Recently, I'm starting to not be bothered about video games as much, the most I'd probably spend on a video game would be between 3 to 4 hours once every weekend, and basically all I do most of the time, in my gaming 'sessions' if you will, is fly around in the Valley of Avalar in DotD, it's just relaxing.

My parents and siblings know about my Spyro 'obsession' so to call it, but they don't even care, they don't even bother with it...

Literally none of my friends play Spyro games, I doubt many of them even know of Spyro's existence. But they don't mind that I play and love Spyro, that is, cuz most of them don't even know it lol

But personally I couldn't care less about what others think of my Spyro 'obsession'

I also love to wander around aimlessly in the Valley of Avalar. I also do it in FFXIII's Archelyte Steppe.

My family makes fun of me for loving spyro, nearly to the point where I just fogtet him. But I don't really mind them anymore. They are just jerks.

It's funny the only person in my family who thinks spyro's not babyish is my grandfather and my sister. Every time I bring a heroes tail or spyro 3 my sister goes into fan girl mode and she's like 16.

Same here! If I'm playing it, I always end up going to VoA to just explore and fly around.

I'm getting the urge to come up with some race circuits in DotD!

And I don't see why everyone goes to the Valley of Avalar for a 'nice, peaceful play'- Twilight Falls, FTW!

I go to the Valley of Avalar as it has a load of hills....after I finish relaxing, I just go BLLLLAAAASSSTTT OOOFFFF!!!

My parents think I should stop playing games altogether now, it sucks.

Just don't pay any attetion to complaining family members, they don't know the meaning of the word 'fun' My parents don't even care and bother anymore with me gaming that much, even though they think I'm a little old for certain games, like Spyro, but they just don't even bother anymore, cuz I wouldn't give in anyway. And maybe I am a little old for Spyro games and the such, but they're fun, and it's better to enjoy your life and have fun as long as it lasts, cuz before you know it your life ends.

I'm honestly not bothered if I die or not, but if I do end up dying, I hope it will be painless and quick.

My dad isn't quite like that, and i think that he thinks we're strange sometimes, and my mom thinks we're really obsessed with spyro. my friends....well, three of my friends are on darkspyro because of me. and i think we are way too obsessed. the past two years for halloween our car theme has been spyro the dragon. and one room in our house is called THE DRAGON ROOM. my friends on darkspyro probably think i am super wierd now that they know that about me. but don't sue me! I AM RUNNING AWAY BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO! and my sister nearly broke my arm when she saw original spyro in a video game store. note to self: never mention this to my friends so they think i am weird with my whole spyro *cough* obsession. wow thats alot

My dad loves the original PS Spyro games to the point where he can't play them, or else he says that he wouldn't be able to stop. He refers to me as "The Spyro Girl" on the subject of how much I love them, too. xD; Otherwise, people I know just kind of accept that I'm a total nerd thus obsess over silly things such as a large-headed, cocky, purple late 90's cartoon character. Some of my friends are even nerdy enough to animatedly discuss how amazing he is with me.

You're so lucky- I wish my Dad and my friends would love Spyro!! I asked my Dad for a Spyro toy the other day, and he gave me a 'WTF?!' stare.

There are kids on this site and you are disrespecting them, the users of the forum who aren't here for this kind of trash, and the Spyro fandom in general by living up to the negative stereotypes passed around about us.

I don't really like to be the bad guy in all this, but you guys are just going too far. These forums used to be worth visiting and a place where it felt okay for younger people to visit, but I can't say that anymore if this is how we're going to behave.

And hey. We need mods. But dark52 doesn't seem to get that and continues to think he can handle the forum himself. With all of the trolls, hate-topics, and off-topic discussions running rampant, it's clearly obvious that he can't. If we had more mods, things would be more orderly.

Yes I know, but at the same time I would like to know if I made any stupid moves in the past, so I may correct it in the future. It's impossible to be perfect, but that doesn't mean I can improve if there's something wrong.

I haven't seen you causing any trouble, CAV. In general, it takes a lot of repeat offenses before I notice (as mentioned previously, I really do have ADD ). When even I'm starting to notice the off-topic junk, that means it's gotten way out of hand. It doesn't help that I get complaints off-site from forum members and would-be forum members about it, too.

That's a relief then.

The only thing I can think of is that if a topic is off-topic, and I have an opinion about it, I share it. I don't know if you would consider that a problem or not. It depends how you look at it. Why do I do this? Because I love giving my two cents about anything I have an opinion of and I'm a loud mofo about it.

It's a shame. But I refer you to my paragraph about how dark52 needs to hire mods. A lot of us have been saying this for the longest. But I guess I'm the only one that still actually cares at this point.

While I'm not entirely much for mods, at this point it's starting to get old watching a once-great site degrade while being unable to do a thing about it.

I wouldn't mind dark52 being the only mod if he was able to control everything. And he's done just that for years. But things are getting out of control and one guy can't handle it. People have listed whom they would think make good mods. I recall SonicBrawler listing Aura24, you, me, and Gwenio. I would love to be a mod. It's something I've wanted to do for years.

I always hesitate to throw my hat back into the mod ring. :/ I don't know if I was good or bad at it, but the circumstances were certainly bad and I took a lot of flack even after having extensively explained my situation to my fellow mods at the time. As long as I don't have to go anywhere beyond the few boards I normally frequent and it is understood by all parties that I have chronic pain issues with my hands and a time-consuming real job, I don't suppose I'd mind.
