KK'S CHAPTA

Karen burst awake, drenched in sweat. She looked around, sighing in relief. Everyone seemed to be asleep still. "Its been a long jorney, they deserve it" She muddered, standing up, she walked to a small rock out of the hotel she'd personaly rented for them (cuz when you got $2,000 in the bank your gonna use it for somthin'). Looking up at the sky, she contempleted. "In front of them, I put on a show, the annoying nerd with only a few words of wisdom, but out here I can be myself" She whispered, her breath visible in the cold night air. Or maby she was breathing Ice like her dragon form, she couldn't tell. "I often seem think to myself, what if I had the power to destroy the human race, with the push of a button, would I push it? Though we as a spiecies are cruel and vile, I know I can't. I could never bring myself to do it. But why does it keep poping into my head?"
because I enjoy to see you look deep, it makes you look wiser than the rest of the lot A dark voice cackled in her mind, and she flinched.

"no...you have a human form to?" Karen whispered softly, her voice slightly cracked
now don't act scared, you know I'm not totaly evil. I'm the wiser of both of us, you know it. If you let me take over every once and a while, I can help.I won't hurt your friends The dark voice suggested kindly, no hint of anger in its voice.

"I know you won't, but why help us?" Karen replied, narrowing her eyes in suspicion, even though she knew the voice was inside her, and wouldn't see it.
because like it or not, you took this form, and you and I both know that I'm part of the package. I'm the origional Ice Shard, The dark Ice Shard. I have my beloved to return to, and I cannot until you can solve this, fix the mess, and unbind from me and your other dragon. The voice replied bitterly.

"just... only dark form when nessasary. try not to do it with my friends around" Karen replied, shakily standing up.
why of corse. you never told any of them about me, did you? very well The voice replied, slightly amused.

There was a small flash of light, and Karen was different looking. Her short dirty blond hair was long and bleach blond, with a single pitch black highlight in the front on the long bangs that covered her left eye. her right eye had a small claw shaped scar, and her green eyes were darker shades of green. Her shirt and jeans were now replaced with a long strapless white dress. She had black elbow to wrist gloves on, and her wings were sticking out of her back. "Hmm, this form is rather enjoyible-"

"Karen? where'de you go?" Desi's voice rang out, and the hotel room's light flickered on.

"curses, another time, for now this is your problem to deal with!" Evil Ice Shard spat, and within a second Karen was back to normal, panting for precious air.

"Karen, you alright!?!" Desi called, running over to Karen and helping her up.
"fine" Karen coughed, looking up. "Lets head to San Fransisco now. I would like to see the red bridge" She replied softly, then rememberd how she was suppost to act, and snaped up strait. "So lets get goin'!"

Desi stared at her for a moment, and her eyes went wide, pointing to Karen's neck. "Where'de you get that?"

Karen looked where she was pointing, and saw she was wearig Evil Ice Shard's choker neclace, with a big ice shard shaped Crystal. She trusted my with her transformation necklace, I should not take this gift lightly.... "oh I went shoping while you guys slept" She lied, looking twards the hotel. "well, we should get the others, eat breakfast, and head off, we wanna get there ASAP right?"

Desi nodded, folling Karen back to the hotel.

...that's freaking epic O.O well, as promised, here's the the real chapter.

After the worst day ever(looking at hundreds of stores and not buying a thing)we set up camp. I volunteered to keep watch, so everyone else went to sleep. I sat near the fire, which was going out, thinking. There was something seriously wrong happening. That voice kept getting into my mind. While we were walking through the city, it kept telling me to steal something. And, even worse, it was getting louder. Sometimes i even thought someone was beside me talking. But the worst part: it was getting harder to resist. Once or twice i actually grabbed something.(I forced myself to put it back)
I decided to take a flight. Hopefully that would take my mind off things.
When I landed, I felt something hit me. I fell over into the dirt. I quickly got back up, my mind racing. I was so scared I almost jumped in the air when i saw a dragon walk out into the moonlight. I gasped once I was able to figure out who it was.
"F-fyre." I stammered. He looked younger, but there was no mistaking it was him. I growledm trying to look meanacing.
He didn't make any move to attack again. Actually, he seemed frightened. I backed off, looking at him curiously. He seemed to calm down a bit, but there was still fear in his eyes.
"I'm sorry! I thought you were my brother!" Fyre apologized.
"Who's your brother?" I asked.
"You mean you don't know?" I shook my head. "My brother is Kelp. Rose is my sister. And Shadow is my mom." I gasped, but didn't ask any questions. "Rose has fought against Shadow for a long time, as you probebly know. I didn't want to follow Shadow's orders, and she turned me dark, which was why i used to be older."
Just then, another dragon plowed through the bushes. Kelp.
"Don't listen to him!" He yelled. "He's lying!"
Fyre backed away from his brother. "You probably came to convince her that you're the good guy."
"That's because i am!"
They both looked at me desperately. Fear was in both of their eyes. I was so confused, i felt like my brain would burst. then i remembered something.
"Kelp saved me. Shadow attacked me, and he was hit instead. You're the lier!" I turned to Fyre.
"That was planned! Shadow knew he would shield you, and she used magic to turn Kelp younger." I couldn't tell if he was lying or not. But i didn't have time to think about it, because a giant blast of shadow exploded somewhere else in the forest. In the direction of the camp.
"NO!" I yelled, then i tried to run to the camp. Fyre grabbed my wrist, holding me back.(We had turned back into humans)
"You won't reach them in time. Once you get back there..." Fyre didn't finish his sentence. Tears started to go down my cheeks. This can't be happening. But however many times i said that in my head, i couldn't convince myself. My friends were gone, and I knew it. They were either turned dark or dead. I was alone now. I had no friends. I had a fifty-fifty chance of getting one ally. I couldn't beat Shadow. It was impossible. I had stopped fighting against Fyre's grasp at that point. I fell onto my knees in sadness. I didn't feel like I wanted to live anymore. What little I had left was now gone. I was alone, and either Shadow or one of my friends would kill me sometime.
I felt the grip on my wrist go away, and I looked up on Fyre. Sadness reflected in his eyes. Then, I made my decision.
I quickly turned to a dragon then blew fire towards Kelp's direction. He didn't have time to move, and could only stand there watching as the flames headed for him. He fell to the ground, unconcious and burned. I felt a strange happiness go through me, but i shook it off.
"I believe you." I said to Fyre, turning human again.
He glanced at his brother. "We need to leave, before he wakes up." I quickly agreed, and we walked back towards the city.

edit: i think with both Karen and my different plots on who's turning evil, it might not turn out to well for a co-op but still, that'd be cool. I might actually use the concept that Karen used later on(in the real story)if that's fine with you, Karen. And, i think it'd be cool if you continued with your version of the story. It's awesome.
