I don't understand it. Also I remember being in Skelos Badlands, and I thought "Oh hey, Spyro should be immune to this lava" Nope. I kind of wished that he was, at least with the lava. Insomniac was kind of stupid there.

Do you remember Cynder coming out of a lava pool in one of the cutscenes in a new beginning? It was when Spyro rescued Terrador I think.

Not really, I haven't played that game in ages. I can't be arsed to play games anymore.

I wonder what it was that made Cynder immune to lava, considering Ignitus died so easily in just normal fire

Yeah probably, so I guess Malefor himself was immune to lava as well.

Malefor doesn't play fair at all, he uses dark magic, which enhances his powers big time

Yeah, he probably gave Cynder a ton of enchantments(such as Shadow Fire)

I think it's Wind. Notice how it's the only element she has that doesn't represent darkness.

That's kind of stupid then, she's supposed to be a dark black dragon and all she used to have was the element of Wind, lol.

Hmm, you could be right... So does that mean black is the color of dragons with the wind element? It wouldn't make that much sense to me though, but your theory could be true, seeing wind isn't a dark power.

She's black because she was originally somewhat of an anti-hero.... they wanted her to look like Shadow the Hedgehog!smilie

Black doesn't seem fitting for wind. Unless the air is polluted or a volcano erupted nearby and the ashes got caught in the wind....

For all we know, she could have been white originally, but turned black by Malefor's dark corruptive powers. And then, when Spyro saved her from Malefor's control, she remained black, as some sort of side effect of being exposed to dark powers for so long. As you all know, she also got to keep some of the dark powers that Malefor bestowed on her during her time as his servant.

Why? She also got to keep some of the dark elemental powers that Malefor gave to her while she was under his control

That is a good theory.

And to solve the plothole about Cynder being purple, we can conclude that it's an after-effect that she would slowly turn purple or something.

I don't think EVERY dragon should be colour-coded with their element. If so, what element would those random dragons in DotD have?
And how do we explain Spyro aquiring fire first?

I don't think it's strange for a fire dragon to die in a fire.
People are under the impression that dragons in LoS are immune to their own element.....but at what point in the trilogy was this actually stated?
So I just think it could be a normal fire....

But then one must concider the sheer idiocy of WALKING through a great wall of fire as opposed to FLYING over it. It didn't seem to high for that to me...

Also if it WAS dark magic, they should have made it more obvious. They could have thrown in a few black flames, or had evil faces appear in the fire or something like that.
I agree with SuperSpyroFan though. Assuming it was special fire sounds to me like you're just inventing a random excuse for a stupid , poorly thought out death scene.

About the lava pool Cynder came out of: That didn't look like dark lava. As far as I'm concerned, if Cynder could survive lava like she did (remember she just randomly shot out of it so who knows, she could have been in the volcano or in the lava for a real long time) then Iggy GUARDIAN OF FIRE should be able to tolerate fire long enough to take a walk.
Also, remember the fire furies? I think that if Iggy can throw a wave of heat and flame FROM HIS BODY he should be able to take some flames, especially with a sheild up.

Maybe the fire was that high that it would take forever to fly over it, and they didn't really have much time, as the Destroyer had almost completed it's circle... I don't know

The fire furies are magic that he himself creates.....ergo, he could use a shield during that(while Spyro charges up a fury, enemies that hit him during the charge don't actually damage him)....
