Well, as far as personalities go, I don't call them "different" per se. I just see it as character development, although I do realise some people find it sudden, though I didn't!

yea, I mean I can understand character devolopment but there really was no time for that or for them to really have any change of personality inbetween TEN and DoTD.

(Am I the only person who thinks Sonic 06 doesn't look horrendous? I've played it before and it wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be *shot*) I personally hate how the elders changed personality-wise. Volteer hardly spoke, Cyril wasn't pretentious and Terrador didn't seem warrior-like and noble. Ignitus stayed the same, but there's not really much you can say about his personality other than 'teacher'.

I also didn't like how Iggy's death was handled... It wasn't sad plus Ricci's voice acting afterwards was just, well, bad. I mean, if a father-figure of yours died in front of your very eyes, your friend wouldn't say a few seconds later 'just let it go.' No wonder Spyro became Dark Spyro then, I'd be pretty mad, too!!

I don't get what's stupid about him dying in a fire. Yes, it's ironic, but maybe that was the writer's intention. I actually find it pretty neat. Most storylines that have an "elemental master/guardian/whatever" make said guardian immune to their element, so they basically avoided a cliche by killing him in a fire.

@Bolt: I said I don't see them as different "per se". They are different, but I understand how the development may have worked. You know the way Cynder just said "let it go" to Spyro? That was a really realistic thing to say, if you look at her background carefully.....

But the fire Ignitus died in wasn't just any ordinary fire you know. It was created by the dark power of the Destroyer remember? Not even a Fire Guardian can survive in that kind of fire powered by dark magic.

I seriously don't mind it, but I know you guys will continue to complain about it like all the other plotholes in DotD until the next game comes out.

It's like ETD all over again. They say it's the worst Spyro game ever made, and now some fans say DotD is the worst Spyro game ever made. Game history will repeat itself...

And to Aura, I personally don't see what's wrong with it; we're not just stating 'I hate DotD', we're giving constructive criticism as to why and ways EL (or whoever is making Spyro's Kingdom) could improve it. At least, that's how I view it in my mind. I don't think it's the worst- far from it, that's Shadow Legacy's trophy- there were just things that bugged me playing the game. C'mon, I know I'm not the only one who had to use subtitles for Malefor! But when it comes down to it, it's all about opinion and shades of grey; nothing is simply black or white... Unless you're a one-sided TLoS/Insomniac fan. For example, I liked the colourful atmosphere of DotD, but it did seem out of place in comparison to the Krome games and did blind me sometimes

I'm a both series Spyro fan, who likes both Old and New Spyro equally.

Strange how most DotD discussions lead to arguements and debates... And I'm a both series fan, too.

Anyway, I wonder what the flying would've been like if Krome had made it- do you think it would've be slightly similar to the ANB flight style but without a set-path?

The flight battles probably would've been like flight in The Guardian game if the producers didn't go on and did the game with EL.

So, we all like both series equally yet we still argue?!

I'm guessing there would still be armour too, since there was armour in Guardians? (I've only ever seen gameplay videos of it, but I'm planning to buy it soon and find out for myself.

I liked the idea of the armour in DotD, it was interesting to see what they would all do when you collect each piece. Now I would like something like that in the next Spyro game. And please be on PS3, otherwise Activision, you suck! I know that part went off-topic but I don't care, lol.

I frakin' loved the armour in DotD!!!

I never used the armor, admittedly because I preferred seeing S & C without it on cutscenes, and I was too lazy to keep removing it for them

I also thought that the armour looked awesome on both Spyro and Cynder. It made them look really cute in my opinion.

We don't know that for sure yet. Could be they plan on releasing SK on Wii and DS at first but plan to port it other consoles if it is successful as EtD was going to do.

Well, guys, let's just not forget that it's almost possible ever Spyro game from SK and on will be Nintendo exclusive. Though, personally, I think Nintendo is the best of the three major companies and is my favorite company overall.

You do that. When Spyro's Kingdom is announced, some fans will be disappointed that it won't be released on the consoles that started the franchise.

I already am, and they haven't released it yet, so to me, the series sucks now.

But the new game might turn things around, and you might just be impressed.

You're a little predictable. Since you weren't impressed with DotD, the most recent Spyro game we've received, you guess you won't be impressed with Spyro's Kingdom even though you don't know what it's going to be about.

I haven't been impressed for quite a while, so can you blame me, and the title makes it seem rubbish anyway.

You can't judge a book by it's cover, or title, for that matter. For all we know, this could completely turn the franchise around and give you more hope for Spyro.

What do you expect? It's a test title, a title under development..

Well for the fact it is going to be for the Wii, I know it will suck, because I don't like any games for the Wii, and I actually don't like the console itself.
