Guys, are we getting off topic with the DotD scores and whatnot??

Well, we were discussing Spyro glitches, which eventually led to glitches altogether. Apparently we love talking about glitches.

So....has anyone got any ideas of how we could discuss both Spyros, or how we can stay on topic? I don't know what to say!smilie

Easy. Which Spyro handheld game is the best? I place this as the topic since it's hard and you have no choice but to ponder it since they all are rather lackluster.

But the best handheld Spyro game is SL.

I reckon the best handheld game was TEN. I just finished it on an emulator, and it's a lot of fun! I also want to get ANB and DotD on DS(I would like to get TEN too, but it looks like the least interesting of the DS ones).

Might have to buy and try, lol. I've played SoI as I borrowed it from a friend, it's boring, and I'm always getting lost around the levels and end up going around in circles, and then it looks like you can make it across gaps and then you don't and fall.

You have a good sense of judgement, then.

Here are mine in order, with 12 the worst and 1 the best(Haven't played any mobiles except ANB and TEN).

12. Fusion
11. ANB GBA
10. SoI
9. Adventure
8. ANB mobile
7. TEN mobile
6. TEN DS
5. SoF
4. ANB DS
3. DoTD DS
2. Shadow Legacy
1. TEN GBA

I think the two handhelds that I would like to try would be SoF and SL, my Mum has a DS, so I could just borrow hers, I don't have a GBA, so does anyone know how I can get an emulator for SoF? Also, is there an emulator for SL? If there is, it would save me paying for it.

If your mum's DS is the original or a Lite model, it should have a slot on the bottom that can play GBA games. If it is a DSi(has a low-quality camera) it will not be able to play GBA games. A GBA SP is only about $25 or something, I think, so you can pick that up as a last resort if you can't find a ROM/emulator.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that, my Mum's DS does have a slot for GBA games, awesome! Thanks for pointing that one out, I'd rather play it on the real thing than having the screen stretched on the PC screen. I can imagine it being all pixelated on the computer.

Fair enough, I'm not really bothered about Nintendo anyway, I don't really like any of their games, I loved Mario when I was a kid, but then I played Spyro, and I could never be bothered with Mario after that.

I've seen a friend of mine play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majoura's Mask, it's interesting to watch, but it's not my type of thing that I'd want to play.

Something that concerns me is that we seem to be judging the potentiality of Spyro games due to who makes them. Am I wrong to question the righteousness of this? A game that was bad, was made in the past. Potential games are to be made in the future. Can these games really be dismissed because of their predessors? Surely this cannot be the course of action to take, to allow this to be our state of mind.

Um, I think AHT isn't really the best one to start with. You should start with the insomniac trilogy, starting with STD on the emulator or something. :\

In the left pic, they are on that "Valentine's Boat Ride" from Dragon Shores in Spyro 2. Classic Spyro is on it with Elora, and LoS Spyro ended up on a boat with a yeti!smilie

In the right pic, Classic Spyro fell down a cliff in the LoS world, presumably because he couldn't ledge grab(obviously, it's meant to be Insomniac Spyro, if you want to be specific).

Basically, it's meant to potray that Classic Spyro wouldn't be able to handle the harder life in the LoS universe, but LoS Spyro wouldn't be able to handle the pure craziness of the Insomniac world!:3

Classic Spyro doesn't have co-op. Neither does LoS Spyro. DotD ITSELF does. I'm pretty sure Spyro won't fall.

But I agree about the neck.

But for the most part, DotD Spyro was bigger and heavier, and Cynder managed to keep him afloat. And by that, I mean that my brother managed to kill himself fighting the final boss while I ran to go do something.
