Last Spyro Game You Bought? [CLOSED]

Just curious, t'is all.

After quite a drought after DotD, I've bought my first Spyro game in two years; Spyro Adventure (Attack of the Rhynocs, for you Americans). If I can just get hold of Spyro 2: Season of Flame, I'll be able to own every non-mobile Spyro game in existance.

And then I'll try to find Crash Fusion to do the same for Crash games, yay.

Eh.

That's cool. I happen to have Season of Flame (in the 2-pack with Crash Nitro Kart), and like it, although I haven't played the other two. Whenever I think of it I always think of that Irish themed level, which I found quite memorable.

And Crash Fusion is awesome... People always hate on that game, it's pretty sad. At the time when I bought it, it was the only non-mobile game I didn't have (this was before Titans, now I'm missing Titans GBA version), and I loved it. The Spyro version (which I also have in the same cartridge) isn't as good.

The last Spyro game I bought would have been The Eternal Night on PS2, which I hate. It's a very depressing game.

DotD on the DS. I played it on an emulator and thought it wasn't too bad, and since it was going cheap, figured I'd get it.

I'll probably get TEN and ANB on the DS eventually too, just because I'm a completionist like that.

Last Spyro game I BOUGHT was TEN on Wii and DotD on 360(bought them at the same time). However, I got some GBA Spyro games through..err....other means.
Also, today, I bought 2100 Microsoft Points as I am going to get ANB on Xbox Live Marketplace.

I like that level, but the way Brian says "top o' the mornin'" just annoys me....

I love the phrase "top o' the mornin'"! Reminds me of the House of Pain song. "You see I'm Irish, but I'm not a leprechaun!"

I've never got any of the Xbox Originals because they don't have achievements or anything, so you might as well just buy the disk for cheaper. If it's compatible with the 360, that is. Wikipedia has a full list of what ones you can play on 360, and any side-effects.

Speaking of MS Points, I need ta get me some!

It just annoys me, because I have never met an Irish person who actually says that.

In Ireland, PS2, GameCube, and Xbox games are obselete, so this is my last option. Plus, it means I can play in HD!smilie

the last one I bought was TEN for GBA. After the PS2 version messed up my PS3, I decided to try my luck with it on a different system. I didn't really care for it though and stopped playing after the first couple of levels.

Last game I got was DotD (Wii) for my birthday. My birthday was 2 weeks before the game's release, but I was more than willing to accept a late gift.

And in August I rented Spyro Orange (Fusion for those in Europe).

ANB on PS2- skipped it when it first came out because 'Spyro looked weird on the cover.' Ahhh, how simple my mind was back in '06. Now I buy every game, if not two different copies for different systems.

Don't. None of them are good. As you can see here, she claims to have made a big mistake by getting Season of Ice, and Season of Flame is nearly the same. Spyro Orange/Fusion is far too easy, and basically the whole game is minigames. Spyro Adventure/Attack of the Rynorcs plain out sucks. The best handheld game is Shadow Legacy, and even still it was a poor attempt at an RPG.

At least try Season of Flame on an emulator. It's really well done.
Season of Ice is tedious and badly done. SOF is very good. AOTR/Adventure is also worth a look at, but there's too much crap going on in it (go here, then here, then go back, then go HERE for a second then never see it again until the end of the game, ect ect).

Fusion/Orange gets boring after a while too, and ANB is EASY(literally, you can beat it in less than half an hour if you actually try).

TEN, however...

WRONG! TEN on GBA happened to be one of the few games which received positive reviews from critics- the people you can rarely agree with. In my view, only 2 games in the Spyro series are better than it- both of which happen to be console games. It's definitely one of the most underrated games ever. And all the Legend DS games are better than Shadow Legacy(Except probably TEN) to me. Also, SoF was great IMO- much easier than the ridiculously hard SoI, which is one of the worst games I've ever played. And I've played some games that suck pretty hard. Also, Adventure was decent but it was too random, and didn't really feel like a Spyro game.

*sighs* I guess that's one reason why opinions suck...

That's the thing; I didn't play TEN for the GBA. I have it for the Wii.

Haven't played SoF or SoI either (never found them in stores), but if someone finds SoI as a big mistake, I figure that SoF won't be any different.

I have played Adventure/AotR and Orange/Fusion. Both are bad. And SL was in fact a poor attempt at an RPG.

SoF is much better than SoI. Like I said, SoI was too hard, but SoF, apart from re-adding Agent 9 and Shelia(whose levels admittedly weren't that great) there are some new breaths and the overall gameplay feels 200% better. Though I did miss Sparx levels.

I finished Hard Mode in a total of 7 hours and 17 minutes, including about an hour of bonus playtime(not revisiting for the bonuses, visiting for fun) and 5 minutes of rebooting after getting killed by the Advisor 3 constantly. It took a span of about one or two days. Lol, I wasn't even going for a speedrun. Of course, I'm not saying it's easy. It really depends on your game skill. I probably would have finished it in the one day if it wasn't 7 pm when I started... smilie /epic fail Not to brag- I had the game memorized to the hidden Naga Easter egg in the Ancient Grove. (Right before you face him, make a path of Ice to the right and inside a hidden cave you'll find a spirit gem. Iif you're lucky he'll wonder next to here and you can see him after adjusting the camera view up. I'm not sure if it would work on the first playthrough if you had Ice then, however, and I do not plan to hack into the game to find out.)

Although, I could probably make that time in the console version, if I used Dark Spyro and exploited glitches....
