I have a feeling that there's not going to be a Spyro game for a very long time, unless it's fan made.

Well, Spyro's Kingdom is set to be released for 2011, as far as we know.

I doubt it. It's on a good few game listings, and Activision are deleting the evidence. Would they do that if it was a lie?

They could cancel it like The Legend of Spyro 3D film.

Yes, but as of now, it's still going.

That's a reason why I am being sceptic about it for the time being, in case they decide to cancel it at last minute.

I'm sure they will at least give us an announcement first.

Super, you just weren't around when the evidence was leaked, which was around the beginning of October. And now that the evidence was deleted, you and Robo are probably one of the few here who thinks Spyro's Kingdom is fake, when the majority of us had already seen the evidence.

Because there hasn't been a Spyro game for, like, a year, I've kind of lost interest in him.

Cancelling the game like they cancelled the film? I am pretty sure that's never going to happen.
Even though Activison has locked down all new info on the Spyro franchise, they'll still make money off it when it's finally released. True, they probably won't make as much money since some people are getting impatient with not hearing anything of it, but they would still make money with releasing it for the few who had enough pateince than not releasing it at all.
Even if they did cancel it, I am sure that would cause dire consequences down the road. Think about how many people would be ticked off that they waited for more than three years for the next Spyro installment and just found out they'll never get it at all. By then the majourity of the fanbase will most likely give up on Spyro and Activison will either have to hand over the franchise to someone who will actullay make another game or let Spyro die.

I doubt history will repeat itself twice. If they cancel this game, Spyro's never going to make a comeback, and they want to make something of Spyro, right? I highly doubt this game is going to be cancelled, and I honestly do not think it's fake.

and (trying to think positively if they did cancel it) the only thing we could do was hope that Activision sold it to some really talented people would give him the comeback he deserves/would need. with everyone that would be p.o.'d about the game being canceled, that decision would ruin Spyro and make people unsure of what to make of any newer versions of him

TasteReports is a site where people/companies test URLs. It says it's Activision's server.

Would the info be fake if it was on the official page of an employee who worked or is working at Activision on the development of Spyro's Kingdom? If you say it is, then you are definitely in denial till Activision reveals the game to us next year then it'll definitely prove that you were wrong about the game being fake.

I feel the same. It's not that I think that the game is fake (Not for definite, anyway) But I refuse to talk about what I expect to see in the game until I see some solid evidence.

But what if the information came from an official game source other than Activision? Would you still think it's fake?

It's not confirmed that they're going to release that game at that time. It's only confirmed that they're planning to. And the only way we'll know for sure if they really will is when they announce it. That could be the reason they're covering up the evidence: they don't want us getting excited for something that might not ever happen.

Either way, I still think there will be a new Spyro game. I just wouldn't say I'm 100% sure about this one.

I'm not sure. It sort of depends how much I trust them.

It would a not-so-smart move for Activision to suddenly cancel the game just because it was leaked to the public.

I'm not saying that would be the reason. It could be a variety of reasons: maybe they're working on some other games the think would be more profitable or they decide a different direction than the one they're thinking of now could be more profitable and delay a new game a little longer. I really have no idea since I don't work for a game company, but I just don't think we can really say this is confirmed for release until they tell us. A lot could happen.

I'm pretty pessimistic, but even I'm willing to think that this is real. Activision has had much sketchier ways of leaking games in the past. Like I've said, as long as Spyro's Kingdom is not similar to DotD, I'll buy it. <.<;

This game's real, in m opinion. I'm convinced by all the sources, which I've seen most of which for myself. I mean, how would the same name, "Spyro's Kingdom", get on multiple people's linkedIn accounts, this Tom Bromhead guy's pages, these Video Game sites, as well as actually on papers in Video Game Stores? I'm completely convinced it's real.

I'm slowly losing interest as well. I never thought I would admit it, but it's just getting so hard to keep on hoping and stuff. I feel like I'm just moving on, but I do hope Spyro makes a BIG comeback. I thought Dawn of the Dragon was okay, but I hope Spyro's Kingdom will be even better. I don't know if I will preorder this one or not, I might wait.

Nobody really knows how Spyro's Kingdom will be. But we can't just say, "Augh, it's a new Spyro game, and we know nothing about it, so we're gonna guess it's worse than the Spyro trilogy and say it sucks!"

Same here. In my opinion, DOTD was a good game, but it doesn't last long before there's nothing to do wth it anymore. Apparently, when Krome was developing DOTD, the flight system that's in the Legend of the Gaurdian's game was going to be used in DOTD. Now that I have the LOTG game, sometimes when I am playing it, I think what a waste of oppurtunity it was that LOTG flight system was abandoned and replaced with a lame one for Spyro's latest game. DOTD's flight system is okay, but go ahead and try Legend of the Gaurdians. I promise that after you've played that game, you'll look back at DOTD and see that flight system as garbage.
Activision should be careful about making Spyro's kingdom. They're only hurting Spyro and themselves by keeping everything top secret, so when that game finally comes out and if it's compelte trash, Spyro will be as good as dead. I hate to admit it, but I know that if I pick up Spyro's Kingdom after a long time of waiting and don't like it, I'll probably never pick up another Spyro game again.

I'm going to use the HIR patented "guilty until proven innocent," thought process. So, Spyro's Kingdom sucks until I hear that it doesn't suck! IT'S FAIL PROOF! <.<;
