I would love if Cynder were in it!
(Spyro and Cynder could be a bit like the Ice Climbers)

I would like Cynder to be a seperate character, seeing that I hate the Ice Climbers.

But unfortunately something tells me that if anything, she would be an assist trophy.

I would prefer if she was seperate too, but asking for that is probably a stretch, and it would fit the theme set in DotD.
Maybe they could be a tag team of sorts.

I wouldn't use the pair though, seeing that I don't like that kinda stuff. Like I said, I don't like Ice Climbers.

By tag team, I meant switch in, switch out(a bit like the Pokemon Trainer and Zelda/Sheik).

Uh, I doubt that would work. Not even Nintendo would get that to work properly.

Well. they managed to get Snake to work well, so I would say there would be no problems getting Spyro and Cynder to work.

Me too. As soon as I played DotD, I was like "they would be PERFECT for Smash Bros!"

Yeah, especially witht heir new designs, flying, and co-op. I don't know, that wuld just be cool! I'd play as both of them non-stop

It's actually possible, with some serious skill, to hack them into the game, with all the Brawl hacking technology out there. In the meantime, I'll just use the character skins of them

Heh, same here. I have the skill to create and use texture hacks, but not model hacks (mainly though because I don't have the right programs).

Like I said, the best we can do is try to find a way to send that suggestion to Nintendo, then wait and cross your fingers for when they announce a new Smash Bros for the 3DS.

They would be great enemies, if you ask me. And I actually have seen that video. That's cool!

That's pretty awesome. It would've been nice if they were smaller so they would like their TEN selves.

A good question though is how the heck am I suppose to put those in my game without getting into any trouble. I'm new with that kind of stuff, so I have no idea.

Yeah, there's a lot of guides out there. But if anyone tries to do it, proceed with caution - It destroys your warranty (which is fine if it's already expired though).

I'd actually like to try and do a Spyro level hack, but I don't know where I'd start. As in, what level to do, etc.

That depends on what warranty you are talking about.

I would prefer they be teen in Brawl, simply because they would have more access to more physical abilities (like grappling).

I don't think they would ever appear officially. Snake appeared because Hideo Kojima literally begged for him to be in Melee, but that game was too far into production to add a new character. As for Sonic, Nintendo set up a poll asking people what Non-Nintendo character they would like to see in Brawl, and Sonic got the most votes. However, it is commonly believed that Nintendo already had Sonic in the game before that poll was set up.

Spyro stages for Brawl?
Ripto's Arena(Spyro 2), Magic Crafters(Spyro 1), Dreamscape(TEN), Valley of Avalar(DotD).

There are so many possibilities for Spyro worlds in Brawl.. I can't narrow it down!

Yeah, but we could send them a letter with suggestions and such, and maybe they'll notice that it's not a bad idea, and include them into the next game. It's worth a shot.

I agree. They would be great in Brawl. They may only allow 2 stages for them in brawl, but they'll choose epic ones no doubt.

Not really, when in the end there are still tons of Nintendo characters, and they outweigh the third party characters.

Whilst it sounds pretty cool, I don't even think Spyro made the cut. The Japanese don't even care about LoS for a start, so...... It's unlikely they'd do it sadly.

I know they did, but as you said, they didn't sell too well. Although they had their own native games, like Mario, Zelda, Sonic etc.

As a side note, the Japanese name for Spyro 2 is hilarious!

I doubt they sold well. But at the same time, they sold very well in America and Europe, so they can make him exclusive to those versions or something.

I think Spyro and Cynder in a smash brawl would fail. Unless they had some adjustments made to them, they would definately need to be able to move faster around the arena, and have more melee attacks, and different fire breaths. They would need to be edited in some way.

Well of course they would need some tweaks! Spyro would be a medium speed, medium weight and have a good amount of raw power. Cynder would be high speed, lowish weight and medium power, but her diverse elements would make up for it.

Yeah, it could work. What about ANB Cynder? LOL, she'd be too big to fit on the screen.

For the power up you can get, Cynder could turn into her corrupted self!

I suppose that would be kind of like being invincible for about 30 seconds, could be a good concept.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking! And for Spyro's Final Smash he could turn dark and use convexity or his dark fury!

Yeah, they both could. But being two different characters, I think they should both have something different. And, since Cynder's back story is a lot darker, I'd like to see her corrupted form! But hey, either would be cool

Someone pointed out a DoTD cameo in HTTYD. I played it today, and here's my own little description of the cameos/similarities in it.

In the console game of How To Train Your Dragon, there are various developer lazes and a few unofficial references to Spyro games. The HUD, menus and loading screens are all very similar to Dawn of The Dragon(as well as many of the abilities, text font and several sound effects). Also, the gems which fill up your fire bar look almost exactly the same as the Dawn of The Dragon health gems. As well as these, the Deadly Nadder's Head customization piece 2 has the same horns as dark Spyro and glowing eyes. Nose Piece 2 for it has has crests similar to the Dawn of The Dragon Spyro. Wing piece 2 is similar as well, but each wing has a tear on it. Markings 2 also has some resemblance to Spyro, with rib marks on the sides. Lastly, The Hideous Zippleback's Spine piece 2 has some resemblance to Spyro and has crests the same colour, as well as its Wing piece 4, very similar to Insomniac Spyro(Wing piece 2 also has very similar colours to Spyro's wings with a slightly different design) and the Monstorous Nightmare's Head piece 4 has a partial resemblance to Insomniac Spyro's horns. These are not mere coincidence, as the same developers which worked on Dawn of The Dragon, Étranges Libellules(or ELB/EL), created the game. On a side note, the way the Training Camp is displayed as you walk into it may be a reference to Kameo: Elements of Power, and the Dragon's Den selection music sounds a bit as if it has one of the parts from track 17, Ortho's Theme, remixed slightly.
