Oh geez. Darkspyro, are you purposely trying to get us arguing? You obviously didn't think before you post.

Um, why should we have a war between TLOS and classic? It's those wars that are ruining our fanbase. It's not fun, and this topic will just start an argument.

You should close it.

He purposely posted this topic in hopes of watching us arguing pointlessly over which Spyro is better. It's obvious, even the topic title says it all.

He probably things the wars are fun, which they're not.

Well if he continues acting like this, he'll be banned from here.

But why? When you think about it, the series aren't that different. Just Spyro, being Spyro. But, of course, DotD Spyro jacked off the gaystick.

Well, the atmosphere is different. Classic Spyro being light hearted, while TLOS being all dark and dramatic. Classic Spyro is about an ordinary dragon (who happens to be small) who goes around collecting treasure, going into different portals and homeworlds in order to proceed. Oh, and you toast wonderful sheep. It takes about two shots to kill an enemy, and the enimies are spread out all over the place, and the games have many puzzles. There isn't any gems and portals in TLOS, it has a mazzive plot, the main character is special, being a purple dragon born once every ten generations and can master all the elements (and has powers beyond anyone can imagine). It takes about ten blows to kill an enemy, and about 20 apes get thrown at you every second......

They're not that simmilar at all IMO. If Legend Spyro would have been a different colour, like a gold dragon, and his name wasn't Spyro (and his best friend isn't called Sparx and he's not a dragonfly), I wouldn't have even considered the game being similar to original Spyro in anyway, being a completley different dragon series....

I think that if the Legend of Spyro series wasn't so rushed, it would have been epic.

Maybe for example, the one in charge decides to reboot the Spyro series in 2006, then the first game of the new series should have been done and released in 2008.

IMO, TLOS had quite a fair bit of potential, especially DOTD....

Yes, it did have a lot of potential, it's just that they didn't really go on to use it in my opinion.

Also, fights like this happen all over the place, on this site and others. We really DON'T need a whole topic for it.
On top of that, there's not 'prooving' which it better. Though I like to debate my own oinions, the two are totally different and it really is all about your taste in games that defines your idea of better. So yeah, we can argue till we can't fit another page on this thread, but there will still be debate and disagreement at the end of it. So let's just drop this, kay?
