Seriously though, the OP is proof that fansite ratings mean absolutely nothing. Fantards aren't going to look at the game critically and give an intelligent rating; they're just going to say it's perfect without even thinking to make the game look better.

I only declare war on LoS fans when they tell me Spyro/Cynder is the only acceptable pairing in the franchise.

I like TLoS and the Classics, but I openly admit the TLoS games weren't great. They were ok to play, ut had many flaws.

I'm a fan of both the Classic and TLoS
But in every game there are flaws, cliches

I heartily dislike LoS, but I have played all of the games more than once (except DotD; couldn't make it through a second playthrough there) and I can admit that it has a couple of good qualities. If it weren't needlessly attached to the Spyro franchise, it would probably be my favorite mediocre dragon game series.

Heh, that sunk in for me right after I met the first literally crazy Cynder fan (as in: he was on meds and talking to a therapist...about her! D: ). It's rather depressing, actually, because I was a member of this fandom before it reached this current level of awefulness. I miss the old days.

Seriously, even though I love the classic Spyro games more, I like the LOS series, too. Both series are good in their own way, imo.

Only reason I like the classic games more is because to me, they're alot more fun than the LOS games. For the LOS games, I find them to be enjoyable, too, but the classic games held a special place in my heart. Besides, DOTD is my favorite in the new series anyway. :/

So Classic fans can't bash LoS but you can bash Classic Spyro? I don't think so.

And this is the logic that no one ever thinks of, whether you hate them or not the classics are what you should be thankful for, because without them we wouldn't have the games now, or the fan base that inspired the publishers to continue...

Seriously though, even if Classic Spyro never happened, someone at Sierra could of just said:
"Hey, let's make a game about a little purple dragon called Spyro who goes on an epic quest and has to take down another purple dragon called Malefor!"

I'm not sticking up for Classic haters, as I love the Classics, but saying that it's impossible for TLoS to have existed without the existence of Classic Spyro is not true.

True, but then he would've probably been a different colour.... I for one think a Golden dragon as the star of the Legend series would have really been epic!
