Yeah, I know. His wings are big in the game, are they not? Just not the concept art.

But they look a little too small to be eligible for flight, don't they?

indeed they do. i was thinking the same thing. plus, the tips are brown in the art, but green in the game!!! and he has more brown-purple parts, not brown ones...

Well, Terrador is an Earth dragon. Perhaps he was destined to stay on the ground...

Yes, they are too small. If you notice, most all the dragons wings are too small, especially spyros. i guess it makes sense he couldnt fly till the third game xD

Frankly, all of their wings are too small for flight, even Cynder's (and hers are huge). They're magic talking lizards who have their own religion, I don't think physics should play into this.

^ Bees are not fantasy, and they shouldn't be flying, due to physics (too fat bodies, too small wings), but they fly Heh, bees are one thing, what about bumblebees? Thay're way too heavy and their wings are way too small to fly.

But doesn't a game need a little bit of logic? |
Razz Platinum Sparx Gems: 6124 |
#19 Posted: 01:33:05 30/11/2010
It only needs its own internal logic, which, believe it or not, is already there in LoS. We have magic and thousands of things that aren't technically possible already happening in the games (for one, Spyro literally cannot talk with a mouth and head shaped like his; technically, he shouldn't be able to walk at all with legs that small, or, in the case of DotD, a musculature system that deformed). If a dragon who doesn't have lips, flat teeth, and a human vocal chords can speak English, I'm pretty sure flying with wings that are a bit too small isn't a problem.
Oiy, what's with you kids these days and insisting on realism all the time? Haven't you guys ever seen a cartoon before? |

Yes, but look at how fast their wings beat... A dragon, especially with wings like that, could never fly as quickly as that.IMO, the structure of the wings there hasn't got enough muscle. |

#21 Posted: 03:49:48 30/11/2010
Yeah, those dragons can't fly by the laws of our universe. Bees can fly through some amazing acrobatics of their wings. Though now that you say it, a dragon inspired by a bee would be awesome...

Something like this one in HTTYD? I don't know it's name in English, but it was the dragon flapping its wings like bee.

^ Its a Gronckle ! Btw bumblebees according to laws of physics should be not able to fly due to their small wings and high mass.

Pretty much the best, creepiest documentary about bees out there. It discusses how they can fly, among other things. |
