Yeah, there are a lot of pairing topics going around of late. Why not have one for the most neglected (and most canonical) 'ship in the whole franchise?

Anyone else got any art or stories about these two? Or screenshots from Shadow Legacy showing off those love letters they were writing?

I've always wanted to play Shadow Legacy so badly! Since I've never played it, I know nothing about Bandit other than what I've heard, so I'm not exactly a fan of the couple, mostly because I know nothing about it.

So Ember never had any interactions with Flame, but with Bandit instead?

Ember had a whole starcrossed lovers story with Bandit, never mind just interactions!

I do like this couple, it showed that Ember was capable of maturing and moving on.

Edit: Anyone find Darby's placement funny? There's Elora/Fem!Spyro on top, Gnasty/Bowser down below, and poor normal Spyro just going "GYAH WTF?!".

I didn't know there was a really big thing between Ember and Bandit. If only I had a DS, I could know..

Could be either way, actually. If he was positive about it, it'd be because he managed to both score with Elora in strange ways and get the main local threat to the Dragon Kingdom out of his scales while also saving the Mushroom Kingdom and it's princess thereby killing two birds with one stone and making him the most epic hero ever.

But that's going off topic already. SL also had references to all five of the main predecessors and the last appearances of non-LoS characters like the Professor and Bianca, while also giving us their families. It certainly could be a shipping haven if you looked hard enough, although Ember and Bandit were of course the only ones that were canon (the dragons and armadillos are enemies for some reason, despite not actually doing anything to hurt the dragons at all. Seriously, the dragons treat them like they were gnorcs. :/)

Awww... The dragons were being jerks again, it sounds like. But this does add a fun Romeo and Juliet thing into the mix (and, since it's a kids' game, nobody has to die this time ).

Because...due to...as a result of...I don't remember it telling us why specifically. Maybe she said "he's cute" once, I dunno.

Probably because he returned her affections? I've never played SL, so I don't know the details, I just know they were swapping love letters. It's got more reason to it than Spyro/Ember ever did. *shrug*

I never played SL and barely heard of Bandit.. can someone give me a synopsis of what's this shiiping is about?

Spyro delivered Bandit's love letter to Ember, then they met each other and fell in love.

Best Spyro pairing IMO(Except SpyroXElora).

Bandit wanted Spyro to accompany him to the Dragon Village. In one of the houses, he met Ember, and it was love at first sight.

Most of the new characters in SL were either just relatives of old characters or in the same tribe, though. The only one who wasn't was...well...the Sorceror.


Now that I think about it, I can see why it fared poorly...

I agree, SL was great, so were the characters. I would love to see more of Zinc!

There are roughly 151 dragons I'd rather see ahead of Zinc. Granted, some of them got to appear in EtD, but flip it, I want to see Romey again! :<

Yeah, Zinc was cute. I also liked all of the dragons in the little tropical holiday place, I forgot what it's called. Oh yeah, was Artigan a male or a female? The first time I played through the game, I thought it was a girl, but now I'm starting to think its a male. I don't have a DS at the moment, so I can't check.

I have a dragon called Zinc. I think he was named after the little dragon in the village/kingdom in SL. But my Zincy isn't in the Spyro universe, and he's also big for his age. His main colors are silver and blue, and breathes ice.

I've heard nothing good about SL, but you guys are still making me want to play it. I'm curious about these characters.

SL is a good enough game. However, if you didn't like LoS, you probably won't like SL.

Oh, I already know LoS is just SL and AHT with all the last remnants of fun sucked out. I want to see where the LoS writers got literally all of their ideas.

I enjoyed it overall, but it is a short game, and does have glitches.

I really liked the game. I only ran into a couple of glitches, and they weren't particularly dangerous. I know that Artigan is a male now. I feel silly for thinking he was a girl. I liked Hunters family/friends in His home, but Bianca's were kinda stupid. I mean, why did she live in lost fleet? And all her family and friends were nothing like her.

I used to think that Cho Lei was male, actually. Hey, every other elder was male. :/

I thought that too until I played through SL again and noticed that the other characters used female pronouns to refer to her.

I can't believe I never noticed that before.

I would have played Shadow Legacy if it were for something other than Nintendo DS.... along with a lot of people saying that the game was bad, it had to be on the DS only?

A female elder gives this game a few bonus points. How often do we get that in Spyro (this would be the only time I know of, unless you count Nanny in AHT as an elder and the Sorceress as a banished one).

Yeah, It's awesome that Cho Lei is a female, but it really surprised me. It doesn't help that characters don't have voices in shadow legacy.
