Hey, if movie producers think putting pop songs by Brittney Spears and having characters voiced by child actors in a Bone movie, a seris similar to Lord of The Rings.. I think giving Spyro blue eyes is a VERYYY innocent mistake.
(That's what Bone's Author Jeff Smith said when he pulled the plug too, you wouldn't put pop songs in a Lord of The Rings movie, so you shouldn't in Bone either.)

Well, look at the camera. That was an obvious fail since some idiot put it there. Spyro's eyes aren't a fail, more of a humorous mistake.

Just look: in the 'cancelled' Spyro movie they made his eyes blue: Thank you all for attention and sorry, DeathStar, but this was a big mistake (for me, childhood bound with StD etc. etc.)
