I was watching some voice clips of the new Sonic voice actors and really liked the majority of them. So it got me thinking - Who would voice the Spyro characters in the next game? It's been two years since DotD and les's face it, Hollywood actors will only stick around for so long. I would like the current actors to stay but I have a feeling they won't. So here you can suggest voice actors for your favourite characters, Classic or LoS. If you can, show us a sample of the actors' previous work, and tell us why you think this person would be good for the character. If you want, you can suggest multiple people for the one character.

And with that, here are mine:

Spyro(Classic and LoS) - Roger Craig Smith: The new voice of Sonic! He would make a great Spyro, all he has to do is sound less gruff. He would even be good for LoS Spyro. See his work on Chris Redfield for that.
Roger's Sonic voice:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pVHJeIUWOI
Roger's Chris Redfield voice:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJYZqqbexV0

Also, I think Steve Burton, known for doing Cloud Strife, would be good for LoS Spyro, if he just made himself sound a little younger, like he did in Crisis Core (Cloud was 16 in that I think)

Steve's Cloud voice:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...feature=related

Cynder - Brittany Snow: Does Namine in Kingdom Hearts 2. Something about her voice just clicks when you envision it being put with Cynder.
Brittany's Namine voice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...feature=related

Sparx - Jamie Foxx: Played Nick Rice in the movie "Law Abiding Citizen". Now, I know this is quite a serious, mature movie, but I think Jamie would make a great Sparx. There are some parts where he is talking in a more friendly way, and these parts make me think he would be great for Sparx. He wouldn't even have to force it.

Law Abiding Citizen trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX6kVRsdXW4
I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for a great, suspenseful movie.

That's all I've got so far! Anyway, looking forward to hearing what everyone comes up with! I will make more suggestions later!

Spyro: Jason Marsden
Jason Marsden is an awsome voice actor and he knows how to make a cool and edgy voice to give any character he voices "attitude". voice of Tak in Tak and the power of juju.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...feature=related
Hunter: Phil LaMarr
Phil Lamar can make his voice sound like alot of celeberties like Billy Crystal,Chris Rock, and Will Smith and he would make a cool hunter.

Sparx: Billy west. He was awsome as legend sparx so i thought he would be cool as both sparx's.

Hmm... I think Spyro could be done as... I dunno smilie But this reminds me of the thousands of topics on the Spyro Movie Board smilie

But Cynder? Well here's my favorite actress who I think would be pretty good:

Nicole Sullivan, voice of Shego (from Kim Possible) and Marlene (from Penguins of Madagascar). She's actually good at evil (shego), but can do a sort of kinder voice as well.

For me... Take the entire cast of Legend of the Guardians. They performed beautifully, I can easily see some matching up:
Spyro - Soren
Cynder - Otulissa
Adult Cynder - Nyra
Sparx - Digger
Elora - Gylfie
Malefor - Metalbeak

And so on. Maybe Ezylryb for Iggie, oh better, Boron! The snowy leader of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole. Ezylryb could be Terrador instead thanks to his gratey voice, and Allomere could be Cyril.

They're good, but I would never get used to Spyro, Cynder and Sparx having British accents! smilie

Actually, Spyro seemed to have a british accent at bits in the Legend sereies. And yeah, that would be cool to have Ga'Hoole characters voice Spyro characters, because I'm a fan of both.

I know, right? The second I heard about a Spyro movie coming out, she was the first actress that came to mind to play Cynder. But the movie's cancelled now (as we all know smilie)

Something about the accents makes it more genuine and less... Hollywood-ish. It makes it seem more real like it's own place.

Yeah, but why posh British accents? That sounds even more Holloywood-ish, because Hollywood fantasy movies often give the characters that type of voice. Although, I did hear a bit of British in Spyro's ANB/TEN voice, but not DotD. Elijah just used his normal speaking voice there. Same with Christina Ricci.

But, if they had to have an accent, give them an Irish accent! And not a stereotypical one either. There are many different Irish accents to choose from. And I am Irish so I know! I myself, actually sound like an American, even though I have never been to America, but I am pretty good at voice acting, and Irish accents are easy to do! (I practice in my spare time!)

Another good voice for Spyro would be Matthew Mercer. He voiced the video game character Scaler the chameleon and his Scaler voice had a little of classic spyro's attitude in it so he would be cool also.

Hmm. . . Maybe. I mean Scaler in general seems like a comical game. I wouldn't mind Spyro going back to that. . . ah nostalgia. Anyway, Scaler's voice seems a bit. . . 14 - 16 year old'ish. Spyro seems to be in the league of a 8-12 year old. So Matthew Mercer, may not fit, but I don't know how well Matthew can carry his voice. So it might work.

Spyro isn't human, so most people wouldn't be able to tell his age without looking it up. He's 12 in the classic games (except STD) so I think it could work, seeing as it's not a huge stretch. Tom Kenny sounded quite deep and casual. This is similar, except a bit higher pitched and more spunky. Roger Craig Smith's Sonic voice is kind of like that, except deeper.

^Yes!

I'd like to hear Deidrich Bader do a voice in Spyro. IDK who, but I just love his voice so much!

He did the voice of Warp Darkmatter (The blue guy) in an old cartoon called Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

Here's a good example of his villain voice (he goes evil in the movie and stays that way in the following show).
