rember in DotD when chronicler said "each time a dragon dies a page is writen in this book.I cant seem to find any trace of spyro" Well he or ignitus could have checked spyro's OWN book there probably would have been somthing in there or cynder's book! Now slap me if im wrong but Ignitus could of right?

If he is not listed in the book of the dead then they are alive. That is all it meant.

On-Topic: They didn't need to. If the book didn't have their names in, they aren't dead. Besides, who said Spyro had his own book? He might have, but again, "Each time a Dragon dies, a page is written is this book. I've searched but can find no trace of Spyro." no page of Spyro = No Death...

well, you can think what you want, but it would have been nice to know what actualy happens... in some kind of detail... so consder t a plot hole, but i can see where your coming from Aura... it is debatable..

yeah i watched the cut scene bu theres no real in depth explenation... it like the LOS equivelant of a hero's Tail ending.Anyway, i'm done here, thats just my 2 cents.

I do, the Chronicler wrote Spyro's book and showed it to him in TEN, including Cynder's. Each individual dragon have their own book written by the Chronicler.

Frankly, I think LoSpyro and Cynder are between life and death. They're not technically dead, so of course they aren't in the book of the dead. But I don't think they're alive, either. Spyro and Cynder are the heart of the new world and they are basically the eternal guardians of the planet now (and, in Spyro's case, he's what's keeping everything held together). I don't think they will ever age (because they're not alive).

I believe you said something like that back in 2009, Razz. :3 Back in the Sierra forums.

I'm sure I did. It's been one of my pet theories since I finished DotD back in the day. It was cooler to me than those two just magically being alive for no reason.

Oh, I dunno. The world imploded on them, Spyro used all of his powers trying to hold things together, they were already dang close to the dead (what with all those spirits talking to them), no one being able to see them even though they were flying in a populated location... I can think of a lot more reasons for them being dead than I can think of for them being alive.

Well, they could have been alone in the area at the end. Plus, only Spyro was doing anything, so I question why Cynder would also be dead..

Again: at the center of an exploding/imploding planet, right next to the epicenter of serious physical/magical forces being released, surrounded by devastating heat, etc.... There's even less reason for Cynder to be alive than Spyro (what with her not being a magical purple whatever and all).

As I recall we cannot tell if it is populated or not, as we do not see what is below them and there are no people in the scene other than them.

True-ish, I suppose, but popular consensus is that it's the Valley of Avalar and we know there were at least two cheetahs who stayed behind (Meadow and the Hermit). Still, that doesn't negate any of my other points.

Well... Cynder IS "Purple Dragon..." AND NO! Colour of her scales are still black. She BECAME what is called "Purple Dragon," partially because exposure to power of both Spyro and Malefor, but mostly because somewhere at beggining of ANB, Laws Of Nature started skaing at roots, and by end of that game, they pretty much gave up.

But this has nothing to do with SpyroVerse, TLOS was just novel/movie someone wrote, without even meeting Spyro, or Cynder, Or WHOEVER OF CHARACTERS STARRED AT ALL!!!

Or the writers didn't think this through and just BSed a really stupid reason into the story for Cynder to be an even bigger Mary Sue than she already was.

Abou that thing with 'Cyn being a Mary Sue... I repeat, I blame TLOS/DOTD! for it

Now, let's talk about, sandwiches

They are just plain alive IMO. Anyone else notice that when Spyro started pulling the world back together, Cynder was raising her head and a big light came from her mouth? Keep your eye on Cynder at 1:58

I noticed that too, sonicbrawler. The light comes from her mouth right before she says the lines "I love you", and right when she says "I love you", the orb around Spyro starts pulling the world together. I myself believe they're alive, and Spyro's Kingdom refers to the Earth after Spyro saved it. Like, it's his Kingdom, because he saved it and brought it to what it is now.

Yeah, I was thinking that Cynder got them out right before the world closed up.

oh and i have to point out something too. in that video at 2:22 you can see that half the world has blue light around it. the blue light is Cynder's magic.

The light coming off Cynder looks like a reflection on the crystal behind her. As for the magic bubble, it's all purple with the white light from inside the planet tinting it blue at times. That's just how the light spectrum works.

well the reason it's all purple at the beginning was because Spyro used his magic first.

I can't see anything..... I hate to sound like I'm being biased, but all I can see are the reflections like Razz stated.

the planet is surrounded by all purple light at first and then half of the light turns dark blue. the dark blue is Cynder's magic.

look if the developers put Cynder's collar and braces back on while she doesn't have them on in TEN then i doubt that they'd pay attention to the color spectrum.

I do believe some of it is Cynder's magic. With Spyro's being a purple fury and Cynder's blue, it was very intentional. I don't think they thought so deeply into the light spectrum from light coming from the center of the planet, also they're the same color the whole time even though the planet is completely open at the beginning. I think that without Cynder's help and magic is the reason they're not fully "dead."
I tried to get some images to explain what I mean:

One side is dark even when the whole planet is open, so it can't be the light.

Thanks miniredd. I actually still think it's just the way the color has changed myself, otherwise we'd have actually seen Cynder helping out (After all..... Everything Cynder does in this game is monitored).

Nope, still not Cynder's magic. The blue is a result of the planet chunks blocking some of the light from the planet core and reflecting shadows against the purple.

Cynder's fury is purple in-game, just like Spyro's. And her magic is supposedly a direct result of being exposed to evil. Even from a plot standpoint, it would make no sense for evil magic to be a part of what helps save the world.

The fury is only because it's meant to be convexity.

I never did say I thought it was Cynder's magic. I'm just saying as she said "I love you", that's when Spyro's orb expanded to the whole Earth, puling it in. The timing seemed to be intentional, in my opinion, of course.
