Lol Okay, next chapter!

Chapter 5

I could not sleep that night. For some reason, everytime I tried to close my eyes I remebered that threat in the clouds. Cynder told me it was nothing; probably just a dragon playing a prank on me.

I did not believe her.

Before I knew it, the sun had risen and I had not slept for even a moment. I was tired, but sleep refused to come. The sun was now completely full in the sky, and I felt like passing out.

Until they came.

"Cynder? What is that?" I asked.

Cynder padded up beside me and looked out into the sky. There were two specks that looked like birds, but much larger. They came closer and I realized that they were two dragons. When they landed, I saw that one was pink and the other was orange.

"There he is! The purple dragon!" chirped the pink one, who I realized was a dragoness.

"Finally," panted the orange dragon.

Cynder tilted her head. "Who are you two? How did you find us?"

"I am Ember, and this is my friend Flame." the dragoness dipped her head. "The temple, where you once lived, is under attack. I was training there and Terrador sent me to try to find you."

I turned to Cynder. "Who's Terrador? What temple?"

Cynder looked at the two new arrivals. "He has amnesia."

"What? Our only hope for the entire dragon world can't remeber his own name?!" yelped Flame in shock and dissapointment.

I shook my head. "I remember my name!"

Cynder rolled her eyes, then turned to Ember. "We can't leave, Spyro's wing is broken. He can't fly."

Ember exchanged glances with Flame worriedly. They were both obviously suprised that all of this was happening. Finally, Flame cleared his throat and said, "We'll wait here for a while. When you're wing is healed, we will all go to the temple together."

Cynder nodded. "Sounds like a plan!"

There you go! And yes, Ember and Flame are completely grown up like Spyro and Cynder. And this isn't gonna become a Cynder vs. Ember topic, I promise.

Chapter 6 (part 1)

I actually learned to like these new dragons. They were fine. Cynder was not around dragoness' often, so she was especially happy to be around other females. Flame was a lot like me, but younger and a bit wilder. But overall, the rest of the time on the ledge of the forest was fine.

But I still was not sure who Terrador, who had requested help, was.

When I awoke the next day, my wing felt different. I flexed them both and that's when I realized - My wing was healed. I immediatly woke Cynder up, who growled irritably. "What?" she asked sleepily.

"My wing! It's fixed!" I exclaimed happily.

At this, Ember woke up and yawned. "Your wing's fixed? That's great! Now we can get back to the temple and help!"

Flame awoke too. "Wing? Fixed? Great! Now we can leave!"

And not even moments later we were taking off into the sky, ready for the long trip to the temple... Whatever that was.

My criticism would have to be the wing healing extremely quickly (within ~12 hours), but so far so good.

i think of ^ that , constructive criticism. and i think in wich i think is the best an author can get from readers

Actually, it took Spyro's wings a few days to heal. Remeber, they slept now and then throughout the chapters. Besides, their dragons... I think they probably heal faster than humans. And I don't mind Constructive Critism at all, BTW

I have writers block, bare with me

It took about more than a month for my arm to heal, so judging via that, I would assume, depending on the thinkness of the bone, that it would probably take similar time. My two cents.

Yeah, I know... My other reason for him healing quickly was that I just kinda wanted to get to some action.

(and I broke my arm once too)

Chapter 6 (part 2)

We landed at what looked like a building... sort of. It was covered in scorch marks, and crumbling in different places. I was suprised that anyone could live in such a place. It gave an unsettling feeling to me. I looked at Ember. "Where is this place?"

Cynder stepped in front of her, wanting to answer the question. "A temple where dragon masters, such as Volteer and Terrador, train and live. You learned all your skills here, Spyro."

Flame nodded. "Yeah, ever since Ignitus became the Chronicler, Terrador has been using this place to train dragons. Ember and I were both brought here to train just a few weeks ago."

Ember opened her mouth to speak, but we suddenly heard footsteps coming from the temple. Slowly a large shadow came into view, and the largest dragon I had ever seen padded forward. He looked at Cynder, then Ember, then Flame, then at last at me. He smiled hugely.

"Ah, Spyro, you've come at last." he sighed in relief to see me.

"Who are you?" I asked.

The dragon tilted his head and looked at me in a funny way. Ember stepped forward and slowly murmured, "He has amnesia, Sir, he hurt his head and lost his memory."

There was a long silence. I wanted to say something, but I was worried I would end up saying the wrong thing so I kept my mouth shut. Finally, the green dragon spoke. "My name is Terrador, and I am a master here at the temple. I trained you in the ways of earth when you were just a hatchling. Now, I need your help... we need your help."

I nodded. I did not remeber my past, but I knew it was my job to help.

Chapter 7

Terrador starred at me for a long time. Finally he said, "Follow me, Spyro. I need your help. We all need your help."

"We? Who's 'we'?" I asked. There were more giant dragons in there? I had no clue there were any other dragons beside me and Cynder! The idea of a whole room full was a bit overwhelming.

Terrador turned away from me and back towards the temple. Cynder and Ember followed, then Flame. I cautiously followed after them. We padded into the large temple and I could tell and Cynder and I were completely shocked.

Hatchlings!

The room that I assumed Terrador used for training was filled with young dragons and dragonesses learning to fight. I was awestruck. "What is this place?"

"This is where we train dragons for the war." Terrador told me grimly.

I swallowed. With a quick glance at Cynder, who was still stunned at the sight, I asked, "What war?"

"Something is coming, Spyro. We don't know what it is yet, but we believe it is you who will save us... Again. But the thing coming is too strong. You will need an entire army. That is why I am training them." Terrador smiled as he looked throughout the entire room.

A small little green dragoness padded up to me. She looked at me with wide emerald eyes. "Are you the purple dragon?" she asked. I nodded with a small smile, and she looked up with hopeful eyes. "Tor over there told me that you're just another dragon. But I think you'll save us." she looked bitterly at a blue dragon working on charge attacks.

I smiled. "I'll do everything I can to save all of you. I promise."

Cynder padded up to me and nuzzle me. I shivered with surprise, never expecting something like that. "You can do it, Spyro, I know you can."

I smiled. Cynder believed in me. However, my expression changed. Cynder believed in me, but did I believe in myself?

Chapter 8 (part 1)

At dinner that night, I was eating alone when Terrador padded in. "Spyro," he greated me, "There is someone who wants to see you."

"Huh?" I asked. I was a bit worn out, honestly, for I had met so many people today already that I really was not in a social mood. However, I sighed and said, "Okay, who?"

At that moment, a yellow faerie-looking creature flew into the room. "Spyro, buddy! How're ya?" asked the creature. It hugged my neck.

"Spyro, meet Sparx... Your brother." Terrador explained. He then turned and padded away with a smile.

"I... I have a brother?!" I asked aloud.

Sparx looked at me. "It's so great to see ya, bro! Hi!!!" he exclaimed.

"Uh... hi...?" I replied.

Chapter 8 (part 2)

Sparx grinned. "Okay, I know all about your amnesia and all that. Let's skip the introductions and go straight to catching up... How are ya?"

"Uh..."

"That's great, me too!"

"Er..."

"Awesome!"

Sparx was starting to scare me. I backed up a bit when Cynder padded in. I had never been so relieved to see her. She smiled as she saw Sparx. "So, you two have met?"

I nodded slowly, still overwhelmed.

Cynder rolled her eyes. She then padded over to me and sat down. With a small smile, she murmured, "They're all counting on you."

"Huh?"

"Flame and Ember and Terrador and all the little hatchlings. They all depend on you to save them."

"But I don't even know what I'm fighting!" I said, almost snapping.

Cynder nodded. "I know," there was a long pause. It felt like an eternity to me. I was amazed that the dragoness was able to stay so calm. Finally, she spoke. "Terrador is going to find Ignitus, the Chronicler. He will supposedly tell us exactly what we're facing."

I nodded, relieved. I had no clue who Ignitus was, but I hoped that he would give us the information we needed.

The information we needed to save the whole dragon world.

Ignitus looked at me, and I cringed. He seemed so... So powerful. I couldn't help but dip my head in a small bow. He shook his head. "No need to bow, young dragon. I should be the one bowing, actually." he dipped his head a bit. "But we must cut to the chase: Darkness is consuming our world, and you are the only one who can save us."

I swallowed. Was I up for the challenge?

Chapter 9

The next morning, I awoke with Cynder next to me. I had never felt so embarassed. Gently pushing her away, I sat up, ready to meet Ignitus. Because I was moving, this must of woken Cynder up. Her emerald eyes flashing open, she sighed. "Why'd you have to wake me up? It's early,"

I shook my head. "I couldn't sleep. I was too busy thinking about Ignitus. Who is he? How do I know him? How does he know so much?"

"He was a good friend to you, Spyro. He is very smart. He can tell you things you may have never thought of. He is the Chronicler, the keeper of stories. He knows your story, and mine." she was silent.

I looked at the ground. I was unable to think of anything to say. Luckily, Terrador walked in and smiled. "Are you ready, young dragon?"

I nodded shyly.

We walked into a cave. There sat a large bluish dragon. He had a cloak on and some type of amulet-thing. I looked at him with my eyes wide. "You must be Ignitus," I dipped my head meekly.

Ignitus nodded and smiled. Before I could say anything, he said, "I already know of your memory loss, Spyro." I was shocked.

Ignitus looked at me, and I cringed. He seemed so... So powerful. I couldn't help but dip my head in a small bow. He shook his head. "No need to bow, young dragon. I should be the one bowing, actually." he dipped his head a bit. "But we must cut to the chase: Darkness is consuming our world, and you are the only one who can save us."

I swallowed. Was I up for the challenge?

"Young dragon, the task ahead of you is not going to be easy. But you must complete it. I fear the worst for us if you do not do something quickly." Ignitus actually looked a bit scared. How could someone so powerful ever look scared?

I nodded slowly. "I'll do everything I can."

Ignitus smiled. "I am glad to here it." he chuckled softly. "You were always so heroic."

I was not sure if this was a complement, so I just stayed silent. After what felt like forever, I left.

As I left the cave, I could just barely hear Ignitus whisper, Good luck, young dragon.
