Some flaws i noticed: Spyros wings in TEN and ANB are too small for him to fly. In mutious forge, where do the carts come from, after you ride that little cart thing and get chased by steam? They come from some tunnel, but when you go through that tunnel, the tracks end or something, and none come out anymore.Spyro never flaps his wings, in TEN and ANB.

Going by this logic, none of the adult dragons should be able to fly either because of the tears in their wings. smilie

Seriously, though, I've never been picky about the wings; they're magical creatures, so I can just use that as an excuse. smilie I think bigger wings would've looked kind of awkward on ANB/TEN Spyro.

smilie ya, but they should compare to birds, how big the wingspan is compared to body size.

Aren't dragons theoretically too heavy for flight to begin with? XD

Theoretically, airplanes are too... And while dragons don't get efficient jet engine, they could, with right motion of the wings (Not just up-down, but also side-to-side), they can create enought lift!

when they flap them side to side, like in ANB, wouldnt they fall down?

Think about this. In TLOS, Spyro can not only breathe fire, ice, electricity and earth, but aso blasts it from within him to knock out multiple enemies. On top of that he has the magic to warp space and time as well as the power to knock evil magic out of cynder. The thing you decide to focus on is his wingspan.

This is not the only place on the site that I've seen mention of the dragons' wingspans being too small for flight. Personally, of all the things a person could focus on that shouldn't be possible for them to do, I think it's funny that most people will choose their ability to fly.

Uh...ok? I just noticed it...dont need to get all...idk mad about it....anyways, some of the dragons HAVE HOLES in their wings, then it doesnt show it, like cynder, in the curscenes her wings r perfect...but they rlly have holes in them...

In fact, most flying insect create enought lift by flappin' their wings in elipsoid motion. Do they fall? No, their technique is also more percet than those of birds!

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across as angry. Reading back over it a realise it does look that way. I genuinely just find it funny that most people choose to focus on this aspect of the impossible things dragons do. I really didn't mean to offend anyone.

^ For what it's worth, I actually agree with your points completely. LoS dragons are already unrealistic in a myriad of ways - that's why it's fantasy, after all. Going by realistic standards, it should be impossible for them to speak English as well, as their jaws wouldn't allow for them to pronounce certain letters. Of course, even fantasy must obey some ground rules, and which ones apply depend on the given series. In LoS, it just so happens they can talk just fine and they don't need uber realistic wings to fly. smilie

And I can really relate to having your posts come off the wrong way. I often find that when I debate something or make a longer post, my tone ends up coming off as a bit annoyed or angry, even though I'm in a perfectly happy mood as I write it up. So don't feel bad about it - I, at least, understand where you're coming from, and so long as you explain the real feelings behind your post (which you did finely), there should be no harm done and no hard feelings smilie

That is correct, but dragons acually build up thier fire and the fire turns into a gas which helps them with lift.

(By the way, I know EVERYTHING about dragons. Ask me a question about them, and it will be a 98% chance right. The other 2 % is wrong. smilie)

Then... Why dragonesses of some species have... "Bust?" Why some dragons kidnap princesses?

Who care if they are too small or have holes in them? These problems are insignificant when compared to that fact that they are designed all wrong and would not be able to fly with them as they are (there needs to be skin connecting the wing to the body, and not just a joint).

Maybe I should re-evaluate if the members here should be told about the game that was released this year that this screenshot comes from.

You need to click the "view image" button after the page comes up. The file hosting site needs a chance to advertise after all.

But for those with an aversion to links, it is a game you get to play as a dragon.
