I was flying. Racing, really. The sleek-bodied, dark amythist dragoness behind me was laughing as blasting wind from her mouth, hoping to slow me down. On the contrary, I was winning this round. Flapping my red wings, I sped through the trees and skimmed a crystal lake. Drops of glimmering water on my purple scales, I kept flying.
The dragoness behind me cackled in a playful manner. "You won't win this, purple dragon!"
"Heh heh, ya wanna bet?" I called back. Turning around, I breath ice, freezing her left wing.
The dragoness hissed. Frantically beating her wings so they would not freeze over completely. Her teeth chattered as the ice ran through the rest of her body. I laughed aloud, deciding this was hilarious. I kept flying, and turning to look at the dragoness all the while.
"Spyro! Look out!" she called.
I thought she was kidding, or trying to throw me off. Turning back to look at her, I rolled my eyes. "That's cheating, Cynder." I laughed. I looked forward again, and didn't even have time to yell in suprise as I hit a large rock. My wing bent in a way I knew it shouldn't have, and my eyelids turned heavy.
"Spyro!" was the last thing I heard before my eyes closed and darkness consumed me.

"Wake up! Please be okay!" a strange voice murmured. I opened my eyes and looked into the emerald eyes of a strange creature. Tears where streaming down her scaley cheeks. She hugged me and pulled me up.
"Oh, you're okay!" she nuzzled me.
I jumped backwards. My eyes wide, I had no clue who - or what - this creature was. "Wh- Who are you?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Um... You're joking, right?"
I just starred at her. After blinking twice, the creature's eyes widened so wide I thought they would fall right out of her head. "No... Oh, please no!"
"You never answered my question." I mumbled. "Who are you?" I repeated.
"No," she shook her head in disbelief. "Spyro, you have amnesia!"
