They had quite a fair bit of females in the original Spyro universes. There was Elora, Sheila, Bianca, The Sorceress, Zoe, all the fairies, all the female characters you need to help out.... and I feel that I skipped a few.

The fauns (Fractured Hill), Greta (Scorch, Fireworks Factory), The queen of the Fish people (In one of the flights) the Hulu girls (Idol Springs), that one. . . smilie gah, well endowed mouse lady in YOTD, some of the dragon hatch-lings, that one polar bear ice skating girl - the list goes on.
