Yeah, ANB made it to platinum... (The reason why TEN and DOTD didn't, was because the PS3 was already out by then so they stopped making platinum for the PS2)

Speculation is fun, but we'll only know for sure once we see it. Looks like we'll just have to keep waiting. I'm sure many of you know my opinion of the franchise abd where it should go, so I won't repeat myself. I'm just not in the mood. Classic, LOS, or new, I just hope they make at least one vital change: MAKE IT FUN!

If they make a new Spyro Game, you'd know where I'd like it to go.

I would wish it to go back to the Original Series, with the Gameplay style of the original three games. I would make the Characters have alot more personality [coughcyndercough] and have actual Voicers. Another thing, I'd bring back classic collectibles, not Gems that give you power. I'd bring back the original Gems, Butterflies as health and the older characters.

Activision will probably just make a new Spyro game to keep the franchise going to make money, not for the fans. I mean, why else would they buy the popular franchise of Spyro?

I've played a few of Activision's recent games, like How to Train your dragon, and it felt a little empty, like they didn't put enough heart into the game.

Still, Activision doesn't put their heart into the games. They just make them and go on, like their doing with the Guitar Hero franchise and now DJ Hero.

One of the former moderators of the official Activision forum hinted that some of Activision's games take nearly 5 years to make. And the Spyro series, along with Crash, might turn into a soap series.

Eh, they're meant to portray real life, but they always go overboard and mostly portray life as if nothing goes right, no one is ever happy, etc..... Or maybe I'm thinking of Eastenders again.

They're named because back in ye olden days of radio, they used to be a romanticised acting out of real life aimed generally at the housewives, so companies would use them to advertise cleaning products, such as soap, by sponsoring them. Actual soap has nothing to do with the series.

they will make a new game tlos series is like a template for them to create new spyrogames around the idea whether its continuing the series or using charecters in a remake of the old games

I honestly don't see how they can do anymore TLOS games.... honestly, what can be more evil than Malefor? I just can't what they can do next to that series.

I get it now. So there games that are more similar to real life? Heh, if that's the case, then I doubt we will see Bentley and Spyro again (because yetis and dragons don't excise in real life. Well to me they don't), Agent 9 wouldn't have his gun, Sheila would live up in the mountains, and Sgt. Byrd wouldn't be able to fly. xD

I still think ETD deserves a remake. If Pokemon Gold/Silver gets a remake, I don't see why ETD can't have one. It would have been great if Universal didn't rush the developers... People say that ETD was the game that killed Spyro, but to me, AHT killed Spyro...

Some of you keep forgetting that they planned the LoS trilogy, and that they probably have a lot of plans for ideas after DotD. Just because the trilogy is over, doesn't mean it's going to stop there. The LoS acted like a series starting point, like the original trilogy, the next game will probably continue in that same universe. Unless, it depends on the publisher, like Activision.

The ideas I've had so far are:
A) Go back to TEN and detail Cynder's experiences.
smilie Bring Back Malefor
C) Introduce another who is trying to take Malefor's throne now that he's gone (this could be used to introduce an old villain)
D) Create a story that is more heavily into the topic of the politics in the LOS universe, and detail how the world is rebuilt in terms of governments and such. (This one sounds REALLY dull, but it popped into my head so I thought I'd share it.)

I doubt they'll listen; I bet they get fan mail all the time, probalby too much for them to look at it all. Or maybe they just spit out a comp. generated message and mail it back, while your letter gets pitched.

I agree with Zackeio. They didn't need to do the reboot. Sure, Spyro was going down hill, but that could have been fixed if they took a step back in time with the series and remade ETD, then continue from there again, as if events from AHT and SL and all the other GBA games never happened. That would have been enough of a reboot, and a good one too, and they could have another chance on making Spyro original again. I don't see what's so hard about putting a bunch of portals in the games.

ETD might have been all glitchy and bad, plus the loading is just horrible, but it's still original Spyro, because you're going to different worlds, you collect gems, and you're collecting something (dragonflies in this game), plus you can toast sheep. It still had the original atmosphere, and it could have been great if done properly. All they need to do is remake it, and now is a perfect chance, and they shouldn't blow it.

To make it original, they just need portals, the same characters, toasting sheep, home worlds, collecting gems and something else, and that's about it...

If they continue the Originals, it could still work. They don't have to act like TLOS never happened. They could just make it that TLOS was Original Spyro's pass. They did say that TLOS was going to come before STD, so maybe it meant that TLOS was Spyro's PAST (that's before STD, so they're still right), and not the same Spyro going on an adventure before Gnasty came in. It could also explain how Spyro and Sparx got his name. And Sheila said that dragons lived in The Forgotten Worlds a long time ago.... so Legend Spyro could have lived in the Forgotten world years ago, when dragons lived there, and before portals excised. And all the places in TLOS could easily match the the levels in YOTD, just remade with knew technology. A lot could have happened to those places in about 200 years or more, before the Sorceress invaded, and the flying scorers never excised in that time.

Floating Islands = Cloud Spires.
Burned Lands, or that lava level in ANB = Molten Crater
The dam = Evening Lake definitely.
Valley of Avalar = Avalar: Summer Forest. Okay, Avalar is far away from The Forgotten Worlds, but Spyro could have traveled to Avalar at some point in TLOS series. He's traveled a long way after all.
Dragon City = Dragon Realms or Artisans World.

And a lot more.

Someone should try to e-mail the writers again and talk about this knew direction. Months has past since they mentioned it, and they should know a little more by now.

They could TOTALLY do that! I'm a little iffy on the LOS Spyro is Classic Spyro's father idea some have had, but the thought of naming a new purple dragon and the golden dragonfly who was born on the same day after the two heros of old? BRILLIANT! And yeah, LOS universe could definitelty be the Forgotten Worlds! Well done, great idea!


I just thought of something. Because Malefor was sealed away in DOTD, he could break out of his prison again in the next original Spyro game. :D

I don't see how in the TLoS universe, you can ever have a new villain unless Malefor was misunderstood, or under control from an evil entity...

As much as I am reluctant to say, I can see that actually happening. We don't know why Malefor is, what he is. When we heard of him throughout the entire course of the trilogy something, or someone had to of told him about why purple dragons are capable of, and how he concluded that purple dragons are destined to destroy and rebuild the world.

Meh, that's not good enough for me smilie . It wouldn't make much sense to see Gnasty Gnorc, Ripto, Sorceress, or even Red be in the Los universe as a villain. I believe I said this before, but AHT and ETD pretty much proved that just because you have a familiar face in a new Spyro game doesn't make it good, or add to its value.

I think I'm the only person who want's to kick Ripto's butt again. xD

Or, of not Ripto, a knew female dragon villain, pretty much like Cynder (in the next original Spyro game, if it does come back). But NO "oh she's not evil she's just corrupted" and all. A dragon like that would kick ass in a original Spyro game.
