Why is Spyro purple, why isnt he...I dunno....a rainbow dragon or something...does any of you have ideas?

well you don't see many Purple dragons.....so they are rare......IDK

honestly......why does the Rainbow sebolize (spelling) Gayness......the rainbow is all colors together........a refraction of light......the purity of water......i don't find that in ANY way Gay.......i think a rainbow dragon would be awsome

Well in the first 3 games Spyro was made purple because that colour stands out and he does not blend in with the grass and stuff.

and in TLoS since Spyro was already purple they just thought of this story with a prophecy that purple dragons are rare and can wield all 4 elements and stuff(kinda like Avatar:the last airbender hmm?),made the game,and slapped Spyro's name onto it.

In fact, now that I think about it, it's kind of stupid. Spyro was purple in the originals, and there was nothing special about him. So now Activison is telling us that you need to be a part of a rare, powerful seris to be a hero of any kind. Thanks for the AWESOME moral Activison...

But some of the the rescued dragons from the first Spyro game knew that he was different, and kept saying that he will fulfill his destiny or that the dragons thought he wasn't ready to save the Dragon Realms from Gnasty Gnorc.

Exactly,it had nothing to do with him being purple,he was purple just because that colour didn't blend in with the surroundings(as I mentioned in the other post) in the game,unlike green(his original colour) .

The makers proboly thought the game would be more epic if they made Spyro be this special dragon and have cool powers that no other dragons have.

Purple dragons are only special becuase that's Spyro's orginal color,if he had been green in the original games then green dragons would be special in the Legend series.
