I just hate the devs rushed a beta product and expected you to pay full price...

The concept was rather nice.

But the storyline wasn't. And the cutscenes were actually lamer than the gameplay...

I suppose one must at least give the devs the fact that they tried to stick to the old game style.

It was ok i suppose. Its just bad compared to other Spyro games.

They rushed the game development, which is why ETD was so glitchy and such.

It would have had potential if it wasn't so glitchy, the graphics weren't that bad for the time of it's release and the game itself was quite challenging (minus the glitches)... If it wasn't rushed then it could have been a successful game and maybe it wouldn't have been Check 6's first and last game...

If they didn't rush so much perhaps it would have truely been a Spyro game for the ages and they would have been permitted to keep making Spyro games and thus LOS may never have begun. But that IS just speculation on my part.

I'm curious to know how this game was rushed. The average video-game usually gets 12 months of production time, were these developers given 6 months or even less to make the game?

They were given enough time, they just didn't get it done and when there was about a month left until its release date they were like "Oh crap! We need to get this done!". They cut out 5 levels, 2 boss fights and were originally going to have 150 Dragonfly's...

A less glitchy version is the GC version...
