When I'm fighting Ripto, I notice that he is actually taller than Spyro. Ripto is supposed to be short, but he looks like the size of Moneybags. And in Year of the Dragon, in the prolouge, Ripto looks as tall as Gnasty! What's up with that?

He is short if you compare him to his companions(Crush and Gulp). But I agree, he isn't very short compared to other characters in the game. I've noticed it earlier, but not put much thought into it.
It was when I used double jump to get to where Ripto is in Gulp's Overlook that I could see just how much taller he is than Spyro O.o

if a fairy can lift him uhes not very strong.

Heh-heh... But actually when you go up to him in Gulp's Overlook he's alot bigger than he is when you fight him! The same goes for Crush's Dungeon.

I find it sort of ironic that the smartest enemy is pint-sized while his hench-men are huge.

I mean the height is fine, but being as tall as Gnasty Gnorc is way too far.

I don't know... Oh, and the answer as to why Hunter crashes into the lava is because a chunk of Metal Gulp collides with him, sending him smacking against the wall and falling into the lava. That's another question!! How does HUNTER survive the lava too?!?

Games leave so many unanswered questions...

Yep, you've got that right! So obviously the lava wasn't as 'deadly' as everyone thought it was if both Ripto and Hunter survived it...

Well, the lava that the Sorceress fell into the second time was purple... I don't see how that would matter, but...

The lava that sorceress fell the 2nd time was purpe lava from the eaths core so it was deadlier! a least thats what i think!

I noticed Ripto's size as well. He seems to be larger than Spyro in all the games. Even in the GBA games, he's slightly bigger.

I loved the hypocritical humour of Spyro calling Ripto 'shorty'. I guess he's just small for a Riptoc, because he can get much bigger when goaded with the right backfire spell.

Ripto is a rare once in ten Generations Red Lizard. He is special because he is red and has a nice cloak, so he can chaneg his size.

JK, but thats how the "Purple Dragon is Special" Theory sounds to me.
Interesting though...

No, he was small that way since before he came to Avalar and got the scepter, Doctorwho. The scepter didn't make him that way.

Just like Bowser, he does survive from anything such as falling from his throne in Gulp's Overlook to falling into the lava. But still, he, Hunter and Bowser can survive even worse things. I wonder how Hunter can survive lava? Does this mean Spyro can as well?!? :-O
