No, InsOmniac didn't make the petition, people from Dragon-Nex and Old Spyro club did, it even says so at the bottom of the petition page.

IamSpyro, I seriosly doubt that Insomniac will buy back Spyro at this point.Show us proof and we will believe you.

I want to believe you IamSpyro, I wish it to be true, but the fact it you must have proof. As I said before, links or it never happened. If you don't have it right now, that's fine but you have go find it and soon or no one, including me, will believe you.

Besides, Insomniac recently said they can't take back Spyro.

About Spyro going back to Insomiac in general: I would like it but it's unlikely. It would be better to hope the new developers try to make it more like the oldies, if not revert back entirely. I personally don't think a different producer making an old style game would be so bad; look at ETD. Yeah, it';s short and glitchy, but they did really well in terms of maintaining what Spyro always was and should be. With more time and TLC, that could have been a Spyro game to be loved.

He won't show it to us anyways, he either doesn't have it or he's lying.

i don't think they are it's just i believe they will.... "let's see, spyro is getting old, let's make one more game, but in this game, he dies.." i believe they will make a game like that without even thinking about giving it back

That's... highly speculative. You have NO idea what they're planning. Spyro might not be a HUGE seller, but he can make good money. It wouldn't be prudent to kill him.

what do u mean no support??? eventually spyro will get old and activision will kill spyro then kids and adults will tear down the activision studios and we won't have that many games and kids will go on a killing spree cuz of boredness and then we all die

Chris Wilson is working with the Crash franchise now, and Mike Graham is working on the Spyro series.

Maybe, but I doubt they'll kill him in the next game. Who knows, they may manage to keep him fresh for many years to come, or possibly replace him sometime down the road. How can we ever know? Wait and see. As for the other stuff about the killing spree and such, I won't adress it becasue it is obviously just a silly joke.

@Aura: Alright. Hmm.... On the one hand eliminatingthe guy who's been with Spyro for longer might not have been wise, but then again 2004 was when AHT was released. As good as it was, AHT was almost a precursor to LOS. At any rate it was the prequel to SL, which is much like LOS. So who knows what will happen after the guy who possibly drove Spyro into the all-changing reboot is gone?

maybe.. i mean activision controls most games, spiderman, spyro... and stuff

Then who knows what might happen to Spyro. He will either lie in the hands of a producer of Activision or be sold to another game company.

Exactly, who knows? Argh! The waiting is KILLING me! I really hope we get some kind of info before summer break ends, or at least by the end of fall.

Don't we usually get info long before a game's release? Chanses are we won't get a game this year . Unless of course they plan to just release it with no announcement oher than a TV ad. Then again wouldn't that make the game sell less than it would if they maximised the news about it?

The only kind of game system that doesn't release any information beforehand the game's release is the iPhone.

Yeah, but who can say what they'll do? Maybe all we'll get is an anouncement/interview in a magazine a moth before the ads start and that's that.

Bring back old Spyro - the series was so more magical. And I miss all the characters [Old Spyro + Saprx, Red, Gnorc, Rhynocs, Moneybags...]

yES. i LIKE tLoS but i prefer the originals becausee they are so magical. the new ones are too fantasy based and realistic.

Yeah, the odies were jsut so fantastic and uplifting. So much like a child's fantasy land, but it still had and ageless quality to it.
