yeah im only slamming activision because its been two years and nothing has been said and from what the guy from activision has said it looks like they are just messing around and playing around with a few things. Turst me if they would say "yes we are making a new spyro game and it looks promising but we cant reveal anything at this moment, but you guys will soon find out." if they said something like that then I would not worry at all. but seriously 2 years and we have to find inof if weather or not their making another spyro game? come on.

I looked at that list and I'm mad. Tons of games that I want to get are on consoles that I don't have!!

You've called someone a fool before Aura, and it's practically the same thing. Also there are plaenty of people who call others stupid and the like and I rarely see tthem get called on it. I'm not saying that justifies anything but it is hypocritical of you to get up in arms about it. Anyway, can we NOT fight about this? Just drop it and move on everyone, okay?

Anywho, Activision is still keeping Spyro under a low profile, until they feel like showing the game to us. They should've at least announced they have something in store for Spyro instead of saying nothing.

Maybe they just wanted to surprise us...? ._.

A teaser trailer of some sort would be nice.

They didn't hesitate when they revealed they're making another Guitar Hero game in 2011.

Their milking this guitar hero so much its not funny. Well I doubt that are really getting serious with spyro, like the guy said from activision they are messing around with some stuff, now I hope if this is a low budget game heaven forbids its not but most likely it is. But I hope they wont hire elijah wood back in the sense of breaking the budget of hiring big movie stars to do the voices to be honest nothing against elijah wood but hey if it means cutting into the game budget for great voicing heck give someone else a break who wants to make it into the voicing industry.

In my opinion, I have a feeling that there won't be a Spyro game this year, or next year, but maybe in 2012, we will get a Spyro game to play, if there isn't a new Spyro game between now and 2012, I doubt there will ever be one, and Activision are making too many Guitar Hero games now, I only liked two of the Guitar Hero games anyway, and they were on the PS2. (Guitar Hero 2, and Guitar Hero-Rocks the 80's)

I was just on the Activision site and can you believe they still haven't changed the release date for DotD from Fall2008 to avaliable now?

They're too busy with their other popular games to even fix it.

I dont even know why I read an article saying that activision bought crash,spyro, ice age, and im not sure what other title because they said these games still had potential. Well activision if they got so much potential why are you guys just playing around with some few things.

They're too distracted by CoD and Guitar Hero to give it much thought.

To me, COD and Guitar Hero are overrated.

MW2 is the most overrated game I've ever played. I don't understand why so many people play it.

As much as it sucks I guess we all have to wait some more.

What about Crash Bandicoot? Do you think Activision is doing anything with that?

What I would do if I were activision:

1) Release the original Spyro games for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
2) REMAKE the original games with NEW graphics. Nothing else new. Just revamped graphics and cutscenes. Same music, characters, worlds, etc.
3) Create a NEW Spyro game that DOESN'T try to go all "RPG" or "We're all gonna die unless there's a hero to save us" on us like TLoS. Make a new one with stunning graphics in the spirit of the old games. Don't try to add too much more that's new aside from new worlds and characters. Don't make the bad guys so epic-FAIL, and don't try to incorporate a love story. Give us the old fire, charge, jump, hover, and glide moves. We don't much care for the new stuff, or else the newest games would have taken off. For crying out loud, Stewart Copeland MADE THE GAME (IMO, anyway) with the music he created for it. It wouldn't have been the same if they had used different music. Use him instead of someone else. If nothing else, do it in the spirit of the old games. And for crying out loud - make the storyline good, not epic... fail.

Maybe I'm wrong. But that's what I'd like to see. Activision is just plain crazy if they try to do something else like TLoS.

I LOVE those Ideas Superspyrodude! Especially the third one. I think a classic Style game could be really good with melee as long as they don't have massive amounts of enemies that take forever to kill, and some other breath ablilities and power ups, vehicles and playable characters. I guess the vehicles could be usable by a character other than Spyro only, to satisfy those who like Spyro being more like they think a dragon should be. I for one would be fine with Spyro using a tank or whatever, but some might be like "OMG WTF a Dragon wud NEVAR use a tank! DIS IS STOOPID!!11!"

Of course, because the old Spyro used a tank or an airplane in order to defeat certain enemies, instead of what a dragon would really do, like blow fireballs that cause explosions instead.

I kinda find 'a dragon using a tank to defeat a boss or a mini-game' a little kiddish now, no offense.

Fine, that's your opinon. Still, dragons are fiction so no one could say for certain what they would really do. Since dragons aren't reall it's all up to the person inventing/reinventing the character to say what they would look like/do. One might say that they would fight mostly from the air, another might say thay would be small and need a weapon for some things.

If Activision is going to make an Old Spyro game, then they should try to have the same features Insomniac did for the old trilogy in that game.

I remember back in the day when your dash wouldn't be broken when you jump or get off a ledge.

In Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly I thought it was pretty cool that Spyro, a dragon could fly airplanes and control tanks, but now sometimes when I play it, I just think that Hunter should be doing that kind of thing.

I'll have to be honest spyro flying planes and whatnot was cool back then when I was 12 but now DOTD and how the melee combat system was introduced was cool. But yeah the enemies that dont take forever to kill would be nice, but how about when use your earth ability you can use objects around you to help you defeat your enemies like earth for example, use earth to pick up a boulder and toss it against enemies, use the trees around you to shoot out vines and capture your enemies in thier vines and then you can use melee attacks or leave them there to die. another example use the lava around you in the burned lands to splash onto enemies and defeat them that way with your fire ability. just a thought.

I was referring to tanks and planes with guns and also lazer shooting saucers when I said weapons.

Can't Activision make a Spyro game where there is lots of free-roam and not levels anymore?

Who knows what they'll do with the next Spyro game.

Like no linear gameplay. Go from here to there and then that one place in order. I believe he is basicaly asking for a Sandbox type Spyro game.

Freeroam with no levels is pretty much a sandbox game, example is Fallout 3.

I would prefer the next game to be like Spyro 2, if it's going to be an Old Spyro game.

Yeah a Sandbox game. I kinda like the idea myself actually but it would need a good story to tie it all together I think.
