This is great. I realy enjoy reading it. I wonder if the story will go the way The Lion King 2's did.

Chapter 22,

Dragsooth and Ember followed the dragoness into the temple. they all went up to the elders.

dragoness: "elders this pink dragoness was wearing my daughters necklace, i think she may have stolen it."

elder Malak: "has your daughter finally been found?"

the dragoness broke into tears "... no... and i fear the worst..."

elder Malak looked at Ember "we're going to ask you some questions but you must answer truthfully."

Ember nods.

dragoness: "that'll be hard for her to do since she's a liar!"

elder Hargen: "ma'am please, it is Ember's turn to speak." he looks at Ember "go ahead tell us the story of how you found the necklace."

Ember: "alright well i was inside a cave with my father, my mother had gone out to hunt. she came back to the cave dragging a dead deer behind her and there was a golden necklace around her neck. when i asked her where she got the necklace she said she found it on the forest floor near a large lake. i liked the necklace so i asked if i could have it and she gave it to me."

elder Hydrax: "Ember do you swear by the gods that you speak the truth?"

Ember nods once "yes sir i do."

the elders look at the dragoness.

elder Penagar: "there must have been some misunderstanding here."

elder Malak: "didn't your daughter go to the lake before she disappeared?"

the dragoness nods "but she would have noticed her necklace had fallen off. she would have put it back on... unless something happen to her..."

elder Hargen: "now now let's not jump to conclusions here."

dragoness: "but the lake is so close to our village and Jade knew the way back... those evil worshiping dark dragons must have taken her!"

elder Penagar: "we have no way of knowing for sure."

Dragsooth: "maybe she just got lost. she was only eight."

dragoness: "she went to that lake many times by herself something must have happen."

elder Malak looks at Ember "did your mother mention anything more about what she found at the lake?"

Ember: "no... all she told me about was the necklace."

elder Malak looks at the dragoness "we promise you we will find out what happen to your daughter."

dragoness: "she's been gone for days. i have no doubt that those evil dragons got her." tears ran down her cheeks.

Ember: "don't cry ma'am, she's with the gods now..."

she looked at Ember "thank you for the positive thinking young one and i'm sorry that i accused you." she hesitated for a moment then she put the necklace around Ember's neck.

Ember looked at the necklace and then at the dragoness confused.

dragoness: "keep it as a token of apology."

Ember: "... thank you... and i'm sorry about your daughter..."

dragoness: "... it's alright... she's with the gods now like you said." she managed to smile weakly and she left the temple.

elder Malak: "now that we've resolved that let's go to the training area."

the elders walked out of the temple. Dragsooth and Ember followed.

Chapter 23,

the elders took Dragsooth and Ember to the training area behind the temple.

Dragsooth: "Ember i think they want me to train first, so you stay here and watch and then it can be your turn."

Ember: "alright." she sat down on the grass "good luck."

Dragsooth: "thanks..." he went onto the training area.

the elders were standing around the perimeter of the training area.

elder Malak: "alright Dragsooth it's time to test your ability to fight without using your elements."

Dragsooth: "awww another test?"

elder Malak: "pay attention now. we'll start off with small dummies."

a group of about ten dummies appeared around Dragsooth and they ran at him. Dragsooth swung his tail at one and cut it with the sharp blade on his tail. he jumped up in the air and took flight, he grabbed a dummy by the neck and threw it at three others. he dove down at two of them and gored them with his horns. five dummies came charging at him, he flew straight up into the air, he dove down at them and charged into all of them with his horns. he landed in the middle of the training area. all the dummies were dead. the dummies bodies then disappeared.

elder Malak: "that was good. now let's try medium dummies."

Dragsooth: "medium? can i take on a few large ones instead?"

elder Malak: "large ones? are you sure?"

Dragsooth nodded "yes."

five large dummies appeared and ran towards Dragsooth, he flew up into the air, but one of the dummies grabbed him by the tail which kept him from flying any higher, two more dummies grabbed both of his back legs and started to pull him down. Dragsooth flapped his wings to try to fly back up. the other two dummies grabbed his front legs and all the dummies pinned him to the ground. Dragsooth struggled but he could barely move.

elder Malak: "alright, that's enough."

the dummies disappeared. Dragsooth slowly got up.

elder Malak: "now don't get too prideful of your own abilities."

Dragsooth: "i see that now."

elder Hargen: "let's test his ability to use all his elements against a group of large dummies."

about ten large dummies appeared around Dragsooth and they surrounded him. he transformed into an earth boulder with huge spikes on it and charged through them. three of them were killed. Dragsooth transformed back to normal and got into a battle position, he crouched down and spread out his wings. the dummies ran at him, Dragsooth shot out many ice spike at them. four of them were hit. the last three were still alive and running towards him. he breathed out a bolt of electricity at them, two of them were hit and killed. the one remaining dummy jumped up into the air towards Dragsooth. Dragsooth jumped towards the dummy and hit it with a comet dash in mid air. Dragsooth lands back on the floor.

elder Malak: "very impressive finish."

Dragsooth: "thank you."

Ember: "may i try next?"

elder Malak: "yes. go on."

Ember walked onto the training area. she saw Dragsooth walk off of it and sit on the grass watching her.

Dragsooth: "good luck Ember."

Ember: "thank you." she smiled at him.

Chapter 24,

Ember walked to the center of the arena. she looked at the elders "feel free to give me large dummies to fight and make the dummies attack too."

elder Malak: "are you sure?"

Ember: "yes... put them all in front of me."

elder Malak: "how many do you want?"

Ember: "ten of them."

ten large dummies appeared right in front of Ember, she spread out her wings in a threatening manner. the dummies all ran at her, she opened her mouth and breathed out convexity that was pink in color. the convexity hit all the dummies and killed all of them. Ember looked at what had happen. the elders all looked shocked.

Dragsooth stood up "Ember how did you do that?"

Ember: "i... i don't know... i don't even know what it was..."

elder Hydrax: "i know what it was... it was convexity... the second darkest element..."

elder Hargen: "are you sure it was convexity?"

elder Hydrax: "yes... if it were darkness the darkest element it would have been a black beam. but Ember's beam was pink in color..."

elder Penagar: "but how could she have gotten convexity?"

elder Hydrax: "she could have been born with it... or she could have been given that element from the dark dragons that killed her parents."

elder Malak: "Ember did those dark dragons even lay a paw on you?"

Ember shook her head "no... i ran away so they didn't even touch me."

elder Hydrax: "so she was born with it... Ember what elements did your parents posses?"

Ember: "they were both fire dragons."

elder Hydrax: "that means that there may have been someone in her family that was a dark dragon..."

elder Penagar: "or she could have been granted this element from Mondrenic."

elder Hargen: "but why would Mondrenic grant Ember this element?"

elder Hydrax: "i don't know... wait... Ember do you by any chance worship Mondrenic?"

Ember: "no... of course not... my parents taught me to worship the four dragon gods."

elder Hydrax: "then why would Mondrenic grant you the element of convexity?"

elder Penagar: "maybe he's trying to posses her..."

elder Malak: "but if that's the case then shouldn't we be able to get the convexity out of her?"

Ember: "why get it out of me?... it's very powerful, it could be useful."

elder Malak: "it's a dark element given to you by Mondrenic himself... it could corrupt your soul."

Ember: "what will happen if it corrupts me?"

elder Malak: "you could become evil."

Ember: "how are you going to get it out?"

elder Malak: "there is a crystal made out of pure light energy that can cleanse darkness from your soul... but we don't have it."

Ember: "where can we find it?"

elder Malak: "there is a large cave deep in the forest that's filled with different types of crystals. in that cave we'll find the crystal. but it's almost nightfall and i don't want to send any dragons out in the forest at night... we'll have to wait until morning."

Ember: "alright i think i can wait until morning."

Dragsooth: "come on Ember let's go back to the hut." he walked towards the hut. Ember followed.

Chapter 25,

Ices, Dragsooth and Ember were asleep inside the hut. it was late at night now. Ember was having a dream.

(dream)

Ember was standing in Vensis' fortress. Vensis was standing in front of her.

Vensis: "you've done such a good job tricking those fools. but now it's time to fulfill your destiny. bring Dragsooth toward the village tonight."

Ember: "how will i get him out of the hut?"

Vensis: "make something up... i must go now."

Ember: "wait Mistress... what is this new breath i have?"

Vensis: "it's a blessing from Mondrenic... use it well."

(end dream)

Ember woke up, she looked around the hut and saw Dragsooth, she got up and walked over to him. she nudged him with her snout. Dragsooth woke up.

Dragsooth: "...huh?... what?... oh Ember what is it?"

Ember: "Dragsooth i think the darkness is beginning to corrupt me just like the elders said." she whispered to him.

Dragsooth picked up his head "what?... we need to get you to the elders then." he stood up.

Ember: "there's no time... we need to go right to the cave where the elders said the crystal was."

Dragsooth: "but we don't know where that cave is."

Ember: "i know... me and my parents stayed there for a few days... now come on we have to go i can feel the evil darkness effecting me already."

Dragsooth: "alright, let's go."

they walked out of the hut and went out of the village. Ember lead the way towards the woods and Dragsooth followed.

Chapter 26,

Ember lead Dragsooth far away from the village. they were walking through the woods and unknown to Dragsooth they were walking towards the dark dragon village. Ember stopped walking.

Dragsooth: "what is it?... are we lost?"

Ember: "no... hang on let me get a better look at our surroundings." she flew up into the air and saw the dark dragon village in the distance. she flew back down at landed beside Dragsooth "listen we have to go back to the village..." she turned around and started to walk in the direction they came from.

Dragsooth looked at her "what's the matter?"

Ember: "... nothing... it's too dangerous to be wandering out here at night so let's just go back to the village..."

Dragsooth: "...but... what about the darkness that's corrupting you?"

Ember: "... it wasn't as strong as i thought it was... now come on we have to get out of here."

Dragsooth walked up to her and looked at her "why do you sound so scared?... is there something wrong?"

Ember nodded quickly "yes... we have to go!" she continued walking back the way they came.

Dragsooth followed after her. Ember quickly stopped when she heard rustling in some bushes. Dragsooth stopped too. suddenly Vensis came out of the bushes, she was wearing armor. then dark dragons started to come out of the woods and surrounded Ember and Dragsooth. all the dragons were wearing armor.

Vensis snickered "well done Ember... it's just like we've planned."

Dragsooth looked at Ember "what is she talking about?... you helped her, didn't you?"

Ember had her head and wings lowered sadly ".... yes... but i was trying to save you in the end..."

Vensis: "oh enough acting Ember!... he already knows the truth."

Dragsooth: "you... you lied to me... you lied to everyone..."

Ember slowly nods.

Vensis: "enough talk!... dragons seize him!"

the dragons flew into the air and dove onto Dragsooth.

Ember: "NO!"

suddenly a blast of electricity knocked all the dragons on top of Dragsooth away. Dragsooth stood there, his body had electricity coming off of it for a few seconds. Dragsooth started to fly away. the dragons flew after him. a few of them got above Dragsooth and tried to dive on him. Dragsooth was barely able to dodge them. he was shot by a few strong blasts of fear and he plummeted to the ground. he was knocked unconscious.

Good chapter but I found Ember's strange turn of heart odd. She shows no emotion favoring Dragsooth but wants to suddenly save him?
Or maybe she is still acting..realy realy good actor.

or maybe Ember just kept her emotions bottled up inside?

But she knew Dragsooth for what a day? It seems wierd she would betray her entire village for people she knew only for a day. Either way it is your story and I still think it is great.

Chapter 27,

Dragsooth woke up to find himself in a cell, he was chained to a metal table. big dark dragons were starring down at him. there were 4 dragons, a red fear dragon, a green poison dragon, a dark gray shadow dragon and a black dragon with the element of darkness. the poison dragon held a crystal above Dragsooth. the crystal was black and dark energy was coming form it.

poison dragon: "now just stay still... this will only hurt a lot!"

he pressed the dark crystal against Dragsooth's chest. more dark energy came from the crystal and went all over Dragsooth's body. Dragsooth screamed as if he was in pain. the 4 dragons laughed evilly. Dragsooth felt as if all the power in his body was leaving him. the poison dragon took the crystal off of Dragsooth. the dragon walked out of the cell and then he came back in the cell without the crystal. he locked the cell door behind him.

poison dragon: "now let's have some fun with our prisoner... unchain him."

the chains were taken off Dragsooth, the black dragon knocks Dragsooth off the table with his wing. Dragsooth lays on the stony floor, he stands up slowly and weakly bares his teeth as a threat.

fear dragon: "oh look he's threatening us... how cute." he roars at Dragsooth.

Dragsooth backs away and cowers on the floor with his wings covering him, he was trembling in fear. the shadow dragon picked Dragsooth up by the tail and flung him into a wall. Dragsooth fell to the floor.

poison dragon: "now remember we don't want to kill him... yet."

he picked his paw up and his claws were oozing poison. he hit Dragsooth several times, clawing at him, wounding him. the poison went into Dragsooth's wounds. Dragsooth screamed in pain, the poison was burning him.

the darkness dragon spoke "oh yeah sure, poisoning his wounds isn't going to kill him..." he said to the poison dragon sarcastically.

poison dragon: "the poison will kill him within a few hours... that is if he has a few hours to live..."

suddenly a dragon guard opened the cell "the Mistress wants the prisoner chained to the altar now..."

a chain was put around Dragsooth's neck and he was dragged out of the cell. he didn't have enough energy to stand so he was just letting himself be dragged. Dragsooth began to say a prayer to the gods in Draconic.

he heard a dark dragon yelling at him "hey! shut up! they won't save you!"

Dragsooth was being dragged up a hill. there was a smooth path made out of stone that lead to the top of the hill. dark dragons were all standing at the top of the hill. Dragsooth was dragged all the way up the hill and chained on top of the large stone altar. Vensis stood near the altar holding a blood stained dagger. she looked at the statue of Mondrenic.

Vensis: "kwi Mondrenic si offer wux nomeno sililos darastrix, wer tiichia ir di douta cursed isthasyi lae vi sacrafise. drong tepoha wux itheika ihk jacida iejir ekess qe spilled acht douta lenggin. douta itheik ui svern sia ithquent. nomag wux lleisgar tenamalo vur tiichi udoka douta faitful servents vur nomag wux chikohk douta irlymi... douta geou qe authot ekess wer seoyl di nomeno darastrix..." she raised the dagger above Dragsooth's chest.

I would laugh if she trys to save Dragosooth at the last second by doing some epic jump in slow motion but instead while she is jumping Dragsooth gets shanked. Kinda like the story of Joan of Arc.

Chapter 28,

Vensis was about to stab Dragsooth when she was hit by a large blast of pink convexity, Vensis was knocked to the ground. Ember flew above the altar and hovered above it. Vensis slowly got up and looked up at Ember.

Vensis: "Ember!... WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"

Ember: "i can't let you kill him!"

Vensis: "and why is that!?"

Ember: "i didn't say anything about it before because i thought they were the evil ones... but while i lived among them i saw that they had no evil intentions, they were always willing to help others and they didn't kill anyone for breaking the law... i could have been killed when i was accused of stealing that necklace or when i got that convexity breath... but i wasn't..."

Vensis: "so!?... that just shows that they are weak!... and you side with our enemies now!?... how dare you betray us?... how dare you betray Mondrenic!?" she looked at Ember with teeth bared and anger in her stare.

Ember: "i saw that our so called enemies are more peaceful then you described them to be... they just want to live out their lives in peace..."

Vensis: "by exterminating us!!... did you forget what their prophecy said!?"

Ember: "it only said that the purple dragon will end the war... it never said that the purple dragon will kill all the dark dragons!"

Vensis: "but that horrid little creature had the power to kill us all and i'm just protecting our village!... now move out of the way so that i may finish what i started!"

Ember: "i'm not moving!!"

Vensis: "GUARDS GET HER!"

dragons wearing armor suddenly jumped at Ember. Ember closed her eyes and a blast of convexity came out of her body and knocked all the dragons away. Ember breathed a small amount of convexity onto the chains that were holding Dragsooth on the altar. Ember swooped down and grabbed Dragsooth and started to fly away with him.

Vensis: "GET HER! ALL OF YOU GO!!!"

most of the dragons flew after Ember. half of them got in front of her. she hovered in the air while still carrying Dragsooth. she was surrounded by dragons. the dragons all flew at her. Ember then let out huge waves of convexity from her body, all the dragons were hit and they all fell to the ground. Ember then flew away with Dragsooth. surprisingly Dragsooth wasn't hurt by the convexity, but there was something wrong with him. there was poison in his wounds and it was poisoning him. Ember landed in the middle of the forest and put Dragsooth down gently. Dragsooth had his eyes open and he was still breathing but his breaths were labored. Ember took out the red crystal in her necklace and put it on Dragsooth's body. the crystal went into his body but it barely did anything.

Dragsooth: "... Ember... get me to the village.... quickly..." his voice was really weak.

Ember flew up and picked Dragsooth up with her front paws. she flew as quickly as she could towards Dragsooth's village... the poison that Dragsooth still had in his wounds spread rapidly throughout his body, he then fell unconscious and stopped breathing...

Chapter 29,

Dragsooth woke up, he was laying in the middle of a grass filled field. he picked up his head and looked up at the sky, there were big white clouds giving off lots of lightning. he looked to his right in the distance there were snow capped mountains and he looked to his left and in the distance he saw many volcanoes. Dragsooth stood up "where am i?" suddenly a white dragoness appeared in front of Dragsooth. she had on a white cloak and a necklace with a large white crystal on it, her crystal seemed to glow. Dragsooth looked up at her "who-... who are you?"

dragoness: "my name is Amelinda young dragon."

Dragsooth: "where am i?"

Amelinda: "you are in the realm of the gods."

Dragsooth: "the realm of the gods?... wait, i'm dead?"

Amelinda nods.

Dragsooth: "i-... i can't be dead!"

Amelinda: "oh but you are."

Dragsooth: "there has to be some sort of mistake..."

Amelinda: "oh but there's no mistake... when the gods let someone die it is because it was their time to go."

Dragsooth: "but-... but what about the prophecy!?"

Amelinda: "the prophecy will be fulfilled in due time... have no worry the gods will see to it... now come follow me, i must take you to them." she walked away.

Dragsooth followed her, he couldn't believe he was dead. he wondered if Ember had made it to the village with his lifeless body, he wondered weather they were trying to revive him or weather they had given up. he wondered how his mother would react when she found out he was dead, he wondered what will happen to Ember.

Amelinda looks back at him "you're worried about what's happening on Earth, aren't you?"

Dragsooth: "yes..."

Amelinda: "have no worry, the gods will take care of everything. they have a special plan for you... we're almost there." she looked straight ahead and kept walking.

Dragsooth saw they were approaching a large temple.
