No but seriously I'm a long-time fan of this series, I've played just about every game bar the hand held versions of the LoS series (Because the console versions were enough to convince me this series has officially hit rock bottom. >.>) and of all the games I prefer the first. Maybe it's nostalgia, or I just really like it, but I still play it. It's even my No.1 stress relief. The other two are still fun though but YotD is hard to play for long periods of time because the music is nerve-wracking IMO, the instrumentation is definitely geared for little kids. Still a fun game though, but the first had the humor. "You gotta beliieeeeve! heh heh heh." My favorite line is in my sig. Best advice ever given.

Though I don't like the LoS series, I found things to like about it (Except Eternal Night, that game is just horrible and broke everything ANB did right, and didn't fix anything that was wrong with ANB.) such as adding flying in the last game finally, which at least means the series went out with a bang - even if it was a really low-quality beat em up bang. I have my problems with older games too, such as EtD which is too short and the Gamecube port is awful and buggy, not that the PS2 port is any less buggy. Anybody else ever get that 'Perpetually blue Sparx' glitch? But the GC port is just lazy, the beta of that game sounded way more interesting. Good thing aHT put the series back, even if it put it more on the Jap vein of game. (I really should look for that game again, I no longer own most of the games.)

Thanks. I noticed a few um 'discussions' in regards to older and newer Spyro, looks like this argument of 'old and new' pops up everywhere now, no surprise to see I'm on one side of a division again. Though I would say that I love every Spyro game for something... Even TEN's elemental power setup. (Well okay, I don't like Fusion/Orange for anything, card collecting was cool... but it wasn't Spyro.)

Anyway, you've seen how long my posts can get with room for more. (Yes I'm refering to about 70% of the posts I make on my thread under Idle Chatter, you know which posts >.>)

I too find the first few Spyro games to be relaxing even during a stressful speed run, but I just think to myself, "At least I'm playing Spyro."

Hi, I'm new on DS, I have registered yesterday. I'm 16 and I'm from Poland (country in central Europe, over Baltic Sea). I played almost every Spyro game except Enter the Dragonfly and Hero's Tail (I didn't play them because of ressurection of Ripto, Gnasty and because of Ember, yuc).

LOL I know what you mean. Welcome to the forum.

Ember isn't really a reason to not play the game, she's such a minor character. But either way, welcome to DS.
