Chapter 58 Reborn

"No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" roared Malefor's figure as the light shot through Comet.
Comet growled in pain and then screamed his heart out as he began the transform back. "How??" roared his dark voice and his regular voice put together.
Malefor tried to shoot a dark beam at Comet, but he missed.
Comet fell to the floor as his wings began to shrink and he began to get shorter. His whole body was shrinking back to his original height. The blood scar disappeared and the horns began to retreat back into his body. Then the spikes did the same and so did the pointed tail.
Malefor growled and cried," We will meet again, Comet!"
Comet's eyes went back to normal. There stood regular old Comet, alive and healthy. He began to breathe softly when he saw a small light coming towards him.
It was flying around, was this a firefly? No it wasn't.
Comet reached out to touch the glowing ball, but pulled back as it charged at him.
A flash of light gleamed as the light impacted Comet's scales.
Comet cried as his body began to disappear, "What's happening to me?!"
Comet only had his head now. The light shot into it and it began to disappear as well.
"Grahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!" screached Comet as he disappeared.


Comet slowly reappeared in front of everyone. He felt scales touching his lips, but he couldn't open his eyes yet. The scales went away and he began to hear crying. He kept trying to open his eyes, but he couldn't.
"Leave me alone!!!" he screamed in his mind.
Comet jerked his eyes open. There ahead was Zappy, she must have kissed him.
"Zappy?" asked Comet.
"Comet, you're alive!" cried Zappy.

And so Comet had just been saved from being evil forever. He had been reborn.

Chapter 59 Secrets

"I missed you," said Zappy.
"I missed you too, but I still can't believe I'm alive! I thought I would turn evil and second." replied Comet.
"Zappy, do you know who that is?" asked a voice.
"Yeah, I'm Co- Co- Comet........" gasped Comet as he looked at the figure.
It was Spyro, and next to her was Cynder.
"What? Is there something I don't know?" asked Zappy.
"Zappy, honey, Comet is your brother," said Cynder.
Comet was shocked. He had a sister?
"But-but-but how?" asked Zappy.
"We had him as soon as we put you down the river, we never told him that he even had a sister or brother. One day he was taken away from us and that was the last time we saw him." explained Spyro.
"What... I have a brother???" asked Comet.
"Yeah, and you are looking right at him."
Chaos walked towards Comet.
"What?! How can I have an evil brother?!" shrieked Comet.
Chaos said, "I wasn't always evil, I was killed and turned evil."
Spyro said, " he is still a little good."
"So Chaos is my brother and Zappy is my sister?" asked Comet.
"Yes." said Cynder.
"Did you know this, Icy?" asked Zappy.
"Yes." replied Chaos.
"So son, will you join the side of good?" asked Spyro.
"Remember this:
When destruction begins, storms rage, and chaos commenses, and when all seems to be lost, look up to the Tatora mountains. Your answer shall be there." replied Chaos.
"So you aren't?" asked Spyro.
"What do you think? I can't go back there now, what would they think??" asked Chaos.
"It's your choice, son." said Spyro.
"Come on Zappy and Comet!" exclaimed Cynder, waving a wing and flying out of a broken window.
"Coming, Mom!" cried Zappy.
"Come on, Comet." said Zappy.
"See ya later, Icy!" exclaimed the two as they flew out the window.

Chapter 60 Quest

It had been one month later when Comet had walked into his home, "Ah, it's nice to be a family again."
Comet walked into his home, "Ah, it's nice to be a family again."
"Yeah." replied Zappy.
"Hey, Dad, do you think we will ever see Icy again?" asked Comet.
"Of course we will, son." replied Spyro.
Cynder just smiled.
"Well, what did we miss while we were gone?" asked Zappy.
"A lot, including when Beauty rosted Dragon marshmellows for us." replied Cynder.
They all looked up at the sky.
Suddenly, Comet saw a magic dove flying towards him. He heard Zappy gasp. It was covered in green magic.
"Do my eyes deceive me? It's really a messenger bird!" exclaimed Spyro.
Comet stared at the beautiful bird as it landed in front of him.
"Attention, dragons! Where might I find Comet?" asked the dove.
"I-I-I'm right here, sir..." replied Comet.
"Ah, Comet, yes I have something for you. From a certain someone..." explained the bird, dropping a scroll on the ground.
Comet picked it up, who could it possibly be from?
Spyro and Cynder didn't say anything.
"Who's it from?" asked Zappy.
"It is from..... Chaos," replied the dove, "Go on, open it."
Comet clutched the scroll with his claws and opened it up, golden words shimmered acrossed it.

"Dear Comet,

I have been wondering when Convexity would return, when I stumbled upon a prophecy that Malefor left behind. Let me read it off to you:

When dawn has come on the day of black snow, there shall be someone to rise to destroy everything. But there is also one who is worthy enough to fight him, this someone is a red dragon, about 12 years old. The swords will clash as the 2 fight and only one will win.

You see? This prophecy speaks of you, Comet. I was walking around outside when I saw a shooting star, but then it hit the Earth and shot a splatter of darkness across the world. Then the 2 moons eclipsed and it was eternal night once more. I am afraid the prophecy is true: a new evil is coming, and I am afraid it is Convexity who is coming. Comet, my brother.... I am afraid you are our only chance. Here are some words of advise: (These words shimmered the most)

When Darkness falls, a hero must rise.

Follow you heart.

It is the only thing shining now.

When all seems to be lost, look up to the silver clouds to find your ticket to winning.

"Well, what will you do?" asked the messenger bird.
"I'm going." replied Comet.
"Okay." said the dove, flying away.
"But you can't!" cried Zappy.
"He's going, he is the only one who can save us from the darkness." said Spyro.
"I'll miss you!" cried Cynder, giving Comet a kiss.
"I'll miss you too, mom," replied Comet, "And I'll miss you the most, Zappy."
Zappy teared up.
"Bye!" exclaimed Comet, running out of the cave.

Part 4 Fighting the Darkness

Chapter 61 The Beginning of the End

Comet walked around the village and then walked up to Beauty, "Beauty, I think I know someone you might know."
"Who is it?" asked Beauty.
"It's... Icy." replied Comet.
Beauty's mouth gaped and she began to cry.
"I'm sorry." replied Comet.
"Don't be, I've been waiting to hear that name for years." replied Beauty.
"Do you think you could tell me more about Icy?" asked Comet.
"Icy was so handsome back in the day. I could have chosen Frik, his friend, but I chose him. He had been severaly beaten by Gaul's henchmen when he was only a little hatchling. Him and your parents created this village. One day Cynder became very ill. Icy went out on a quest to find the cure, the Ripliex. Eventually I was captured by Gaul's men and taken to the Floating Islands as bait for Icy. Icy saved me and we went in to confront Malefor. Icy defeated him, but was corrupted. I had to leave him behind. The only thing I brought with me was the Ripliex. I haven't seen Icy since then." explained Beauty.
"Icy is Chaos, the new dark master." replied Comet.
Beauty gasped, "How could he be so evil?"
"He still has some good in him. Can you tell me more about this Frik?" asked Comet.
"Frik was Icy closest friend. After Icy left he went off to find him. I haven't seen him since." replied Beauty.
"Where can I find him?" asked Comet.
"I don't know, but I would try the firery underground death chamber where all the dead people go, if he is dead." replied Beauty.
"Be careful, Beauty, the darkness is rising again and the eternal night is approaching. A strange darkness is lerking about and I'm the only one who can destroy it. So I am going on a quest to save the world. I'm thinking Frik may know something about this, if he is alive." said Comet.
"Okay. Be careful, young one, I don't want to lose you too." replied Beauty.
"I will." said Comet. He ran out of the village.

Chapter 62 Werelex

Comet stopped at a strange mist. Ahead were dangerous creatures that no one would dare mess with. He slowly walked into the mucky forest.
A large howl was heard and Comet began to shiver. Then he saw a figure lerking through the shadows.
"Who ever you are, you need to stop what you're trying to do." warned Comet.
Blood red eyes were seen through the strange mist. Then a claw reached out at Comet. Out jumped a dark monster. It was the mixture of a human and a strange creature known as a lex. A lex was an orc-like creature.
"Who trespasses the dark mist of Gaul?" asked the werelex.
"Comet, son of Spyro." replied Comet.
"Spyro??!! Well Comet, your death shall be ultimate. You shall be destroyed!!" roared the werelex. It slashed its claws at him.
Comet dodged the attack and shot fronze at it. This sent it flying into a huge oak.
The werelex got back up and charged at Comet.
When Comet tried to shoot it with fronze, it jumped over his head.
The werelex grabbed Comet from behind and began stabbing him with its claws and then shooting blasts of energy into his body.
Comet knocked it off and stabbed it in the chest.
The werelex roared in pain. It began to blow up.
"Beware of the Mist!!" the werelex roared in its last breath.
Comet walked deeper into the mist...

Chapter 63 Through the Mist

Comet stopped in the center of the mist. Echoes of screaming animals surrounded him. He saw a creature come up to him.
It was a swamp monster. It grabbed at him and spit poison.
Comet shot fronze at it. It growled and slowly faded deeper into the mist. He began to shiver. The beast was somewhere, and it was waiting. He stepped forward and walked into the mist. He saw the shadow of the monster and shot fronze at it.
A screaching noise was heard and then green blood began to drip ahead of him. The monster fell to the ground, dead.
Comet walked deeper into the mist to find a huge stone. He walked up to it.
Out reached a large claw of a Lizardius, a strange human-sized lizard. It grabbed him and dug its claws into him.
Comet began to bleed. He screached and shot fronze right into the lizardius's eye.
The lizardius went flying into the stone, dead.
Comet walked deeper into the mist until he found an ancient oak. Green ooze oozed out of it. Something was inside it...
Comet shot a blast of fronze into a hole in the oak. A screaching noise was heard and a green blob known as Monstrum slithered out of the tree.
Comet quickly shot a blast of fronze into its mouth and knocked it far away.
The monstrum roared, abviously not hert. It shot green ooze at Comet.
Comet dodged it and shot fronze into its face. Still no pain to it. I can't defeat it! he thought.
Then Comet saw a sharp stick just laying there on the ground. He picked it up and stabbed the blob in the gut.
The monstrum roared in pain and then slowly devolved into a green liquid. It was gone... for now.
Comet walked deeper into the mist until he reached the end of it. There ahead was a giant stone stretching up to 15 feet high. And at the very top of it, stuck inside was a huge sword of golden color.

Chapter 64 The Black Knight

This reminded Comet of the story of King Arthur and the sword in the stone. This story happened long before dragons even existed. It was about a sword named Excalibur that was stuck in a stone. Who ever got it out was crowned king of Camelot. Arthur was the one, so he became king. The three Knights of the Round Table, Lancelot, Gawain, Percival, Galahad, Lamorak, and many others were his most trusted knights. King Arthur died at the island of Avalon. His sword was very powerful. Could this one right in front of Comet be that same sword?
Comet looked around to make sure no one was watching him, then he flew up to the top of the stone and stood on it. There were engravings on it. They read:
The one whom pulls out the sacred sword will be crowned king of the dragon kingdom after he has destroyed all evil.
Comet reached out his paws and put them on the handle. Then he slowly began to pull it out. It slid right out! Comet raised the sword above him victoriously.
Spirits began to float out of the ground.
Comet gasped and backed up. Then the sword began to glow blood red. Black magic shot from it and into the air. Nothing happened.
"Phew..." breathed Comet. He was just about to get down when...
"You! Who dares steal my sacred sword Excalibur?! I shall destroy you for that!!!" roared a figure.
The light had made a red portal at the ground, and out of the portal came King Arthur, riding a horse. He looked different because of his armored body and face. Everything was armored.
Comet couldn't believe his eyes, King Arthur was here. He must have come back from the dead when Comet took the sword out of the stone. So this was Excalibur...
"Yah!!!" roared King Arthur as he wipped his horse, telling it to charge at Comet. It did. King Arthur reached out his hand to swipe the sword. Then a dark radiance formed in his palm. The sword went flying out of Comet's paws and into King Arthur's palm.
Something was wrong, King Arthur was evil now. He had the power of darkness.
Comet growled, "Give that back!"
King Arthur cried, "I shall have your head on a stick for saying that!!"
Comet shot fronze at Excalibur, knocking it out of King Arthur's hand. He snatched it and held it tight.
King Arthur slowly took out Excalibur's huge scabbard, which held Excalibur, "You may have my sword, but its scabbard is much more powerful!!"
Comet cried, "Oh yeah? Let's see!!"
King Arthur slashed his scabbard at Comet, "Let's!"
Comet ran after King Arthur as he began to ride away on his horse. He slashed Excalibur at King Arthur. It cut his arm.
King Arthur quickly knocked Comet back with dark magic. He shot a blast of energy out of the scabbard and towards Comet.
Comet jumped above the blast and landed on the horses back.
King Arthur turned around and started slashing at Comet.
Comet quickly blocked the attackes and began slashing at King Arthur's body.
King Arthur kicked him off the horse and continued riding. He shot spheres of darkness at the ground behind him.
Comet slashed at the spheres. They went flying into King Arthur's back, slowing him down.
King Arthur growled and 5 blasts from his scabbard.
Comet dodged them and jumped up on to the horse's back.
King Arthur slashed at him.
Comet blocked the attacks and slashed at him five times and was then kicked off.
"Grahhhh!!!! I shall be back to destroy you!" roared King Arthur. He rode off down the path. He soon disappeared.
Comet clutched Excalibur tightly and then slowly walked in the direction King Arthur went.

Chapter 65 One Knight's Treasure

Comet ran off after King Arthur. He stopped, "Come back here and fight like a man!"
No reply.
Comet held Excalibur in his paw. He slashed the air in anger and then stabbed the ground. A shock wave of energy serged through the ground and animals of all types began to scream in agony. Comet ran farther down the path and stopped at a temple.
This was the temple of Ziac, once home to Ziac, a silver dragon from long ago. It was known for its scaryness.
Comet entered the temple with his sword and lit a fire on it. He continued walking around the dark temple until he found a treasure chest. He tried to open it, but it was locked. Comet stuck Excalibur into its keyhole and turned it.
The chest popped right open. Inside was a big blue gem. This gem was very special, for it was known to open the door to darkness.
Comet picked up the jewel and kept it with him. He continued searching the temple until he came across a dragon skeleton sitting on a throne. It appeared to have no life. Comet walked up to it to find out that it was Ziac's.
Ziac's boney figure slowly curled a finger. It cried, "You! Get out of my temple!! You better not of stolen any of my treasure!"
Comet backed up, breathing hard. He didn't say anything. He just left the temple silently. He still had the gem.
This gem and the sword, Excalibur, had been his treasure.

Chapter 66 The Dark Scroll

Comet was leaving the temple when he heard a hissing voice outside the temple.
"Go in there and retrieve that ssssscroll!" ordered a hissing figure.
Comet clutched Excalibur in his paw. He was ready to attack.
"Boss! Boss! A dragon is here!!" cried three small carnivore dinosaurs.
"Get rid of him!!" roared the T-Rex.
The dinosaurs ran at him.
Comet knocked them back with fronze and then stabbed them with Excalibur.
"Grahhh!! You sssstupid welplingsssss, I'll deal with him my ssssself!" growled the T-Rex. He roared at Comet and charged at him.
Comet jumped out of the way and the T- Rex went crashing into the temple.
The T-Rex roared and slashed his claws at Comet.
Comet blocked the attacks with Excalibur. He slashed the T-Rex, knocking him back.
The T-Rex growled and pushed Comet aside. He ran into the temple and disappeared.
Comet ran after him, "Stop!"
"Make me, ssssssssstupid welp!" roared the T-Rex. He ran into a huge room where there on a huge pedistal in the center of the room, laid a black scroll.
Comet followed him into the room.
"It issssss too late, I have gotten the dark ssssssscroll and you won't ssssstop me!!" roared the T-Rex.
Comet growled, "Who are you and what is the dark scroll?!"
"That isssssssss nothing for you to know!!" roared the T-Rex. He snatched the scroll and ran past Comet and out to the main chamber where Ziac sat.
"You! Give me back my scroll!!!" cried Ziac.
Comet ran after the T-Rex, but he drew a sword and stabbed the ceiling. A cave-in began.
"Stop!!" cried Comet as he tried to stop him.
The T-Rex ran out of the temple, "Ssssssso long!"
Ziac got up out of his throne and began to hover above the ground, "I shall get you!! And you, dragon! You must work for him, so now you shall die!!!!!!!!!!" roared Ziac's boney figure.
"No, I don't!" cried Comet. He jumped back as Ziac swiped at him.
Ziac charged at Comet.
Comet quickly ran for the exit, but it was being caved in by rocks. He slid underneath a crack just as it was being blocked off. He made it back outside. The T-Rex was no where in sight. Comet walked down a path.

Chapter 67 On the Run

Comet ran through the dark forest. He sighted the T-Rex blending in with the trees and bushes. "Come out, whoever you are!" cried Comet.
The T-Rex said, "You can't stop me! Dinoroars, attack!!"
10 strange dinosaur carnivores jumped out of the trees, they had robotical parts and strange spikey weapons in their paws. They all shot cannonballs out of their robotical arms.
Comet jumped out of the way and slashed off one of the dinoroars' arms. He jumped back after a dinoroar shot an electrical pulse from out of its mouth.
The dinoroar ran at him and roared. A pulse shot out of its mouth, knocking Comet back.
Comet got back up and slashed a tree. It collapsed onto 3 dinoroars. He ran at a dinoroar and cut off one of a dinoroar's robotical arm machine gun.
The dinoroar roared in pain, knocking Comet back into a tree. The tree collapsed on the dinoroar. One last shot of electricity shot out of the dinoroar's mouth and at 3 other dinoroars, killing them.
Only 3 dinoroars remained in the area. They all smashed the ground with their iron fists. This caused an earthquake.
Comet flew up into the air and shot a beam of fronze right at the dinoroars. This sent two of them flying into a tree. The tree fell on top of them.
The last dinoroar just ran away screaming.
Comet shook his head and said under his breath, "Baby..."
The T-Rex had all ready left the area.
Comet flew down the path until he began to see the T-Rex's tail. Then his legs, then his body, and then his head. The T-Rex was about a half of a mile away.
"Run, run as fast as you can..." roared the T-Rex as he ran farther away.
"Enough with this gingerbread stuff!" cried Comet as he flew faster.
"Don't even try to catch me, a T-Rex is much faster than a puny dragon!" roared the T-Rex.
Comet growled and held Excalibur out. Light began to form on it. It shot behind Comet, making him be as fast as lightning. He soon caught up with the T-Rex.
"What?! How?!" shrieked the T-Rex.
Comet shot into the air and landed on the T-Rex's back.
"GET OFF OF ME!!!!!" roared the T-Rex as he tried to reach back and grab Comet.
Comet dodged his grabbs and climbed up the back of his kneck. He stood on top of his head. He jumped on to his nose and stood there.
The T-Rex looked at him and then launched him up into the air. He opened his mouth wide to catch him in his mouth.
Comet used Excalibur to hang from the inside of his mouth.
"Time to die!" roared the T-Rex as he tried to swallow him, but Comet was hanging from his teeth.
The T-Rex's breath was stinky, it made Comet gag.
"THAT IS IT!!!" roared the T-Rex. He moved his tongue and snatched Comet with it. He was just about to toss him down his throte when...
"NO!!!! ARGGGGHHHH!!!!!!" screamed the T-Rex as he ran towards a cliff. He tried to stop, but he couldn't. He fell off the cliff.
Comet quickly stabbed the T-Rex's tongue and got out of his mouth. He ran down his back as he plummeted down the cliff. He reached the tip of his tail and jumped off of it. He flew up to the cliff and landed safely.
The T-Rex disappeared down the cliff.
"The one disadvantage of a dinosaur: They can't fly out of danger!" cried Comet. Then he heard a huge splash and he knew this wasn't the last time he would see that T-Rex.

Chapter 68 Swai Mole

Comet walked away from the cliff to find a small cave. He entered it to find a mole being attacked by Dinoroars.
The dinoroars were firing bullets at the mole.
"Hey, stop!" cried Comet.
The dinoroars stopped attacking the mole and turned to face Comet. Then they jumped at Comet and shot missiles out of their robotic arms.
Comet evaded as the missiles hit the cave. A small cave-in started.
The mole cried, "Please! You have to stop them before my cave is destroyed!!"
Comet shot fronze at dinoroars.
They growled in pain.
Comet created a mysterious fog with the fronze, which caused the dinoroars to be unconcious for a short while. He ran at the dinoroars and quickly chopped off two of their heads with Excalibur.
Three more remained, they continued firing missiles at Comet.
Comet evaded and they cave started to collapse even more. He made more fog with fronze and stabbed two of the dinoroars in the chest.
They fell to the ground. One more remained, it looked like the commander of all of them. It was much bigger than the others. It shot cannonballs out of its arms and shot bullets out of its machine guns and then shot a huge pulse out of its cannon, then more missiles.
Comet dodged all of the attacks and quickly made more fog. He jumped up on to the dinoroars back and started slashing at its neck.
The dinoroar fell to the ground, dead. The cave continued collapsing. It slowly stopped and the cave was safe again.
"Oh, thankyou, thankyou!!!" exclaimed the mole.
"You're welcome, what happened here?" asked Comet.
"First off, my name is Swai Mole, son of Moleyair, friend of Spyro. And it was him who sent them." explained Swai.
"Who?" asked Comet.
"Zaxus, the biggest dinosaur in the world. I don't know why he is here though, he was banished to the Dinosaur Kingdom long ago for attacking the dragon king and trying to take over the Dragon Kingdom." replied Swai.
"I met him. Knocked him off that cliff outside. He stole a black scroll from the temple of Ziac. Do you know anything about this scroll?" asked Comet.
"Ah, the Dark Scroll. It is believed to take over the world and open a door to darkness along with the dark gems scattered around the Dragon Kingdom, Dinosaur Kingdom, and the Lost Kingdom. Did he get those gems too?" asked Swai.
"Not that I know of, I have one of them right here," said Comet. He took out the gem he found at Ziac's temple.
"That is very important. You must keep that in a safe place, don't let Zaxus get it," said Swai.
"Well if you see Moleyair, then tell him Spyro's son says hi." said Comet.
"You are Spyro's son?" asked Swai.
"Yeah." replied Comet.
"Okay, I'll tell him that." replied Swai.
"Well, I must be on my way. By the way, have you seen a hulking 15 feet tall knight riding a black horse?" asked Comet.
"Yeah, he went towards the Dragon City." replied Swai.
"Ok, thanks," said Comet as he ran at the cave, "I hope I see you again!"
"I hope I see you too." replied Swai.
Comet ran towards the cliff, but there was someone waiting for him. The figure was 10 feet tall, wore red armor all over, and had 2 weird shaped swords.

Chapter 69 Gawain

"Who are you?" asked Comet.
"I am Sir Gawain of the Knights of the Round Table, and my master has ordered me to slay you!!" he said.
Comet remembered the story of Gawain and the Green Knight. It took place at a New Year's Eve feast, where King Arthur happily ate. Suddenly, and unexpectedly, a knight who was completely green, even his skin, came to King Arthur and said that if King Arthur or any other brave representative would take the knight's own axe and strike him with it, then the challenger would have to return to him in exactly a year to receive a blow in return. Gawain excepted the challenge and clutched the axe. He then cut of the Green Knight's head. Suddenly, the knight picked up his head and rode away on his horse.
In a year, Gawain makes his promise and meets the Green Knight at the Green Chapel. He takes the blow and leaves. He then went back to King Arthur's castle. So this was Gawain, right in front of Comet.
Comet cried, "I'll beat you, just like I beat your king!!"
"You fool! You shall end up getting the same wound I gave the Green Knight, except you won't live!!" growled Gawain as he raised his strange swords. He ran at Comet and slashed.
Comet jumped out of the way and Gawain ended up stabbing a huge boulder. As he tried to get his swords out of the boulder, Comet slashed him bad with Excalibur.
"Grahhh!!!!!" roared Gawain as he pulled his swords out, "Take this!" He shot blasts of fire out of his palms.
Comet jumped back and shot fronze at Gawain.
Gawain growled and ran deeper into the forest. His horse, Gringolet, was standing next to a tree. Gawain hopped on to it and charged at Comet.
Comet jumped out of the way and Gawain ran into a tree.
Gawain fell off his horse.
Comet started slashing him.
Gawain growled and shot waves of fire from his palms. He jumped back on his horse.
Comet dodged the fire and knocked Gawain off his horse with fronze. He started slashing him again.
Gawain knocked Comet away and hopped back on to his horse, "We shall meet again, puny dragon!!" He rode off into the forest and disappeared.
Then Comet heard a roar. He ran over to the cliff to see Zaxus climbing up the pathways.
Zaxus was heading for Comet...

Chapter 70 Zaxus' Power

Comet backed away from the cliff as Zaxus came closer.
"You are going to die, you welp!!" roared Zaxus as he ran up the last pathway.
Comet turned around and ran into the forest.
Zaxus reached the top of the cliff and roared. He ran after Comet.
Comet jumped out of the way.
Zaxus ran into a tree, causing it to collapse on him. He got out from underneath the tree and ran towards Comet.
Comet needed more speed, so he used Excalibur to get 3000 feet away, but Zaxus was still close by.
Zaxus ran faster. He ran down a different path and disappeared.
What is he doing? thought Comet as he continued running down the path. There was a fork in the path up ahead. As Comet ran towards it, Zaxus jumped out of a hidden path in front of him.
Zaxus blocked the only way, "No where to go!"
"Oh yeah?" asked Comet as he flipped up on to Zaxus' back. He stabbed it and jumped off. He continued down the path.
"What? No!!" roared Zaxus as he ran after Comet.
A small village began to come into focus.
Comet cried, "Everyone run!"
The villagers began to scream in terror as the ran around the place.
Comet reached the village and stood at a totem pole in the center of the village.
Zaxus stopped in front of Comet. The area they were in was perfect for a fight, and big enough too.
Comet shot starlight into Zaxus' mouth.
Zaxus growled and absorbed the energy. He shot it back out in a giant cosmos.
Comet was hit and sent flying into a tent. He got up and ran towards Zaxus.
Meanwhile, Zaxus was chasing villagers, trying to eat them.
"Hey, leave them alone!" cried Comet as he shot a blast of light out of Excalibur and into Zaxus.
Zaxus went flying into a tree. He growled and began to absorb the powers in the world. He said, "You see, I have the power to absorb anything in the world and that thing will die as I grow stronger!!"
Comet growled and quickly slashed Zaxus' foot.
"Ow!!! Grahhhhhh!!!" he roared as he shot a blast of power at Comet.
Comet deflected it back with Excalibur.
Zaxus was hit and knocked out.
Comet quickly stabbed the ground and drew a circle around Zaxus with Excalibur. The circle fell deep into Earth along with Zaxus. "That should take care of him for a while." He walked out of the village.

Chapter 71 Avalar

Comet walked up an incredibly large hill. Once he reached the top, 30 horrid minutes had past and he was sweating. The sun was steaming hot, and it was at a dangerously high 115 degrees F. He looked over to what was on the other side of the hill.
It was Avalar. To the west was the cheetah village, to the east was a waterfall, and to the north was a river leading to Warfang. The waterfall would be the perfect place to cool down.
Comet flew over to the waterfall, but the temperature was so high that his wings completely lost all motion. He went crashing back down to the hill, then he went rolling down its rocky side. Once he hit the ground, the waterfall was only 100 yards away. He slowly walked towards the water. Comet finally reached the water after five painful minutes. He slowly walked into the refreshing water.
The water was perfect. It was extra cold for a hot day. Comet's wings slowly began to go back to normal and his body felt better than ever. He soaked in the water for an hour and then slowly tried to get out, but the water was so good, he just couldn't get out. Comet had to force himself out of the water.
Then Comet noticed that the cheetahs were doing something. They all held pitch forks. A figure was strapped to the totem pole. It was a dragon, and it was black. Convexity maybe?
Comet walked over to the village, "Hey, what are you doing?"
"None of your business!!" snapped Chief Prowlus as he pointed his spear at the dragon, "Now tell me: ARE YOU EVIL AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THESE PARTS?????????!!!!!!"
"You shall never know!!" roared the dragon.
This dragon did not sound like Convexity or Chaos. Plus it was Comet's age. Who was this dragon?
" Hey! Who are you?" Comet asked the dragon. He was eager to find out.
"Enough talk!!" roared the dragon. He broke the chains that tied him to the totem pole. Then he shot a blast of darkness out of his mouth.
The cheetahs jumped back in fright. Chief Prowlus growled and stabbed the dragon in the shoulder.
The dragon knocked Chief Prowlus into a tree. He took off into the air and shot one last wisp of darkness at the village. This caught it one fire. The dragon quickly flew away.
"Chief Prowlus! Are you all right?" a cheetah ran over to him.
"Yes, Hunter, I just have a sprained ankle." replied Chief Prowlus pridefully.
"Hey, Hunter, my dad knows you!" said Comet.
"Who?" asked Hunter.
"Spyro." replied Comet.
"You're his son? Where is he?" asked Hunter.
"In a village he made nearby the temple." replied Comet.
"Well tell him I said hi." replied Hunter.
"I will as soon as I get home. I am on a quest to defeat the darkness. If you didn't already know, and eclipse is starting, and this one will be here forever if I don't stop it!" explained Comet.
"Okay, buddy." replied Hunter.
"Wait, what is your name?" asked Hunter.
"My name is Comet." said Comet.
"Well, Comet, could you help us put out this fire?" asked Chief Prowlus.
"I guess." replied Comet.
"Good, the water buckets are over in my cabin, take them to the waterfall and get some water. Then bring it back and put out the fire." ordered Chief Prowlus.
"Sure thing." said Comet. He walked over into Chief Prowlus's cabin and grabbed two buckets. He flew over to the waterfall and got water in them. He came back and put out the fire.
"Thank you." said Chief Prowlus.
"Well, bye!" said Comet as he started to leave the village, but someone was waiting for him outside. And it had a sword.

Chapter 72 Lancelot

"Not another one!" cried Comet.
"Just your mouth, you foolish beast! I shall destroy you! My master commands it!!" roared the knight.
"So which knight are you?" asked Comet.
"I am Sir Lancelot, now shut up!" growled the knight.
Comet remembered the story of Lancelot: He was the son of King Ban. One day he was taken away from his home by the Lady of the Lake and brought to King Arthur's court where he became part of it. Eventually, Lancelot committed adultery with a girl named Elaine and gave birth to Galahad, who later went on the quest to find the Holy Grail. Lancelot himself didn't get to go on the quest, due to his adultery.
King Arthur's queen had to be executed. King Arthur was forced to order this execution. When this takes place, Lancelot and his men charge in to rescue her. Many knights are killed and Lancelot killed Gareth, Gawain's youngest brother. Lancelot carried the queen all the way to Joyous Gard. The queen is eventually returned to King Arthur.
King Arthur is really angry at Lancelot. He sends an army after him, for he is hiding at a rival court in France. Gawain overtly foils attempts at armistice due to his hatred of Lancelot for killing his brother. King Arthur eventually returns home after Mordred's Revolt and the death of Gawain. Lancelot arrives to late after the final battle and the departure of the king. Later, he dies from his sins and his body is taken to Joyous Gard for entombment.
Comet growled and slashed Excalibur at him.
Lancelot jumped back and shot a shock wave out of his palms.
Comet dodged it and jumped over Lancelot. He landed behind him and slashed his back.
Lancelot growled, "Take this!" He jumped up into the air and did a mega slam into the ground. Electricity went flying everywhere.
This sent Comet flying into a tree. He got up and shot fronze at Lancelot.
Lancelot quickly blocked it with his sword. He stabbed the ground with it and the area began to fade away as a portal opened.
Comet blocked his eyes with Excalibur, for it was too bright. He was then being sucked into the portal.
Lancelot ran into it.
Comet was plunged into the darkness as he appeared in a strange purple dimension.
Lancelot stood in the center of the dimension, sword raised, "Get ready to feel some pain, you welp!" His sword gleamed. Then he zoomed at Comet as fast as lightning and stabbed him.
"Ahhhhh!!!!!!!" cried Comet. He growled and ran over to a nearby stone wall. He hid behind it.
"You can run, but you can't hide!" laughed Lancelot as he ran over to the wall.
Comet quickly dashed around the other side of the wall as Lancelot went behind the wall. "Grahhhh!!!!" growled Comet. He slashed the wall hard and it fell over on Lancelot.
Lancelot got out from underneath it and shot electricity out of his sword.
Comet dodged it and ran over to a big boulder. He hit it with Excalibur and sent it rolling right into Lancelot.
"GRAHHHHHH!!! You shall not win! No!!!!!!!!!" roared Lancelot. He opened a portal with his sword and ran into it.
Comet followed behind.

They appeared back in Avalar.
Lancelot ran over towards the river which led to Warfang. A black horse was waiting there. He hopped on to it and rode off down the river, "We shall meet again!"
"I no we won't, because my fights don't stop until I stop fighting!" cried Comet as he used Excalibur's power to speed up. He reached Lancelot and jumped on to his horse. He started slashing him in the chest.
"Get off my horse!!" growled Lancelot as he knocked him off.
Comet fell to the ground. He got back up and ran after him.
Lancelot reached the cave which lead to the Ruins of Warfang. He trotted inside.
Comet followed him close behind, he hoped that the gates were closed.

Chapter 73 Burning Bridges

Lancelot's horse ran across the bridge and towards the gates.
Comet followed him. He sighed in relief for the gates were closed. He growled and shot fronze at Lancelot.
Lancelot blocked it with his sword and then sent a shock wave of energy across the bridge. An explosion appeared and the bridge caught on fire.
Comet was on the other side of the bridge, "No!!" He tried to run across it, but it was destroyed.
Lancelot stood at the gates, "So long, peasant!" He shot a shock wave at the gate and blew it open. He ran into Warfang.
Comet tried to fly over the bridge, but there was too much ash. He grabbed on to a ledge and began shimmying across it. He reached the other side of the bridge and hopped on to it. He ran into Warfang.

Chapter 74 Gateway to War

Comet ran into town square to find Lancelot getting off his horse.
Lancelot growled, "You just don't know when to quit!" He slashed at Comet.
Comet blocked it with Excalibur and stabbed Lancelot in the gut.
"Grahhhh!!! You shall pay for that!" cried Lancelot. He shot electricity at Comet.
Comet flew up to the top of a building and perched on the roof. The electricity hit the bottom of the building.
"Get down here!" growled Lancelot.
Comet jumped off the building and stabbed Lancelot. Then he noticed there were no moles or dragons around. Where could they be?
Lancelot knocked him back with electricity and hopped on his horse. He rode down the pathway and up some stairs. He rode out on to the ramparts. He jumped off of them and his horse landed on the battlefield.
Comet followed him and saw that a war was going on in the battlefield. An army of knights were attacking the Dragon City. King Arthur was in the center of the knights on his horse.
King Arthur stabbed a wyvern with the scabbard.
Lancelot rode off into the restless army.
Gawain was on top of a huge tower fighting a dragon. He stabbed it in the chest.
Comet ran over to the battering ram and shot a blast at Gawain, then King Arthur.
Gawain fell off the tower, but then grabbed on to a window before he hit the ground. He opened it and went inside the building.
King Arthur growled and pointed his scabbard at Comet, "Get him!"
20 knights charged towards the front gate. Moles quickly closed it.
Gawain emerged from the tower entrance and ran up the stairs towards Comet. He charged at him and shot a wave of fire.
Comet jumped over it and slashed Gawain.
Gawain growled and shot fireballs out of his sword.
Comet dodged them and ran at Gawain.
Gawain quickly grabbed Comet and tried to toss him off the ramparts.
Comet quickly punched him in the face and got loose. Then he pushed Gawain off the ramparts.
Gawain hit the ground, unconscious, but not dead.
The knights quickly busted down the gates with a battering ram. They marched into the plaza directly below the ramparts.
Comet hopped down to the plaza and landed next to Gawain's limp body. He quickly stabbed a knight in the head. One by one they were killed until none remained. He was just about to close the gates when another knight, riding a horse, rode into the plaza.
"Gawain and Lancelot may have failed the task of destroying you, but I won't, for I am the great and powerful Sir Percival!!" said the figure.

Chapter 75 Percival

Comet knew who Percival was: He was raised in a forest far away from Camelot. One day Percival traveled to King Arthur's court and was crowned a knight due to his prowess and his innocent heart. He was one of the knights that went to find the Holy Grail. He almost found it. When Percival was searching, he came across a mysterious ship owned by the most beautiful woman. He fell immediately in love with her. Just at the moment when he was about to enter her room, he saw his unsheathed sword laying on the floor. On its pommel, there was a red cross - the sign of crucifixion - which reminded him of his duties to find the Holy Grail. Ashamed, he quickly made the sign of the cross in repentance. Suddenly, the ship turned into a cloud of black smoke, then the woman turned ugly and set off with the wind roaring, yelling that the water seemed to be burned after her. Percival was so disappointed, that he stabbed himself in the thigh.
Later, on his journey, he met up with two other knights, and together they entered the presence of the Holy Grail. Percival was permitted his holy glimpse, but not a full vision due to what he had done at the ship. He did, however, receive profound spiritual nourishment from the Grail. And returning from Sarras, Sir Percival became the Grail King, heading the Order of Grail Knights.
Percival quickly stabbed Comet in the leg.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!!" cried Comet in pain as he fell to the ground and nursed his leg.
Percival forged a magic glowing ball of air and shot it at Comet.
Comet quickly jumped out of the way and stood back up, painfully. He slashed at Percival.
Percival blocked it and knocked Comet into a building. He shot wind at a tower.
The wind hit the tower and sent it falling over at Comet.
Comet rolled out of the way as the building hit the ground. He shot fronze at Percival.
Percival blocked it and stabbed the ground with his sword. A hurricane formed around him.
It started tossing buildings around the city. 5 of them flew at Comet.
Comet cut them in half with a couple slashes. He flew at Percival and slashed at him.
Percival blocked it with his sword and slashed at Comet.
Comet was struck across the chest, "Grahhhh!!!" He tried to stab Percival, but the hurricane sent him flying.
Percival jumped into the air and shot a wind cyclone at Comet.
Comet limped out of the way and flew up on to a building. He slashed it in half with a mighty strike with Excalibur. He flew off of it.
The building went falling towards Percival.
Comet shot fronze at Percival.
Percival blocked the attack, but was too slow to get out of the way. The building fell on him.
Comet raised Excalibur victoriously.
Suddenly, a blast of electricity hit Excalibur and sent it flying out of Comet's paws. It landed hard against the ground.
Lancelot walked towards Comet
Comet tried to run, but he fell to the floor. He became unconscious from all the pain.
Lancelot laughed, "You're mine now!"

Chapter 76 Escape from Lancelot

Comet woke up in a room. He was muzzled and on a stone table.
Lancelot stood in front of him, "Ah, the dragon has awakened!"
Comet growled and tried to take off the muzzle, but he was chained up.
Lancelot drew his sword, "Time to die!"
Comet struggled to break free.
Lancelot slashed at Comet, but something caught his blade. It was a paw.
The paw was from Hunter.
"What?! No!!" growled Lancelot.
Hunter pushed Lancelot into a wall and shot an arrow at him.
Lancelot dodged it and ran at Hunter.
Hunter shot him in the arm with an arrow. He released Comet from the chains and took off his chains.
Comet shot fronze at Lancelot.
Lancelot blocked it.
Hunter ran out of the room and down a hallway.
Comet followed as Lancelot chased him.
They exited out of the building, it had appeared to be a building in Warfang.
Comet and Hunter ran far away from the building and hid behind a wagon.
Lancelot looked right, then left, then he went in the opposite direction of the two.
"Thanks, Hunter." replied Comet.
"No problem." replied Hunter as he ran off.
Comet emerged from behind the wagon. Suddenly, electricity hit him and sent him flying towards the Ruins of Warfang gates.
Lancelot ran at him.
Comet went flying back into the Ruins.
Lancelot almost reached him when an arrow hit the gate and caused them to close.
Comet hit the ground and got back up. Hunter had saved him yet again. The fire had cleared by now, so Comet flew over the bridge and reached the outside. He looked back at the battle going on in Warfang.
Suddenly, a roar was heard from nearby.

Chapter 77 Cronizuek's Temple

The ground began to shake and trees went flying around the place. Zaxus appeared out of a forest and ran at Comet.
Comet jumped out of the way.
Zaxus ran into a huge boulder. He roared in pain and pulled out a magic staff, "Time to die!!" He shot dark magic out of it.
Comet jumped out of the way and shot light out of Excalibur and into Zaxus.
Zaxus fell to the ground. He got back up and formed a dark ball in his paws. He shot it at Comet and then shot magic as well.
Comet dodged the magic, but he was too slow to dodge the ball. He was hit and captured in a magic cage.
"Now I have you!" cried Zaxus as he ran towards Comet.
Comet shot fronze at Zaxus.
Zaxus absorbed it and shot it right back at him.
Comet was hit and paralyzed. He stared at Zaxus.
"You will not stop me from fore filling my destiny, welp!! It is my destiny to find the 6 dark orbs and use them and the Dark Scroll to destroy the world!!" roared Zaxus. He ran off, leaving Comet trapped.
Comet clutched Excalibur tight and slashed at the cage. Nothing happened. Then he did one final slash and it cut the cage apart for there is nothing Excalibur can't cut through. Comet landed on the ground and flew after Zaxus.

Comet found Zaxus standing next to a temple.
Zaxus growled, "You don't know when to quit do you?!" He shot darkness out of the staff and ran into the temple.
Comet followed him. He stopped and looked around the shadowy chamber. He couldn't see a thing. He lit a light on Excalibur.
5 dinoroars ambushed him in the dark. They all shot energy balls out of their arm cannons. Comet jumped out of the way and killed the dinoroars in one slash.
Zaxus appeared in the dark, "The place you are in is Cronizuek's Temple. A dark orb is here. This belongs to me!!"
Comet ran at Zaxus, but was knocked back.
A pedestal was nearby. A dark orb was on it.
Zaxus snatched it and ran into a chamber.
Comet followed and then stopped. A mighty skeleton warrior was sitting on a throne in here, and he was breathing.
This skeleton was none other than Cronizuek, the mighty warrior. He cried, "Who dares steal one of my treasure?!"
Zaxus didn't care, he just threw a rock at Cronizuek and ran out of the temple.
Comet looked at Cronizuek.
"Grahhhh!!! Wrongreece, come out!" ordered Cronizuek.
Just then a huge beast entered the chamber.

Chapter 78 Wrongreece

The beast was part horse, part man, part dragon, and part zombie. It slowly walked into the chamber and roared.
Comet was disgusted. Never had he seen something as ugly as that. He slashed his blade at it.
The beast grabbed Excalibur and threw it behind him.
Comet was in trouble now. He didn't have a weapon. All he had was fronze, and the beast would probly block it anyway. He had to try it though. He shot it at the Wrongreece.
The Wrongreece deflected it with its shield. It shot a beam at Comet.
"Woah!" exclaimed Comet as he jumped out of the way and the beam hit a golden dabloon. Immediatly, the dabloon turned into stone.
So this creature's ability was to turn things to stone and if the Wrongreece's shield could deflect anything, then maybe Comet could deflect the beam with it and back at the Wrongreece.
Comet jumped over the Wrongreece.
It slashed at him with its blade. It missed him.
Comet snatched the shield out of its hand.
The Wrongreece shot the beam at him.
Comet deflected it with the shield.
The beam hit the Wrongreece and turned him into stone.
"Yeah!!" cried Comet as he grabbed Excalibur.
"No!!!" roared Cronizuek as he shot a strange power at Comet.
Comet evaded it and the power hit a pillar and caused the temple to start to collapse. He ran for the only exit. He jumped out of the temple just in time as it collapsed.
Some one was waiting for him...
