So instead of finding out that it was just you who made the last post if there was the icon there, someone else, so you know when someone replied to your post. Might take a lot of work though, since others need to know that you've posted and be able to see the icon.

I admit that would be pretty nice if it's possible.

Yes, this is exactly what I've wanted for a while, but I thought I'd be the only one. So if I replied to a thread, and I click out of the thread onto the topic lists, I should not expect to see that thread marked as "new" because it was only me who last replied in it.


On a slightly related note regarding thread notifications, I would like to request a refresh feature* in which all threads would be marked as "read" (i.e. no icons that designate any thread as "unread"). Sometimes I'm just interested in a select few threads, and for all others, I'd rather not have them marked as threads of "new" content.

*more or less a button always present at the bottom of the page or something like that

Funny, that's been happening to me for the past few days. No new message icon.
