The music was composed by Jun Senoue, who did the theme songs and music of Sonic Advenure, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Adventure 2. I doubt Activision will hire him to do Spyro music.

I know. Sonic games always have awesome music, but this takes the cake, me thinks.

Senoue was the Sound Director. The score was composed by several individuals including but not limited to Jun Senoue, Tomoya Ohtani, Kenichi Tokoi, Fumie Kumatani, and Heigo Tani. They're an independent sound studio: Wave Master Studios. Activision doesn't hire eastern composer terms, so this will never happen.

I wonder what's gonna happen next. Let's hope they ironed out all the negative points of the game.

Though I'm tired of epic Spyro, Russel Shaw would be a good composer for an LOS game. Here's a sample of his stuff:

I don't see why Activision had to replace them. They obviously haven't heard the music score of those two made for the trilogy.

Well... perhaps this is a new trilogy, even if it is supposed to take place in the Legend era? Stewart Copeland worked on the first, and then Rebecca and Gabe for the next, and now... we'll have to find out for ourselves when the time comes.

Hopefully, not a new reboot. Activision has already messed up one of Mike's ideas for the next game.

To be honest, I don't think Activision really cares about Spyro. They're too busy with Guitar Hero, and some other franchises I don't care to mention...

I bet they'll only publish the next game, and hopefully leave the thinking to the Spyro Team.

With all do respect that leaves me feeling... concerned . I've looked around for such a name and I couldn't find anything as of yet. *sigh* for some reason I got the feeling that this Spyro Team of which you speak of Aura is going to be like the Sonic Team. Mind you, I don't really enjoy Sonic Team's work (Just seems lazy to me). I'm not saying that Spyro Team is going to be the same but for some reason I can't shake that feeling


Like I said on the SpyroForum, a composer change isn't going to deter me for a new Spyro game... honestly music doesn't make a game, the design and development does. However - I got a bad feeling that they will continue with the TLOS universe (It won't be long before the fans in the wastelands die out ). Possibly bringing in little to no references from the original games and what not.

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers as they say. If this new game turns out to be a flop, then its going to be a long time before I start spending money a game that has Spyro on it

Well, Sierra called the ones who worked on the production of the LoS trilogy the Spyro Team back on the Sierra forums, mentioned by Chris Wilson and Mike Graham, producers of the LoS trilogy. Either you weren't around or didn't even go the forums back then if you hadn't heard of the name.

Yeah - never been on a Sierra forum, or Activision forum. Seems to be nothing but for TLOS fans, since I'm not a TLOS fan, I have no business being there. Still have my doubts about this whole Sierra - Activision Blizzard thing for Spyro though. Maybe it just bad experience talking here but for some reason I don't think people like me will see a "good" Spyro game again .

Of course "good" is just an expression of my opinion. Others might think otherwise.

Also the music of a game is what describes the game itself. Without music that suits the game itself, it wouldn't make any sense.

The way the composers of the LoS trilogy did the music from the three games, it really fitted the situation, the tension, and the tranquility in the story.

*sigh* That may be true, but I don't want that to be the next Spyro game's main selling point. Graphics, music, I don't care for really. If I want good graphics and a good score I'll go watch a movie, not play a video game . I just hope the design aspects of. . . Spyro Team is creative and they know how to make the gameplay fun, challenging, and unique. Something that Spyro can grasp on his own.

Of course it a stretch and there are going to be loads of development walls, but at least make it something that's not just another beat-em-up .

Still, this thread isn't about wanting something for the next game. And depending on what direction they go with the next game will depend on how the music will be organized. Whoever is composing the music will be responsible for that unique flavor.

After Dotd, I'm RENTING the next game. And I'll never buy another Spyro game till they make some SERIOUS improvements.

Yeah, I'll have to hear some seriously good things about the nexy installment before I pick it up. xD

Dawn of the Dragon spoiled a lot of the elements I actually liked about the first two games of the trilogy.

Meh, I'll just wait until the price comes down, or I can get it used. I rarely play console games as it is, and renting would be the worst mistake I could possibly make in that situation.

Oh ****... After DotD Activision will **** Spyro up for all, no young Spyro, no cool Sparx, no Ignitus, no respected Evil guy, no Rebeca's and Gabriel's music... And I'm sure that they will found another actress to give voice for Cynder... The same for Sparx... Damn it, Spyro will end... Don't screw Spyro up as much as they screwed up Crash Bandicoot... Spyro and Crash are my fav characters from childhood...

You don't know what they'll do. Have a little faith and don't make your opinion on the next game until you play it or at least see something of it. You know nothing of the next game, so you can't arbitrarily call it bad just coz it's activision, and you realy can't say who/what will/won't be in the game. All we DO know is that the composers from LOS won't be there, but that's all we know. Cynder needs a new voice; Ricci gave her very little emotion. It's a pretty safe bet that Spyro WON'T end either; he's a huge money maker.

IMHO, I think they screwed up Spyro WORSE than Crash sice LOS began. At least the new Crash games maintain the craziness of old Crash and keep the comedy and light feel. Not to mention that the games are still fun. Spyro on the other hand has been turned into a mopey lovey-dovey wimp, and his games are dull and gloomy. I could go on about the bad of LOS, but I just can't be bothered to type that much.

I know you're all getting antsy about the lack of info; I am too, but maybe they're just taking thier time with it. If they are that's a good bet it won't be so bad. Also, it's good that they keep quiet so there are no spoilers and so other companies can't steal thier ideas.

I want to hear Mutato Muzika's music in new Spyro's (is Muzika still alive, btw?), he made a piece of good music for Crash Bandicoot.
Yeah, maybe Spyro won't be as bad as I thought, but I don't think that without Krome, Kneubuhl&Mann duet and good Sparx Activision will make better Spyro than DotD...
Anybody knows, where I can download TEN main theme, this music from Main Menu? I love this, and I don't want to turn on PS2 and watch Main Menu for 4 minutes to hear this music

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree. To me, music is what you can't describe in words. It can be exciting, mischievious, joyful, triumphant, and anything else. The music sets the scene for a video game. So yes, I agree that the design is important, but you can't throw away music, that would be absolutely foolish.

I know what Cuzberry means, my Spyro the Dragon CD is dirty and I have no music, only steps, spitting fire and bzzzzz-making Sparx... Can you imagine Spyro without music? TEN without groaning in Main Menu? Crash Bandicoot without Mutato's awesome music? If yes, you have a very big imagination...
