Kay, I have a bunch of pix of the latest drawing I did.

I'm gonna post ur drawing lesson in my next post, desi.

This pic that i drew is Spyro and Cynder together after the defeat of Malefore watching shooting stars. So until I post the lesson, enjoy!


These two shots of it are a little ... funky bcause my camera flash makes the colored pencils reflect the light. It makes the pics less blurry, but messes up the colors on Cynder's neck and the grass around their feet:

That pic took me 3 hours to finish!


At any rate, here is ur first lesson in 3-D drawing, desi. A basic way to draw 3-D wings (if u use this technique, plz just give me credit at the bottom of ur posts. Thanx)


Step 1: Draw a rough pencil "positioning" sketch showing where the wing bones will go:

Step 2: Create the actual outline for the wing with membranes and wing bones in PENCIL

Step 3: Trace over the pencil outline with a fine-tipped felt pen (NOT ballpoint)

Step 4: Use this technique to create a 3-D bulging effect---- Add more color to the edges of an object and gradually blend it to lighter colors as you get closer to the middle of it:

Use the above technique to fill out the rest of the wing:

And, viola! A perfect 3-D wing!!

wow, it dosn't look too good. smilie i couldn't find a fine-tip marker...and i drew the wing too small so the wing bone was hard to shade. smilie

Crayons are a real pain and VERY cumbersome.
