This should've been posted in the General section, since it's not related to DotD.

Well, we know that Rebecca Kneubuhl isn't returning to compose the music of the next Spyro game, because Activision already chose a composer for it.

Urgh? I don't know do I? All I hear rumours about is a movie.

I would love to compose for the next game, but I don't think they'll like it very much

No one knows anything! No info's been anounced, except that the old composers aren't returning and it's likely that they will continue with LOS (regrettably).

I hear new info comes out in spring, like in May or April I think.

I kinda liked TLoS tbh

We get to find out what Spyro thinks of Cynder loving him.

Thats Good, and im so Hoping they actually do make a game, not a movie.

they probebly are making the movie, but they are still making a new game(i think)

Our best bet for any true information will likely be this summer with E3.

i havent heard anything about a new game:/ but if it comes put i hope there will be more dragons in it like another dragoness ore so;P

Answer: NOTHING! Nobody does!

Another game in the LOS universe may be okay if they work out the bugs present in DotD. LOS had potential, and DotD killed that potential. Still, even if the next game is not classic style (or LOS style for that matter) and they make it good with few to no bugs/ plotholes/ fail characters (ie. Cynder) I'll still preffer the old.

i only played one of the old games before i started to play LOS, so, they became my favorite. >.>

Well It`s suppose to be called The Legend Of Spyro:A New Age

The Legend of Spyro is only used as the title for the trilogy. And since the trilogy is over, the next game probably won't be named Legend of Spyro as part of the game title.

The 'Legend' trilogy has ended. They're coming up with something fresh.

Yeah, I kinda hope they do start over again. I'm tired of LOS. True fans would be upset and maybe leave but I don't think Activision cares as long as an even or greater amount of fans buy thier game.

But they might do another Spyro game in the LoS universe. Not named 'The Legend of Spyro' of course.

To be honest every fan of an old series gets upset when something new comes out. Example Transformers & pokemon. people who liked the old pokemon series dont like the new ones, and people who liked the very first transfomers didnt like the new movie so, the true fans wont get mad either way as long as the series continues. I like both old and new of transformers and pokemon as well as Spyro. So as long as they come out with a game that i can play on my ps3 im good.

I'd like the next game to have a bonus to watch the free sneak peak of the movie AND the trailer!

'True' fans of anything at least like MOST of the franchise. Then there are 'LoS fans' and 'Original fans'.

meh something tells me they are, because otherwise why do they and i mean activision keep making pointless Icarly games when pokemon and zelda rule over the DS. From a marketing stand point it doesnt make sense, hardly anyone buys those games really, waste of money really. But you never know.

I actually hope they make another TLoS game so they can close all those gaps left behind by DOTD

There are 8 games in the spyro franchise, not counting handheld ones. I like the first three Spyro games made by InsOmniac, and also AHT and I even enjoy ETD more than LOS. Though I preffer the classics, I still do like most of the franchise, therefore I am a true fan. What's more is, I used to like LOS, believing it had potential. Although DotD ruined LOS for me, I still like those games as long as I'm in the mood to play. A rare occurence, but it does happen.

Read what I said above. I wasn't upset when LOS first came out. A little bummed that the spunky little dude I love wasn't in it, but not upset. It was intruiging in the start, and I was even a rabid fan for a short while. I can't say I'll be upset when the next game arrives because IDK what it will be like. If I get upset over the game I'll have to play it first wont I? Whatever it is I'll at least rent it.

haha ok new spyro luva i was wasnt aiming my statement at you, but its something I've noticed alot in among the Spyro fanbase. What made me mad about DOTD was the fact it was too dang short, And trust me the gane had alot of potential to what could be the next game.

No one knows anything about it so we should all shut up.

The next game should be a gap closer in TLoS

Think about it, with those gaps in the plot(more accurately STORY) the series feels incomplete

Well, they have to continue the games, in the LoS universe. To fill in those gaps and ideas they might have in store.

LOS is trash after DotD, throw it away!

Like the producers would really throw away a chance to add more things in the next game after the reboot. They could have lots of ideas in store, what features they might add, what new characters might return from the trilogy.

The old trilogy is still around, SpyroLUVA. If you miss the Old Spyro so so much, replay the original trilogy as long as you want, and ignore new announcements of the next game that is possible set in the LoS universe.

My logic: Learn from mistakes and make it BETTER. Not trash something completely after a little slip-up.

I agree, they have a chance to improve the mistake they made in DotD. The producers will make a better game, maybe better than DotD.

Give it a couple of years and they'll be another game, hopefully not anything to do with TLOS.

Personally, I liked DotD, but I guess that's because I'm not an 'Impress me' gamer... If it's fun, then it is. If it's not, it's not.

I'm a bit too laid back when it comes to these things, but meh...

But still, if DotD was such a trainwreck, they should improve the LOS series, not throw it away all altogether. That'd be wasted potential right there.

The next game won't probably be named TLoS, but it will be set in that same universe. Still I hope Activision doesn't do anything stupid.

They could. But "The Legend of Spyro" title will be just like having the title The Legend of Zelda on every game title.
