We didn't get any new Spyro games during 2009 (nor any Sonic games smilie), and I haven't heard any official word of a new game in progress.

Anyone got some dirt?

They had yet to come up with a game plan for the next game after DotD, therefore a new game last year was impractical. As to no word, for the last three games there was never an official announcement till E3 (though there were sometimes leaks). There was mention that they have decided the next game will have a diffrent composer though.

Either the developers are working on something big for the next spyro game or there's an internal problem or maybe they won't even make any new spyro game? And besides i think that it's still to early to announce a new game

There wasn't a Crash Bandicoot game either, for the first year ever. I think all the series are gonna die.

Or Activision is keeping the information of the next games to themselves, and would just suddenly release the games without telling or showing us what the story summaries, details, or platform are about them before their release.

I did hear something about a new game called the destiny of Spyro but it is probbly a load of crap.

And it doesn't help that they keep trying to re-invent the whell with Sonic.
With Spyro,, I really have no clue what they might do. I don;t really understand the video game market.

The TLOS series has runs its course. The end may be here.

Crash's team have been fired and his future is up in the air.

Sonic is the only one who is still going, as well as that damn mario and his awesome Wii sidescroller/
