chapter 1:
Cyndro ran outside. She saw a pink dragon and a purple dragon flying towards her. "He's here!" She yelled happily. Spyro and Cynder walked outside to see.
"Hi Cyndro!" The purple dragon said. He was related to Malefor, so he was also purple, but Cyndro didn't care about his uncle. They were always going to be best friends.
"Hi Thunder!" Cyndro said back. She touched him with her wing. "Tag!" She yelled, then ran away as fast as she could. Thunder gave chase while his mother, Lilac, watched.
"We can bring him to your house once the sun starts to set." Spyro said to Lilac.
"Ok." Lilac said. "Do what Spyro and Cynder tell you!" She yelled over to her son.
"ok" he said, but he was still chasing after Cyndro. Lilac flew off, so Spyro and Cynder walked back inside, leaving Cyndro and Thunder alone. They chased each other, going deeper and deeper into the forest. Soon, they realized that they were lost.
"What do we do?" Cyndro asked, shaking a little from fear. She had gone away from the cave, but not this far.
"It's ok." Thunder said and put his wing over hers, trying to comfort her. "We'll find our way back. Don't worry." She smiled a little, but she knew that they needed to find their way home before night. They walked for a little while, hoping to find Cyndro's home. They kept walking until they found a cave. They knew it wasn't the one they were looking for.
"Should we go in?" Thunder asked, he sounded nervous, but also excited at the thought of exploring.
"I wanna see what's in there." Cyndro answered. She walked into the cave entrance, then whispered to her friend. "I think I hear someone in there! We have to be quiet."She tiptoed inside, followed by her friend. They both walked for a long time and their legs started to get sore.
"How much longer untill we find something?" Thunder asked."I can barely feel my legs anymore. I don't know how much more I can take of just walking." He shook his front leg, trying to get some of the feeling back.
"The voice is getting louder. Just a little farther..." She stoped in the middle of her sentence. They saw a big room. The floor seamed to look a little purple, and it looked smooth, like glass. They looked into the middle of the room and saw a purple dragon standing there. He was talking to bees.
"I've heard that Spyro and Cynder have had an egg. Find the dragon and bring her to me. I want to meet her." he said, smiling evily.
Thunder and Cyndro looked at eachother, then ran as fast as their legs could carry them. They had no idea who that dragon was, but they knew that he wasn't good.
"Who do you think that was?" Cyndro asked, shocked. Thunder was breathing so hard, he had to take a minute before he could answer.
"Malefor, my uncle. I never thought he would come back." He seemed more distressed than Cyndro did. "Cyndro, he wants to find you, and if i'm right, he wants to use you like he did to your mom."
"I've never heard of Malefor" Cyndro said, confused.
"He's a dragon that wants to destroy the world. I know all about him, probebly because he's my uncle. He tried to destroy Spyro's egg, but failed. He took another egg instead, Cynder's egg. He used her, and she unlocked where he was trapped. Spyro defeated her, and she turned back to good. After 3 years, Spyro and Cynder had to fight Malefor before the world was destroyed. They killed him, or so everyone thought, but the world was already breaking appart. Spyro used his powers to put the earth back into one peice, then he and Cynder flew out of the earth right before all the peices crushed them."
"I never knew that. Why didn't they tell me?"
"They probebly didn't want to scare you, but now he's back anyways."
"What's going to happen to me? Will he capture me?" Her eyes were wide with fear, having all of this piled on her in this amount of time.
"I won't let him capture you. I'll make sure of that." Thunder said, trying to be brave. "He's not going to do anything to you as long as I'm here."
Cyndro looked at Thunder. "What do we do now?" She asked.
"We should get some sleep." he said, looking at the sun setting. "we need to walk away from this cave first." He and Cyndro walked for about a mile, then layed down to sleep. Thunder noticed Cyndro was still worried.
"It's ok. I'll protect you, whatever happens." He put his wing over her. Cyndro was worried. That was what worried her. What if he died protecting her? She didn't want that to happen, All she could do was rest and hope.
