They don't care

Well, when I first got into the Spyro series when I was 9 or so, my dad played it with me so they were fine with it.

But as for now, they really don't care seeing as I'm older.

muy mum is weird and controlling over all things that have anything to do with fantasy or violence, in other words fun

my dad bought me it he used to play on the first one with me when i was five but he was hopeless so he gave up and just buys them for me

MY mam loves to play the old games she does not like the new one TLOS

my Dad does not care the only game he played in his life was a shooting game were you would use a plasic gun insted of a controler can't remeber the game

My dad think I'm a crazy for play videogame....all of the games, but my mom liked more than I...of course DotD

My grandma USED TO insult me for liking Spyro. :( My mom didn't really care about Spyro though so it's fine.

My parents think video games are childish in general. Esp anything from the cartoon universe.

I don't think they'll understand the Spyro games until I get them to see the movie that's coming out.

My parents don't mind at all what kind of games I play. Even before I hit 18, they'd let me get whatever games I wanted.

My parents LOVE spyro! My dad found it in our holiday house when I was 3 and then I played it ever since!

My mom plays with me, so that says what she thinks. And my dad doesn't like Dragons, but he doesn't say anything about me playing Spyro.

This is an interesting batch of comments of parents expressing the existence of those Spyro games. A more interesting question would be that, did your parents actually saw other video games before purchasing those Spyro games? Some of them may never seen such technology before -- mostly because those video games don't really matter to them (as busy adults) during the 80s or 90s compared to the 2000s. I think adults sometimes like those video game characters back then would remind them of their childhood, and wished that they can be like you guys in the 20th century.

For me, while my Mom doesn't really focus on playing video games, my dad wanted to play Tetris Plus for the PS1 compared to Spyro the Dragon. I repeatedly screamed and wanted to play the dragon game right now! Why that response? Ummm, back then I somewhat have a phobia of playing the other game... those SPIKES!


I even went far as locking the door and covering my ears to make it go away. Good times... I already got over it after playing a few times... ^_^;

I don't mind what my mom thinks, but my friends now, they think im a little odd, apart from one who loves dragons like me but they all know me well enough to get me Spyro stuff for birthday and stuff or anything dragon related

my mum used to like it (the original series) but when i got ANB her likeness for spyro went downhill... and mine went to the MOON!!! also my dad is a dragon hater and literally embarrasses me in front of my friends but they dont really care, like neonspyro, for b'days they get me anything DRAGON!!

My Dad doesn't mind at all, he actually encourages me, knowing that i've liked Spyro since i've been young. He helped me hunt down Spyro 2 GTG, which i eventually found after a while of looking

My Step-Dad, whom i've been raised by since 4 yrs old also doesnt mind, after playing TLoS while staying over at his house, he didn't think i was playing Spyro at all, until i told him about the Classics ending, reboot e.t.c

My Mum likes the games since playing ETD, but she's more a fan of the Classics. She hasn't played any of the Spyro games for a while though, Crash Bandicoot is more her game, fast moving.

wow your family is awesome, lucky! mine are the biggest spyro haters in the world (my opinion) and tease and embarrass me to death (i mean near death, otherwize i wouldnt be able to type right)

Wow o.o Your Family should encourage you and respect your opinions, noone can help their likes and dislikes, its part of who they are and its a feeling noone can control.

Well my parents like spyro the dragon. My dad actually plays with me when we are bored haha, he like both the classics and new ones. My mom likes spyro too. She doesnt play i, but none of the less likes the games. Especially when I draw spyro characters.

my dad knows that i love spyro- you should see my room but my mom keeps on saying 'whats that yellow dot?' and no matter how many tims i say that its Sparx, she keeps on calling him 'the dot'

my mum won't mind, she played (and was OK at) DOTD with me once, but i try not to let my sister see the oldies, cuz she think the originals are for babies.

I took out Year Of The Dragon and played it some last night. My mother walked through the living room, glanced at the television and said aloud, "(gasp) It's Spyrooo!"

my mom loves the first spyro game ever she plays it all the time! so when more spyro's came out she sayd of corse u can play them! but my mom just sticks to her first game i guess she wants to cleeng on to the old spyro instead of today-word type of spyro games

My 2 cousins who I'm seeing today watched me play DotD and they were glued to it and just stood there like zombies
