A member from the Spyro forum sent an email to Insomniac and he got a response from them. It's not the kind of response a lot of old spyro fans were hoping for though.

Insomniac spyro games were good, but i never really balived that insomniac would be back

I decided that Insomniac was not the best for Spyro a while ago, and that a new company trying to make an old style game could provide good changes which would enhance the franchise without changing it entirely. For example, Check Six did a great job maintaining the things that made ald Spyro great, even if it did need more time/effort put into it. And AHT was awesome if in need of a few alterations, ie. new voice actors.

Insomniac was the one who made the best three original Spyro games. Other game companies who tried to make the games like the originals didn't match what the original trilogy had.

I respect that and agree with it, but other old style Spyro games might be good. I already said why in my last post, so I wont repeat myself. Who knows, someone may do it so well that Insomniac no longer made the best classic-type games. Maybe someone will provide the changes we need while still maintaining the Spyro Insomniac invented. Anyway,I'm not fighting here, don't feel like it.

(I'm not gonna lie, I'm practically crying right now...)
old spyro wouldn't be old spyro anymore if insomniac took up spyro again, ya know? i would know, I've pretty much studied spyro all my life. i love the classics, but they wouldn't be classics if we went back. ya know? lets move on, we still have TLOS to finish and a movie coming out in spring to look forward to, right? right?

I totally agree. I love the classics better than any, but they're called classics for a reason.
