Here's my version. In all kinds of stories and folklores, dragons were fire-breathing beasts, what captured young girls, guarded treasures what they are stolen, killing many people and other terrible stuff.so,insomaniac games make they to be mean, but only to sheeps.

I never really thought about it much...
Well, they do "resurrect". (If you go away and come back, there they are. Hopping like no tomorrow. smilie)
Maybe that's why they (and the other fodder) got removed in the newer games...

I think the European dragons were depicted as evil and the far eastern dragons were depicted as good.

no,western dragons are evil.in china, dragons are symbol of good luck.and china is in east.that is one point why eastern dragons are good.

Just because they're good luck in one place, doesn't make it good.

Well, I don't even think the sheeps think in this game smilie They just say "baa" and is turned into a butterfly (wich is VERY odd xD).

You want butterflies just to fly around? That'd be harder to find, plus if you go away, they go away.

My opinion is that the sheep are immortal and can resurect themselves. They may also have no pain. it explains why They always come back and why The sheep hang around with the dragons. They are defiently using some kind of magic because of the butterflies. id say that the sheep have a deal with the dragons. the dragons keeps the sheeps alive with magic in return for killing them for health.

Toasty was protesting against this alliance, perhaps sheep do feel pain just dragons make sure the death is quick and they can return quickly. But Spyro torches sheep for fun and they come back and he does it again. Perhaps Toasty is protesting against spyro doing this.

Dragons eat sheep (probably, usually dragons are seen as sheep eaters) so probably find this as permission to treat them cruelly, before eating them. Good ol' Toasty's sticking up for sheep in this thing.
Also, if Beast Makers create creatures, I suppose they can make fodder any time so find this as an excuse for doing whatever they want with sheep. If they lose it, they can get hold of more sheep really easily.

I think that the Sheep are somehow made from Dragon Magic, and when die they turn into butterflies.
But it is very odd, I agree! smilie

If you have Crash Bandicoot 3,you can use a code to access a demo of spyro 1.
Also, some demo disc called Winter releases '98 has a spyro demo.

i'm happy if it helped you.
