I liked both but the original got a little old. Too many games ruin the series, TLOS was seperate series to the original(no duh) but TLOS had a new look and a different story. I found when I played Spyro the Dragon there was very little story and hardly any originality when it came to the plot. Ever heard of Croc? Similar plots, cute hero is living peacfully with friends, all of a sudden out of nowhere big bad man comes and traps cute hero's friends, not it's up to cute hero to save the day. Sound familiar? But I'm not knocking Spyro the Dragon, it was still a great game. But I have problems with it, such as it is too easy, I find no challenge and that bloody camera! Damn that infernal camera! TLOS wasn't a triumph but I kinda liked it. ANB was good on the DS but got a little boring, TEN on the GBA was the best TLOS game ever and DOTD the ending was nice, it had awesome detail and it was just like Devil May Cry. You kill the first horde then the next comes, cue the "Oh for God's sake!" after 4 hordes you may now proceed. They never give you an even chance do they?

Then your bet is off the mark, for Gaul is unique. Besides, the question you should be asking is... Did they have time to make more unique bosses? Because I'm pretty sure it's both easier and faster to take a boss that has already been used and change it a little.

In the end, the only time you can really be sure you understand the developers is when you are a developer. When you have experience with developing games. You never know... It may be a lot different than you think. So try not to judge the developers too quickly, lest you blame them for something that really isn't their fault.

Which reminds me I must finish Spyro sometime

for gameplay it would be the originals but for storyline and humour it'd have to be LoS.

Uhm, what is this topic called? TLOS or Original? Im not trying to sway anyones opinion really. But Activision are at a time where they have to decide what to do with Spyro. And it may be a good choice to go back to the old Spyro.

The first game (Spyro the Dragon) I agree with you, It did need much improvements. Many of them fixed in Spyro 2 and 3. Also, theres 2 camera modes. I hate the acctive camera, Maybe you hate it too (or maybe you might want to try the active camera as the passive isnt working for you)

This topic is a discussion topic. There are a few that are not, But this is befinitely one. 'TLOS or Original". Sounds like one to me.

As For How long they took to make TEN. 1 year. Same as Spyro 2 and3

Yes, well Insomniac pretty much does one game a year. Sierra obviously proved they CAN'T do one game a year. And even if Activision floods the Spyro team with employees to help the process move quicker, it won't make a difference really. <.>

I'm sure that's not the case. They probably rushed their games, so they can be finished sometime after the merger between Activision and Vivendi Games happened.

They had 1 year to make new bosses, this was the same amount of time insomniac had to make their bosses
