Sorry for the delay. Yes, madison-dwrd, ice is a good element, but Cyril is just all sobby and a big show-off. He's actually jealous of Malefor. Lolz And so is Crystal, Cyril's sister.

After half an hour of searching, Fireheart finally found Ignitus and the others. “Okay, now just Fern and Malefor to go.” Fireheart declared. Malefor stayed frozen where he was, he glanced up at Fern. She was as still as a statue. “Don’t move a muscle,” Fern hissed quietly. Malefor nodded, and held his breath. Fireheart trotted over to the tree where Malefor and Fern where hiding. He sniffed the tree. “Hmm…” he murmured, his tail and wings twitching. “I can scent Malefor’s and Fern’s scent, but their not here.” Terrador sat down next to Fireheart. “Maybe their up the tree.” Terrador suggested. Fireheart smiled. “Yeah!” Fireheart hooked his claws into the bark, and started to scramble up the tree. Fireheart had his wings unfolded in case he fell. Fireheart glanced up into the branches. He grinned. “Malefor, I can see you! You stand out like a white dragon in the grass.” Malefor sighed. “Okay, you got me.” Malefor called, he winked at Fern. Fern nodded from her perch. Malefor slide down the tree, and landed on the soft earth. “I wonder where Fern is?” Volteer asked. Malefor smiled but didn’t say anything - Fern’s green scales would camouflage perfectly in the green leaves. Fireheart climbed up higher, and laughed. “Ha! I found you, Fern!” Fireheart yowled. “Frog-weed dung!” Fern hissed under her breath and slide down the tree, closely followed by Fireheart. That was fun, he thought to himself with a grin. “Malefor! Malefor, where are you?” he heard his mother call. “Umm…I gotta go,” Malefor said to his friends. “Okay, see you later then.” Ignitus called as Malefor pelted off to find Mellina.

“Malefor!” Mellina beamed as she squeezed her son. Malefor blushed and tried to push away from his mother, but failed. Can’t breathe!- Mellina finally let go of him. She smiled. “Guess what! They’ve finished re-building the Temple! We can go back inside now - and you can finish off your training.” Mellina grinned. Malefor smiled weakly, he knew that this was his fault. I can’t believe I almost destroyed the Temple!…I don’t deserve to be here anymore. Mellina had obviously noticed that something was wrong, because she gave him a puzzled look. “Sweetheart, what’s wrong?” Mellina asked. Malefor swallowed hard and looked away. “Um…nothing, don’t worry - it’s just that…I…won’t be able to play with my friends as much anymore, cause I’ve got to do my training in the Dojo.” He lied. Mellina still didn’t believe him, but she sighed. “Okay - Blaze said that you’ll continue your training tomorrow.” Malefor nodded. “Run along now,” she purred, and nudged him forward. Malefor bolted off to go find the others. Gee…if anybody did find out, what would happen?

Chapter 4

“Feel the fire that burns through the sky…flames and destruction…flames and destruction.” Blaze told Malefor. He closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. Even though Malefor knew that he could breathe fire, he wanted to do this anyway. Although none of the Guardians or any other dragon knew he could breathe fire. Malefor blew his lungs out, scorching red and orange flames irrupted from his mouth. He opened his eyes to see a scorched Dojo dummy. Blaze stared at him with amazement and shock. “Well done, Malefor!” She purred. “It looks like you can breathe fire after all-” Blaze stopped, and bit her lip. “But what I don’t understand, is that you can breathe fire, but your not an actual fire dragon.” Malefor gulped. She has a point there, he told himself. “I must see the other Guardians at once,” Blaze said as she padded away. Malefor stepped back as the giant dragon statue rose up from the earth. If I can breathe fire, what if I could master any of the other elements? he wondered. Malefor felt his legs turn to jelly. Now Cyril will know for sure! What am I to do?

After three hours, every dragon in the Temple knew about Malefor’s fire power. Salmu and Mellina were both very shocked, but also very proud. Since neither of them were fire dragons, or had any fire dragon ancestors, this was a very big shock for them. Sokka was not impressed. Neither were Cyril or Crystal, now that Cyril knew that Malefor could breathe fire, he grew more and more jealous of him. But worst of all, Cyril now knew that Malefor had sent the Temple on fire - but he still didn’t know for sure.
“Mum?” Malefor squeaked. Mellina turned her head around to her son. “Yes, darling?” Mellina cooed. “You know that I can breathe fire…” he continued, looking at his paws. She waited for him to continue. “What if I had maybe…I dunno…other powers? Like maybe ice or earth?” he finished. Mellina grinned. “Maybe, who knows? You’re a purple dragon after all, a new species - anything could be possible.” Mellina replied and nuzzled her son. He smiled weakly; Malefor was afraid - afraid of what might happen if anybody found out his dark secret about setting the Temple to flames. He had almost told his mother then - but deiced not too. Mum wouldn’t be angry at me!…would she? he thought. But Malefor would have to tell somebody sooner or later. Maybe he could tell his father? No, Salmu is far to busy. He’s got more important things to do. but he thought about it, and deiced that it would be better to tell somebody then keep it a secret. So if any dragon did find out, they wouldn't rant and rage at him for keeping it a secret for so long. But Malefor wanted to wait for tomorrow, he would talk to his father then. Plus, he also wanted to tell his mother too. She had right to know - Mellina loved him dearly, she could never stand mad and Malefor for long anyway.

Malefor bravely padded up to his father - he was going to have to tell him sooner or later. “Umm…Dad?” Malefor squeaked, looking up at the muscular, strong, enormous earth dragon that was his father. Salmu smiled when he saw his son. “Hello, my boy. What is it?” Salmu asked. He looked down at his paws, not sure how to break it to his father. What am I supposed to say!? Malefor’s heart pounded in his chest rapidly, making him dizzy. “Err…umm…ah…” Salmu frowned. “What is it my son?” Salmu asked, growing inpatient. “I…I was the one who set the Temple on fire,” Malefor squeaked. Salmu stared at his son, flabbergasted. “What?!” Salmu roared. He looked away, scared of what his father might do. “Malefor, you have to be joking,” His father hissed. Malefor shook his head, shaking.

“Why the heck would you do such a thing?” Salmu roared. “It was an accident, I swear! I didn’t mean to set the Temple on fire!” Malefor cried.
“Malefor, you -you-” Salmu hissed. “Salmu, what seems to be the problem?” Sokka, Salmu’s father and the earth Guardian asked as he walked over. Salmu glared at his son, and then turned to his father. “Nothing, Sokka. Everything’s fine. Isn’t that right, Malefor?” Malefor’s father growled. Malefor gulped. “Y-yes,” he stammered. Sokka nodded. “That’s alright, then. Malefor, Asura, the ice Guardian, would like to test you next.” His grandfather replied. Malefor gulped. This could be interesting, before Salmu kills me first. he shivered at the thought. What would his father do? Rip him to shreds? Chew him up into tiny purple pieces? No, that’s more like what grandfather Sokka would do. Would Salmu tell the others? Malefor was shaking with fear. He had let the secret out, and he was going to pay the price. Asura, the ice Guardian, padded over to them. “Hello, Malefor, Salmu.” Asura greeted as she dipped her head. Salmu dipped his head, and hit Malefor on the shoulder with his tail for his son to bow as well. “Ouch!” Malefor hissed and copied his father. Salmu lifted his head up, Malefor quickly did the same. Asura smiled. “Follow me,” she smiled. Her voice sounded like delicate wind chimes blowing in the breeze. “Go,” Salmu snarled, and shoved his son forward. Malefor scrambled after the ice Guardian. Sokka and Salmu watched him go with watchful eyes. He gulped. Will Salmu tell Sokka?

Malefor watched with amazement as the giant dragon statue shifted under the ground. “Now, Malefor,” Asura, the ice Guardian said, “Ice is a very difficult element to master, that only few can burst. Listen closely, and you shall unlock the secrets of ice.” Malefor nodded. “Okay, I’m ready.” he mumbled. Asura nodded, she smiled. “I want you to freeze that Dojo dummy for me,” The ice dragon instructed. “Feel the frost, like the wind that whips through your wings…let it chill your body, then unleash the snow storm.” Malefor closed his eyes. He thought of nothing but snow, ice and frost. He thought about blizzards, and freezing snow storms. Feel the frost…feel the frost…the wind that whips through your wings…chill your body…chill your body…unleash the snow storm!
Malefor took a deep breath, and blew his lungs out. His mouth suddenly grew cold, Malefor’s legs started to shake. He heard Asura gasp with shock and amazement. Malefor opened his eyes, to see a frozen Dojo dummy. “I…I did it! I can breathe ice, too!” Malefor beamed. Asura was to shocked to speak.
“A dragon that can both master fire and ice…is truly powerful.” She murmured. He jumped up and down with excitement. “Just wait till I tell the others!” he yelped. The giant dragon statue rose back into place. “I must tell the Guardians at once, Malefor, follow me.” Asura beckoned him with her tail blade. Malefor skipped after the ice Guardian. I can breathe fire and ice! This is awesome! I wonder what the others will say? he wondered. But Malefor’s excitement soon faded when he realized that his father would be still furious at him for setting the Temple to flames. He gulped. Salmu wouldn’t hurt his own son, would he? Malefor shook his head and followed Asura into the Grotto.
