You never once see any of the dragons eating or even drinking at any point in all of the legend series, they are obviously carnivores by the teeth but could you imagine one of the elders or Spyro making off with an animal and eating it? Even at camp in avalar in dotd they have no food or drink for even hunter. And how much could a large population of dragons like that end up eating? Lol just question I thought up those moles look more like a food source for the dragons lol

HM good question (which i asked quite sometimes) my theory is that dragons don't eat, instead they aquire energy from gems, red ones give them vitality and strenght and green ones magic (for their elements) as for moles yes they look like they could be food for dragons, but their citi ( warfang9 was built to honor their friendship with dragons and if they were being eaten they couldn't develop such advanced civilization cuz they would be to buisy fighting for survival

That quote is legend sten is the man lol I still think dragons need to eat something but the crystals just give them life energy or magic, maybe the crystals work more for Spyro than another dragon, others might only gain a little power so it still fits with what hunter said. Purple dragons just have an affinity for the crystals

I know all the lore it's just the Spyro dragons a asked the question about. Like I put as well, only Spyro (and cynder) can use the gems for energy . The rest probaly do eat normally and so can Spyro and cynder

Yeah, I bet Spyro and Cynder can eat normally but can also use the gems, and that's what makes them special.

they dont cook. They are not chefs. They are wild and catch, kill, then eat. thats how it works. they are still extremly intelligent, but prefer to eat just like other wild animals. The bear catches, kills and eats. Lions catch, kill and eat

But these are the civilised versions of the dragon, not many bears help build and live in a city. I belive that in Spyros universe they have a wide variety of ways to eat, cooking their food or otherwise in conjunction with the other races; if they wish unless they are feral or something

i thort of that, but its not cooking the sense that we think is it. we dont chuck it up the air and roast it do we? Its not like roasting it over a fire, and some of the time they kill by flaming it

i have a theory... Dragons have a certain thing in their blood called Photorecepters (no, not like plants) that take energy from light, maybe they derive thier main energy from that, plenty from crystal and some from food. besides, most missions are pretty hard and i dont think they'll eat during the heat of it all. maybe thay eat during the times when ur off lol.
