Software Instruments used for StD Music? [CLOSED]

I use GarageBand a lot, and I've tried to make my own Spyro songs.
The only problem is...
Most of my software instruments sound horribly lame compared to the real ones used in the game... (Of course, I got that piano with a good chorus filter that sounded almost right...)

I don't suppose there are any music/Mac-savvy users here who know how to tweak the software instruments to get them to sound right, are there?

Maybe I'll get a link to that song I made and see what you think...

Yeah, I know. smilie
I probably think that since I grew up hearing it. =P
I'm working on a new song, we'll have to see how it turns out...
I have some software instruments I got last year for Christmas...
I'm hoping to get some more this year, but I dunno...
If I had the money, time, and ability, I'd go record some myself.
Sadly, all I have is a guitar, keyboard, and pre-made (but customizeable) software instruments... smilie

If it's garage band, why not contact Apple... it is their product, isn't it? <.<;

As long as this is allowed (most forums I go to say no links), here's the link to the first Spyro-like song I tried, as a test.

I'm working on another right now, I might add it soon.
And yes, there are a few sour notes at the end. I fixed it in GB, but I never got around to re-uploading it. smilie

I can give you a bunch of drum, bass and guitar notes but they don't come in the .ogg format lol.

Oh right. I think there are a bunch of porn sites that have some samples. There's strong UMPH factor in them.

Drum and guitar samples. I'm not sure about the guitar one, try to copy and pasta the guitar hold sounds so it last longer. Other than that, most play notes at different pitch.

Thanks for those samples.
My Mac took me as far as converting the .ogg to .mp3, which gave me warnings. smilie
Thanks anyway. smilie
I'm still working on that song, I might just post the piano-only part for starters.

To be honest, converting to .mp3 makes things worse, IMO.
.wav and .ogg are usually used for sound samples and such for lossless quality purposes.

Real nice song, my only gripe is that some of the drum beats are off. but i immensely enjoy it and i think you could make it 200 times better with more variation and synced up drum beats

Upon listening to your first piece of music, "Electric" -- I find that you made some decent effort, pretty nice. It almost sounded like the song leaned more into the music of Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly due to, hmm, maybe the lack of the organ-like sounds, or Spyro: Year of the Dragon due to the noticeable piano tuning. x3 I dunno, it's pretty decent though. Or take what Ratchet said... ;p

@Superspyrodude, not to sound pushy, but did you listened to a music interview of Stewart Copeland from YouTube? He was talking about how he made the music for the first Spyro games, along with three other Spyro games. Have you actually learned anything from the video? Have you tried experimenting?

Thanks for the comments, glad you like the song.

Your input should really help. Just the other day I noticed the piano was off too. (In more parts than just the end.)

As a matter of fact, I watched that video twice.
That got some of my creative spark together to write that song.
The only setback I have had so far is:
- The lack of a similar organ
- The lack of a similar guitar
- The lack of a splash cymbol (still trying to figure out what it is)
- The lack of money and resources to record music

Ironically, I noticed yesterday that I have an acoustic guitar and 12 string guitar instrument that sounds almost identical to those found in RR/GtG.
Maybe I could try a song from that...
