The darkness only stays at nighttime, in the morning it'll fade away. Daylight's good at arriving at the right time, it's not always going to be this grey~

This belongs in fanart.

Also, to Spyrobaby: I suggest you practice alittle, but this isn't that bad for a first try.

I take offense to that commentary. Being blind has nothing to do with the kind of art you like or draw nor does it have any bearing on one's ability to appreciate art.

I think you've got some decent foundations for being a good artist, Spyrobaby. smilie

They're better than what I can draw and I see some potential. Might I ask if you were using Microsoft Paint?

As much as people can appreciate art, people can also criticize it.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Of course. I just don't like your implication that a blind person can't appreciate art. Using "blind" in such a negative way is insulting to actual blind people (like me).

My bad. I'll use 'completely juvenile' then.

Hee, that might work better. Having been a kid myself, I can admit freely that most kids have no taste. smilie

For once, I agree with Ghakimx, this art isn't very good. Maybe you could practise a little first.

I think a good artist is a good person with imagination... No I can't be bothered putting the Spongebob picture thing on.

Saying that's "disgusting" or "childish" isn't criticizing, it's a worthless opinion. In this case there isn't something to criticize, first of all. But juvenile =/= bad. As for most kids not having taste, people that were teaching me art would likely agree that kids can be more artistic and do better art than many adults. Age discrimination is something I will never tolerate.

Anyone can do art, but not everyone can be an artist. Or something like that.

They fail. They're sloppy and ugly; they look like an infant did them.
It looks like you did that in one minute in MS Paint.
The first one has no obvious arm joint, and they both have way too thick necks. The jaws need more definition and the first one needs a mouth.

Kusama, true many things said here are mean, but we can all say what we like, no matter if it's summed up in one word or drawn out into a paragraph, or if it's stated harshly or kindly.

EDIT: Whoa, whoa, whoa, back up! Razz...You're...You're blind?! I had no idea! How do you type or play games or draw???

Those do look like they were done in MS paint... I could draw my dragon character in my cartoonish style, though. x3

A bit of practice could help make those pictures look better, though. :3

Anyone who has the guts to draw something and then share it with the world is an artist in my book, and often much braver than all of their critics combined.

Having bad taste is not the same as having no talent. When I was a kid, I'd watch anything that was animated, regardless of content or style. Kids are much less picky about what they like and there's nothing wrong with that. We refine our likes and dislikes as we grow.

New SpyroLuva, there is a difference between heartless, useless criticism and helpful critique. If you want to be responsible for someone never drawing again, possibly denying the world a great artist, and being generally disliked by the artistic community at large, be sure to talk like you just did to every artist you see. Yes, we are free to speak our minds, but freedom comes with a burden of responsibility. What you say impacts the lives of other people, so it is wise to think before you speak (which is easier said than done, but practice makes perfect).

Spyrobaby, don't take what these people are saying against you to heart. Some of them are just being opinionated and mean. You have good foundations and will be a great artist one day if you keep practicing. If you love what you do, you will succeed. And if you did do them in MS Paint, they're pretty dang good. I can't draw half that well in MS Paint. smilie

And, yes, I really am blind. All of your questions are answered right here and here.

Add a bit of shading and they'll be perfect on display in the Louvre.

Also, as the teacher of Spyros Dagger said, there is in fact no correct or incorrect way of doing art. There's just better ways. Same thing goes for science.

I don't lie to young artists and I resent the implication that I would.

If you're so against Spyrobaby's art, dingodile555, why not put your money where your mouth is and start your own art thread? That way you can show us all the "right" way to do art.

This person has obviously just started and bashing them is both unessesary and heartless.

However, if this person had more practice and could do a lot better, then I wouldn't blame you.

I'm a professional artist and I think one mark of a real pro is the ability to be strong. This means not belittling other people who haven't had the time I have to hone their skills, or mocking them just to make myself feel better. I may not like a person's style or I might think they need more practice, but I do respect that they are drawing and I know that their work will and should appeal to others who have different tastes.

It's not that hard to be civil.

I totally agree with you Razz =) I cant draw that well in MS paint either, indeed i find it pretty hard. My 1st ever drawing was done on GIMP, wasnt too bad i'd say, but i'm still improving and that will also happen with Spyrobaby. Keep practising and you'l get better. I remember years ago when i drew hanfdrawn Dragons, i was sooo bad at it, now i'm good at it. =) She also does have the guts to show her artwork, which is a good thing.
