ignitus dies? [CLOSED]

When does Ignitus die? Everybody says he does

The darkness only stays at nighttime, in the morning it'll fade away. Daylight's good at arriving at the right time, it's not always going to be this grey~

Bah, gotta do a spoiler. But he asked. <_<

He tries to get Spyro and Cynder across some flame wall and because he doesn't have the power to protect all three of them, he decides to use all his power to force them to the other side. However, he is killed in the process.

You know, I always thought why..

..they just don't fly over it? Sure it's hot out there and the air is full of smoke, but what sense is there be to go right trough the belt, killing Ignitus on the way?..

The answer is obvious.

Clearly there is some danger is flying over that was not made apparent to the viewer.
