Does anyone know what breath attacks are based upon? Like, is it the color of the dragon that decides its powers? Who can use which breaths? Please post any breath information you have.

Also, which breaths did Spyro have in the different games?

1. The colour doesn't decide the power it mearly shows what power that dragon has, i think that the power is the matter of genes
2. spyro really had many breaths but only in later games:


1. spyro the dragon-usual fire breath
2. spyro ripto's rage- usual, fireball via the SCP (supercharge portal), (you get many new superbreaths when fighting ripto, but you can only use them in arena
3. spyro year of the dragon- fire, fireball and a new water missile (SPC)
4. spyro enter the dragonfly- fire, ice, electric, bubble
5. spyro a hero's tale- fire, electricity, ice, water (you also have bombs)
6. AnB- fire, earth, electric, ice (you also get secondary breaths9
7. TeN- same element composition, you are also introduced to darkness ( you have to complete the dragon challenges to get it)
8. DotD- Again same elements for spyro, (cinder has: fear, shadow, wind, poison)

Some are good and some are bad. Crap list: bubble, water, electricity (TEN), earth (DotD). Good list: all the rest

No! (Well the second attack was alright) i was just really disapointed, i was looking foward to using lightning bolts not stupid balls that take forever to explode!

You can explode them whever you want if you press *breath atac& again. (forgoten button)

Are you insane, that electric ball was awesomely lethal! Way better than the bolts as I see it. i was going awww when they took it away. I loved watching it explode in Dragon Time.

Actually, electric is my favorite attack, but only because it is my strongest. I agree, though that it is sometimes inefficient.

I didnt really like ice in DOTD. Fire was my fave, although Ice WAS mine in ANB and TEN.

Yeah, the first attack was pretty rubish, but the tordado was ausome!

The electric orb is you only decent and reliable long range attack in TEN.

Uses for the breaths in TEN:

Fire Breath - Super effective against the undead.

Comet Dash - Never really used it, but I hear it does good damage once upgraded. The reason for this is I would often miss, making it a bad choice for me.

Ice Bomb - Good for mobs, swamp creatures, and freezing blunder tails in a position where they can be hurt.

Ice Tail: Good for swamp creatues (trolls). Seems to be somewhat more effective against blunder tails than other attacks.

Earth Flail - Best way to kill the ravage rider (if you press the breath button and release quickly) and it is good when surrounded if you have enough room to get started good.

Earth ? - Kills turrets instantly. Good when surrounded and the enemies are close.

Electric Orb: Good at a distance, particularly if the enemies are close together.

Electric Tornado: Good when surrounded, but it takes a lot of magic.
