Isn't malefor over a 1000 year old if purple dragons are onlt born only 10 generations from each other?

Yeah, was listening to the ANB cutscenes on YT and I suddenly thought, doent that mean Malefor OLD? Too old to rule the world? I guess the producers never thought about that. xD

Yeah, Malefor's been dead for close to a thousand years by the time ANB starts, according to TEN.

But wasn't he imprisoned in stasis until Cynder freed him?

Nope. Both ANB and TEN describe him as interacting with his forces, and TEN says that he brought a mountain down on himself, which killed him.

To add to what Razz said, in TEN he is going to be "resurected" (see Spyro's Lair) which implies that he was dead at that point.

Because he died when he was, presumably, middle-aged. And, of course, once you've been dead, any kind of life looks better.

lets see... a generation is, what, 20-30 years, right? so multilpy that by ten... that gives us 200-300 years. so Bolt is right. Malefor is only about 300 yoa. and, truly, that isn't very old for a dragon. now the Choroniclar... if he's been chronicaling for "many mellenia" like he says, he is at least 1,000 yoa. 1,000 is kind of old for certain dragon species. but he said "many", meaning more than 1,000 yoa.

Maybe he can't die from old age because he's got some kind of dark magic working on him. He's got that much power that I wouldn't be surprised if he could live forever.

Now I'm wonderin'....what's the average life span of a dragon in the Spyro universe?

I always thought dragons in general had much greater longevity than a human.

Ignitus and the Guardians have been living for the same amount of time as Malefor, too. In fact, I think they're older. Maybe it's a power thing. But dragons can live for hundreds of years anyway.

So Malefor can live(Kinda) for more than 1000 years? Hmmm.

No they are not. See the Chronicler seen in TEN, where it is hinted that they know very little about Purple Dragons.

Malefor's over 1000 year's old....

Well...I've always thought time standed still in Convexity..(where Maley was trapped..yes I call Malefor "Maley" Cuz I think He's cyuuuuute..xDD)

It doesn't matter if malefor is 300 or 1,000, the weakes dragon can live up to 500 and the most powerful would live up to at least 5,000 or 10,000, without breaking a sweat destroying the world.............Then again, malefor just sat in his layer all day and the destoryer and armies did all the work....

Or he was playing with himself, or with adult Cynder sometimes. What would adult dragon do with adult dragoness for about 10 years? They can play chess in evenings, then play hide and seek, when Malefor was alone he could paint, write novels, play chess with himself etc.

Even dragons can get bored after eons of idleness

I was confused about Malefor when I heard that too. But I always thought it was his soul trapped in conexity prison and that it was returned to his body in TEN.

So his boddy could be frozen or in Time Crystal, like Spyro and others, but only his soul was in Convexity? Why not? The eternal dream...

Remember,his spirit was trapped in the Well of Souls. Who knows how long he was in there.

And what he was doing there, only with spirit? Thinking about reproduction of Arctic penguins during the Summer solstice? Playing chess with himself (my fav version)?
