Like them, she is a Western heraldic (two wings, four legs and a tail). Of course, creativity is a good thing to have. And why should the series have only one female dragon? Like seriously. Just one? Where are all the rest? Did they all die off or something, and Cynder's the only one left? C'mon, let's see more female dragons in the next game...

As well, Cynder seems to be the only creature of any sort in DotD who we know is a female. (Can't say if that is so for ANB or TEN since I haven't played those yet)

I said it above, no she isn't. A Western/European dragon, at least the kind your thinking of, is defined only by the number of limbs it has. All of the Spyro dragons, male and female, are the same kind: Western heraldic. They have four legs, a tail, and a pair of wings.

Cynder is different from the Guardians simply because she's a girl.

Thou are right that they are same species, BUT generalizing All Dragons to western heraldic, wyvern, eastern korean etc as species is wrong... If we include dimension travel, then Saffira(random) is same kind with Cynder... THEY CAN BE EVEN REALATED... And just because both are western heraldic type? No, if we cannot take "western heraldic" as species, we can say: Saffira is Aläegasian rider dragon(random, again), and Spyro, Cynder, Cyril... is Realmed templeus (MOST RANDOM OLOLOL ME). Both species is wester heraldic styled.

She's Spyro and Cynder's kid (unoriginal), and there's another character called Sharley who is Violet's daughter (omg, major rip off), and there's another dragon called Amy who looks a lot like Sharley. The whole Spyro and Cynders child is old, and for me annoying to read. That's why i never went like that. But they are western heraldics and yes they do look different, but do we all look the same? No, It's genetics, and yes they're are a ton of males, and Cynder is the only one in DotD for some reason. Maybe it was sexist saying males are stronger?

Maybe. Fine if only one female fits into the forefront of the story, but they could at least put noticable females in the background. Some doing traditional female things, but others fighting and such. Maybe they could have made the bit characters look and sound like girls too. Like Mason could have been Macey!

Don't you know why there aren't any girls.

it was Malefor's plan to extinct every dragon by smashing all the eggs. But he had to have one to free him. Iggy escaped with spyro's egg, and it just happened to be that the egg the apes stole was a female. Because if there were no females, no year of the dragon. Which means dragons go extinct.
