As I expected there's no new characters The only new thing is the full artwork of Steel Plated Smash Hit and I like it... a lot.

At 1:44, you can see the words Spiney shell armor under the clown cruiser.

Yeah I think that Sun Runner is actually Supercharged or at least has mods we havent seen before (Jet Stream also had a back thruster that was in that really short gameplay of it for a second.) I was trying to read who the racers were and I think I saw:

Shark Shooter Terrafin
Possibly Bone Bash Roller Brawl but the picture kinda looked more like Splat to me. Either way, later on it'll be in better quality

Would've already guessed that they already have shown them all by now...... Don't think there's gonna be new ones.

Actually, it can have a story, albeit a very simple one. The stage select is ordered like in previous 3DS games, and dunno, something about the top hat guy reminds me of the usual spinoff racing plot of 'obvious villain sets up competition to trap its enemies/get mcguffins'.

There also seem to be Racing specific mods. The Spiny and Dry Bones mods go well over our known limit of 4 sets, since we know he has the Bullet Bill set on console already, plus Bowser Airship plus default.

If someone wants would just go into those element sections we could get art of every character

I wonder why they've only shown the sky racetracks so far on the 3DS version. I really wanna see how the sea courses look. Oh, and the different modes sound cool too.

I'm quite excited for this entry. The main game which I play on my 3DS is Mario Kart 7, I played the previous 3DS skylanders games but I never replayed them (in which I do with many of my 3DS games). This one seems that it will grab me as racing games traditionally, although relatively 'small' have an extreme amount of replayability to them. Even better, my main in Mario Kart is Bowser so it really is somewhat a Mario Kart spiritual sequel.

He was in console footage too, he might be a randomly appearing AI racer since RB did the same in Skyfamily's footage.

The story mode is like Sonic All Star Racings Transform's World Tour Mode. The layout is also simaler to SASRT 3DS. For those who rag out on this game form being a "Mario Kart Clone" (Witch is stupid) blame SSC for being a SASRT clone. Even so this game looks awesome! I can't wait to play it with Camo.

Eh, clones aren't bad as long as it's not a total ripoff. And this isn't, so while I'd prefer a sidestory like previous entries I'm okay with this.
Also even if Nightfall doesn't seem to be in the table, hopefully someone will try to scroll through the Dark menu on "accident", if not the other ones as well for more artwork.

It appears they have a character select screen, but again, what's the point of selecting a character if they all behave the same? The vehicle has all the attacks. I like the game but that part just keeps bugging me.

Looks good but definitely skippable to me.
Why would I want to buy a Skylanders game which doesn't even acknowledge my collection in terms of uniqueness and diversity and only lets my characters change a few vehicle stats?

It is a Mario Kart clone but that wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't just that.

I'll stick to the PS4 version this year unless other infos regarding a proper platform Story Mode surface.

I'm totally with you. TBH Mario Kart is one of my least favorite Racing games but I still love it. SASRT is still my favorite racing series but this game looks just as good.

Also anyone notice how Fire only had EE Erupter and no other EE?

It was stated at Gamescom that the top hat guy is the NPC who organizes the races. The same looks to be true for the 3DS, but you never know!

And we also found an interview to Guha Bala which revealed some small and big details of the console game.

Ugh! I hope someone goes through the list "Accidently" So we can see th artwork! We got a glimpse of Astroblast's and Roller Brawl's heads on their artwork. And plus we could see the variants since if Steel Plated Smash Hit was there... Then we can see other variants!

But back on topic, top hat guy really is the same in both versions,but the Difficulty Selection screen just makes him look like the usual corrupt millionaire kind of guy - not to mention the intro for Pandercastle Skyride he shows absolutely no care for the Skylanders' safety.

Man, it's times like these I regret not having a twitter or Google+ account; an LPer I watch has gone to PAX and they said you could ask the group to see any games featured - but of course they only see messages those two ways. Still going to check their videos about it in case they at least pass by the booth.(today it's still just travel stuff so no, even then we wouldn't get more than GameXplain for the time being)

I think of something interesting. I think that the races tracks can be played in all terrain types. You can see that the entire stage is with land, so we can have Land racing. Also, There's something down the land that looks like water (or any liquid), so we can have Sea racing. I don't have sure about that, but looks like that the stages of Racing can be played in any terrain type.

Yeah, but this pic wasn't very clear whether it was the normal or nitro. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

What they probably meant to say is that the only way to get Stealth Stinger day 1 is to purchase the Nitro version.

It appears Wave 2 won't be on Day 1.... Darn.

So from the video above, it looks like there are no unknown Fire or Earth variants.

What I saw looked brain numb boring...but I'm not the guy that goes out and buys sports games or racing titles either. Not expecting story whatsoever...just good old racing. At least you can extend your vehicle investments by getting the game, since they will go incognito on next game.

My preorder of wave 2 from Amazon still says it comes out day of release

I don't know if people already know that, but I find a video with a interview with Guha Bala, and I see some interesting details:

• You can see the SuperCharge animation of Gill Grunt and Reef Riper.
  
• You can see what elements are stronger in some zones of Skytlantis. Before the Sky Zone, the Tech element is strong. Before the Sea Zone, the Dark element is strong.
  
• The interviewer asked if they will make more collaborations with Nintendo. Guha skip the question, and started to talk about Bowser and Donkey Kong.
  
• At least, we discovered that Barrel Blaster is based in the Mine Carts of DK Country.

Well, if they continue to do 6 at a time, then can spread out EE over 5 years instead of 4. You start with 32 in SA, 8 EE in TT leaves 24. Now, you could do 6 at a time for 4 more years (6*4= 24) or you could keep doing 8 for 3 more. Now considering more people will gouge themselves and buy the whole set if the total quantity (and individual cost) is less, acti makes more money long term. Remember, activision is the pro at milking a series for all its worth. They know what they're doing, assuming they can avoid messing up too bad to keep the engine running for at least 2-3 more years.

Not sure why they are going in reverse on some decisions...obviously this saves money. I'd rather they save money by no longer printing the toy code on the stickers (if they have to do anything) than remove the card. That was a lot of fun for me and my kids...now gone.

Oh wait, I can spend money on their upcoming card game next year....heh...right.

Gotta agree with you, Lemons. The code and stickers are so small and do so little, between them and cards I'd rather have cards - not like some sellers on Ebay don't do better custom stickers already.
Almost tempted to make printable versions of cards by just editing the stats with the artwork, but I have too many projects already.

The cards don't even matter. Their kinda pointless. I don't get why people make such a big deal about them.

It's not like Battlecast's cards won't sell if they leave regular cards as they are... They don't unlock anything in-game... Right?

This is just another of those "don't fix it if it isn't broken" gripes I have with marketing and choices revolving around this entry...
Sincerely hoping they will return cards to normality in Skylanders 6 and hoping sticker sheets will at least be similar to cards and maybe thick enough so I can still add them to my collection...
