'And did you try to run away?'

".....not at first......it was only when everyone tried to get me back home did i try to run........"

'See? He wants me gone, but alive to be with you.....'

"......but it didn't work......even when he tried to be with me when you were gone......i still just wanted to be alone......"

'Look, this doesnt matter.......We just need to convince him to stay...'

".....he'll be in his room....someone will need to talk to him...." she said.
"talk to who? me?" asked Comet, just walking in. Starfire looked at him.

'I'll give you some space....' Nightfire said, then getting up and leaving.

Comet walked over to Starfire.
"i see you two are back together......" he said sadly. Starfire sat up, and looked at him.
"Comet, i'm not chooseing him over you. i still want you as a friend"
"but, i want more then that. Starfire, i've felt this way for a long time. i can't just let it go"
"you can try......i thought you would never do anything to hurt me......but it seems that you would let me feel some pain if you thought i would run to you...."
"thats not true!"
"is it?! you had a plan to leave to try and get me back. you follow me around like a dog when Nightfire leaves. all you want, is me. you don't seem to care what else happens, as long as you have me"
"Starfire.......i never meant to hurt you......."
"just....save it, ok? i don't wanna hear it. i don't want to hear excuses. i don't want to lose either one of you. i'm also not gonna choose between you. i donn't want you making anymore plans to try and break us aprt. i also don't want you to leave. please Comet, can't you just be happy for us? is that too much to ask?" she asked. Comet looked down. then he looked back up at her.
".........ok.......i'll do it...........for you......." he said. then he walked to his room.

Nightfire came back in afterwards.
'Everything ok?'

"i think so....." she said, looking down.

Nightfire walked beside her.
'Are you sure? You dont look it...'

she looked up at him.
"he said that he wouldn't do anything.......but i might have made things worse......" she said, looking back down.

'Well, we'll worry about it when the time comes, if ever....'

Starfire still looked down.
"i hope he dosen't do anything......" she said. Comet was in his room. he then used his powers, and made a hole in the wall that led outside. then he left.

'Look, if you feel something is going on, you can talk to me, and we'll sort it....'

Starfire then suddenly got a bad feeling.
"uh oh.......Comet!" she said. then she ran to his room. she opened the door, looked in, to see an empty room with a hole in the wall. "oh no! this is all my fault!" she said getting upset.

Nightfire went over and saw the hole. He went in front of her.
'Shh! Shh! Its not your fault! It was his choice!'

"but, why? why did he do that? he wouldn't do something like that! he was going ot leave on pupose, he would have sneaked out while we were sleeping, to avoid having us stop him..."

'I dont know, look, i'll get him back, i promise.' Nightfire said, before begining to leave.

Starfire then went to her room to lay down. Comet flew to a valley not far from home. he saw a stone by the river, and flew down to look at it. it was smooth on one side, and it would be easy to write on if someone wanted to put a message on it. Comet looked at the stone.
"perfect!" he said smiling. "its exactly what i need!" he continued. then he picked up the stone. "hmm.....its not that heavy either! i can fly with it!" he said. then he flew away with it.

Nightfire flew after comet. He yelled his name in hope he could find him.

Comet went to a small cave. he walked in, and sat down with the stone. he held up a sharp dagger, and started writing on the stone.

Nightfire flew around to find Comet. He heard some scraping and decided to check it out.

Comet was writning on the stone. he wanted peace and quiet while he wrote.

Nightfire flew into the cave and saw Comet.
'Comet! What are you doing?! You say you dont want to hurt Starfire, but you keep running away is making her feel bad about herself!'

Comet looked up. he then hid the stone.
".......i...uh......its not what it looks like........" he said.

'What? Your writing on a stone, whats the deal?'

Comet looked down.
"............its for Starfire.........."

'Well, whats the matter? So, its for Starfire....'

Comet mutterd to himself.
"how do i explain this....?" he asked, not wanting him to hear that. then he looked at nightfire. "look.......i'm thinking......of goig back to my own kind......to the other silver dragons......i was going to write her something...and put it in her room when shes asleep.......then i would leave......."

Nightfire sighed.
'We've been o.........Wait, is this another one of your plans?'

Comet shoke his head.
"no.....its not......i'll come back after i visit my family........i just need to go back home for a little while........"

'Good, otherwise Starfire would have gone after you, and you can see where im coming from......'

"she can't go where i'm going........silver dragons can open portals to other worlds.......we live somewhere else........somewhere far away......she wouldn't be able to get there.......i'll come back when i'm ready......" he said. then he picked up the stone, and handed it to him. "make sure she gets it....." he said. then he turned around. he breathed a silver cone, and then a portal opened. he then walked into the portal, it closed, and he was gone.

Nightfire sighed as he looked at the rock and flew away.

Starfire paced back and forth in her room. she was worried about Comet. she hoped that he would come back home.

Nightfire soon landed back.

Starfire walked out, and saw him. she was happy for a moment.
"Nightfire, you--------" she saw that Comet wasn't anywhere nearby. "----didn't find him....." she said sadly. she then looked down.

'I did, but, he said he wanted to see his family again, he told me to give you this.' He passed Starfire the rock which Comet gave him.

Starfire picked it up, and looked at it.
"excuse me.......i'm going to my room to read it....." she said. then she left. she walked in her room, sat down, and started to read the stone. it said: dear Starfire, i'm going back to my world to see my family. please don't think this is your fault. your not to blame. this isn't a plan to get you back. i won't be gone forever. i'll return when i feel the time is right. we've been friends since birth, and nothing can change that. i see now how much you really care for nightfire, and i won't come in between you two anymore. i may even find someone that i care for, but i doubt it. but, no matter what happens, we'll always be best friends. ~ Comet. Starfire looked up from the stone. she knew that everything was ok now.

Nightfire lay down.

Starfire dug into the floor, and made a place where she could keep the stone. she put in the hole, and covered it up. then she walked out of her room.

'You alright?'

Starfire looked at him. she smiled.
"everythings fine. i don't think we have to worry about Comet anymore..."

'Good. So, what now?'

"i'm not sure. i don't know how long Comet will be gone....."

'Well, we'll have to wait and find out...'

"i just hope he'll be ok on his own.......we've been together since we both hatched.......we've never been apart before......"

'well, im here, your mums here, so your not alone. Though, it does feel a little quiet now with only three of us here.....'
