"but i wanna know what it is...." she said. Starfire looked at her.
"Nightstar, why don't you take a nap?" she asked. Nightstar looked at her.
"but i not sleepy..."
"Nightstar, its time for your nap"
"aw....ok Mommy...." she said. then Nightstar left the room.

'Good girl....'

Nightstar left the room, and went outside to play. she saw a butterfly flying around, and started to chase it.
"i better make sure she went to bed..." said Star. then she went to Nightstar's room, but she wasn't there. she left the room, and looked around. "Nightstar?" she asked.

Nightfire looked outside.
'Nightstar?'

Nightstar continued chasing the butterfly. the butterfly started flying higher, and flew faster. Nightstar ran faster to keep up with it, and started jumping to try and catch it. the butterfly then flew higher. Nightstar stopped, and looked at it. she then sneezed, and a ice shard shot out of her mouth, and hit the butterfly. the butterfly froze, and landed on the ground.

Nightfire walked up behind her.
'I see you know ice.'

Nightstar looked at him.
"i just froze a butterfly! that was fun! can i do it again?"

'You should be in your room, shouldn't yyou?' He said looking stern

"but i'm not sleepy....i wanna play outside...." she said. she started to make the puppy dog eyes. then Starfire walked up to them. she didn't look too happy to see Nightstar outisde.
"Nightstar, you should be in your room" she said.
"but, Mommy--"
"not buts" she said. Nightstar gave her the puppy dog eyes.
"the trick doesn't work on me, now go to your room"
"i was only playing..."
"Nightstar...go to your room..." she said. Nightstar tired the puppy dog eyes again.
"now Nightstar. i mean it"
"ok..." she said. then Nightstar went inside.

'Why do kids always try that?'

"i don't know....maybe they think they can get away with it...but those kind of tricks don't work on mothers..."

'Well... anyway.'

"so, we can talk now..."

'Yeah....'

'Listen.... i know.. you might not want to talk about it... but it's about Cyan.'

Starfire sighed.
"what about him?" she asked.

'Well... you said he tried to kill you...'

"yeah...."

'Well... what else did he do?'

"well....he kept me from being with Nightstar.....he used an amulet to keep me from using my powers..."

Nightfire looked away.
'Anything... else?'

"not really....."

'Are you sure?'

"well....i went blind afterwards...."

'Great...'

"well, i'm not blind now...."

'No... it's not that...'

"then what is it?"

'IT's that... before Cyan died.... he said... "One of your children will die, but which one?!"'

Starfire looked away.
"did Cyan know...?" she thought.

'But... we only have Nightstar... Which... means he..'

"Nightfire......theres something.....i haven't told you......"

'What?'

Starfire went inside the cave. then she came out. she layed something down in front of him. its was a black egg.

'..but? Didn't he?'

"what Cyan said was right....i layed this egg when i layed Nightstar's....."

'Well... it's great... but... I thought.... he might of.... my dream...'

"what?"

'My dreams about him.... I was worried... he might have.'

Starfire looked at Nightfire. then the egg started to move.

Nightfire looked at the egg.

the egg moved around more. Starfire looked at the egg. the egg started to crack.

Nightfire looked at the egg. He saw something behind it. He looked behind and thought he saw Cyan looking a the two. He shook his head, the figure had gone.
'You can never be too sure'

Starfire watched the egg. the egg cracked more.

'Cyan?'

Starfire watched the egg.

ooc: you can take over the egg from here, so it can hatch.

The egg soon hatched.

Starfire looked at the hatchling.

The hatchling looked back.
'A girl...'

Starfire smiled.
"what will we name her?" she asked.
