Don't like how the 'value packs' are duplicating characters. When the next wave releases, I'll likely snag the Girl Power pack and get Ralph as a single, given as I've already got the two power discs included. Unless Ralph joins another 3-pack down the line.

I guess the power discs in the upcoming 'Frozen' twin pack aren't exclusive to the pack either, which lessens the value of that pack overall. That's a little frustrating, presenting the false illusion of saving even a few $ here and there on this game.

I'll have to duck into wal-mart today to see if they have any Woodys. And yep, saw 2 Jacks at EB Games yesterday in the Toronto underground PATH.

Not sure this has been posted yet, but the Jack Skellington Figure will also have a collectors edition version for like 4 bucks more but it comes with a nifty case.

All of the main disc packs are that white-ish color. The yellow ones you're thinking of are the TRU exclusive packs, only available at... well.. Toys R Us.

Is Infinity better than Swap Force?

I'm planning to get infinity for xmas and I want to know if I missed a great game or I wen't for the better option?

I'm wondering too, there's no place where I can try the game, and looking at reviews doesn't help me at all, they seem split.

If you like hack-and-slash adventure games, go with Skylanders.

If you like building your own worlds ala Minecraft, go with Infinity.

I will give Skylanders the edge in terms of overall polish and execution. I wasn't very fond of Infinity's story mode, which basically plays like a kid-friendly GTA where you complete missions in an open world. And you need to complete missions to earn 'spins' to unlock stuff randomly in the toy box, which is annoying. But the core world-building engine of Infinity is really solid.

I completely agree. I cannot figure out (no pun intended) why people compare these two games, other than the fact that they both have figures to buy and an interface platform to set them on to have them appear in your console game, they are completely different. I have the equivalent of a Honda Civic invested in Skylanders but only a small collection of Infinity stuff (starter, one playset and a few figures) and honestly my son and I got fairly bored with it quickly, whereas we play Skylanders quite often and there is a lot more interest in leveling up the figures and completing the levels fully in Skylanders.

For example on Infinity, I have the Cars playset, and honestly, it does not *feel* that much different than the last two Disney releases of Cars PC/console video games. Racing, collecting, etc. Maybe the Toy Story playset will be different or the Lone Ranger one would be also, but I am just not sure I want to invest more in it, other than possibly the exclusive figs.

Just my thoughts and $.02
